Great video. Where can find the redken color charts?
I’m about a 6 at the roots but they are grown out and I’m a natural redhead I want that covered and have sandy blonde hair towards the mid / ends of my hair (in a cosmo student still trying to learn redken eq shades) what would you do if I’m wanting to be a bit darker all over but still have some dimension throughout my hair? For what would you use for a level 8 brassy would you use the VB series at all?
Yes!! The VB is just really strong! You could mix it with an N!

I have a question! I bleached recently from very dark/medium brown to varying tones of 6/7/8. I'd like to go strawberry blonde but idk how to tone down the brassiness while still maintaining enough warmth. The shades look hella intimidating 😳

I need a shades chart like the posters that have the background colors across the top. I’ve printed and even had them blown up into a poster and laminated and you can’t tell the color of the little boxes and you cannot read any of the words on it. The more I blow it up the more blurry it gets. I couldn’t even read it on a piece of regular paper. I’d be happy to buy one. I’m another color class there’s a class mate I don’t know, but I put this on there and he says you can still get them I work at Cosmoprof and we have tons of them, we don’t ever give them out though. For me to buy all this product and not have a chart would just plain ignorant. The one one I downloaded came from my other color teacher. She uses hers on her phone. I can’t do that bc phone goes back to Home Screen every few minutes if you’re not hitting buttons. She said she also had a poster of it, but redken told her and me ther fo not give them out anymore. If they want new customers I need that and a conversion chart from wella color perfect

If u can show me how to partial highlight white blonde almost I got done but want to keep this since can’t afford ulta any more, and then I need a tap little root to give dimensions she did a shadowroot twice and was way to dark for me so on out tap it little she says so what does she mean and what color for the tap and then tone it she did on damp hair since I had that first of can please walk me thru the steps and what to buy since she told me get redken and purple toner is all she said to get for me she used lightener only for the highlights she says for the highlights so is that developer 20 with the redken lightener ? And how much to mix for that , then what for tap root shadow little , then tone it with the redken purple toner ?

I'm not a cosmetologist, but I have access to the pro products because I'm a manicurist. My boyfriend wants to be silver grey, like Johnny Knoxville 😁. I bought Redkin EQ 9t and 9v, by recommendation. The shade seems to be too mushroom/grey. What would you recommend?

What level is your boyfriend already? If he's a 9 or 10, maybe try the 10 series. 10p and 10v with some crystal clear to dilute any excess ash / darkess.
The t shades are grey which I personally want to use to correct my overly red roots, but I think the 9t might turn a bit mushroom, especially when mixed with the other ashy shades of p and v.

Love your videos ❤️, I have a question I have someone that has a permanent hair color (redish brown kinda permanent color) already all over her hair but she wants to go darker on the roots I was thinking to use shades eq gloss demi permanent (4n + 3v) with 10 volume on her hair roots kinda melt down I chose 3v to kinda neutralize the red tones that are already there. So my question is is that a good idea and my formula and will demi can be used on top of already permanent hair color? Or should I remove the permanent? Thanks 🙏
I'm going to be using Shades EQ over my permanently coloured roots and bleached mids and ends, so I think it's ok to do that. I hope so anyway!
Shades EQ doesn't lift and is a surface gloss toner, sitting mostly on top of the hair cuticle (unlike permanents that use bleach, peroxide and/or ammonia to get open up and inside the cuticle to make the colour last longer), so I'm assuming whatever the colour is, whether natural or permanent, the Shades EQ toner will simply go on top of it.
The most important things are the level (like 3-5 for darker, or 7-9 for lighter) and the tone.
If there's any red and warmth in your person's dark roots, it depends how much she wants that red gone. Completely gone and replaced with pure cool / ash tones, I would maybe not use the plain N as it may not cancel out enough red. The NA could be good, or even a T, but with the strong ash tones, they will tend to come out much darker. If your person is currently a level 5, and a Shades EQ 5NA goes on, it could end up looking like a level 3, which might be really nice and what she's going for. If she's already a level 3, I'd try a 5NA still and no darker, as otherwise it could go black. The 5 on top of 3 won't lift the 3 at all, which is good (no orange, lifted roots like some other toners and dyes do!)
I mentioned maybe using a T if she wants a really cool look, but that may go green if her existing brown isn't dark enough. Actually, you could try a N and a T as the T might cancel out any potential leftover warmth in the N.
A V is lovely, but it can end up making reddish brown hair look even more red, as violet is made up of blue and...red.
Anyway...I hope that made some sense!
What about 8t and 9t?
I think this is best for more of a grey / silver tone. T = titanium.

Do you have one of those posters that you hang in the dispensary that has all the colors of the line and then, of shades eq liquid demi, with the background colors listed across the top. They don’t send those out or give those away anymore. Trefkrn sends a pdf and you can’t see it on your phone. Do I printed it on red paper, even worse you couldn’t see the blocks of color or any words they were so blurry. So I take it to office max and had it blown up not poster size but about half that and it was the worst of all, there’s nothing to read on it it’s sooo blurry. Do why would anyone go out and buy this system without the proper info on it. I don’t need all hose sway tch books or any of that I just need that chart. I would be willing to pay for a new one if anyone has one they don’t need or use. Someone that wax in a class with said he worked at Cosmoprof and they get thousands of those things snd do not give them out . He said tgey throw them away. You call redken and it’s supposed to come with the color system when bought but it is not! The guy said pm me after class, and I cannot remember his name to save my life.
