Everything happened according to the script. If it wasn't Glioblastoma, it would've been something else. It was curtains for TM on 4/3/2000 because his successor was 'born' 27 years prior, 4/3/1973, just like Alan Watts time was up 11/16/1973, because his successor, TM, was born 27 years prior, 11/16/1946.
