I wanted to remake this video similar to the animated one I made. I think that video is one I am the most proud of and so I wanted to remake it in live action :) Also to clarify since I saw a comment pointing it out. I know it might be confusing with Obi Wan for example. I wanted this to be almost right before the end of ROTJ where the final duel happens with Luke. At this point I felt Vader was the most conflicted which is why when he talks to Luke in a different way almost on the bridge of Endor where he doesn’t even deny what Luke says about there being good in him he just says “it’s too late for me”. They do fight but Vader sacrifices his life to save Luke and then expresses to Luke how he was right about him and there was still light in him. I wanted this to be his internal thoughts he had buried down come to life importantly when he talks to himself (Anakin). While obviously Obi Wan as a force ghost wasn’t reaching out to Vader, I do believe Vader would have some thought deep down that Obi Wan would still want to help him.
Always felt that anakin was the most tragic villain ever. Born a slave, never accepted by the jedi, manipulated all his life by sidious, and in an attempt to save what he loved in war time, loses everyone he cared about and his humanity
@@joshhaddock6772 not really this is just before return of the jedi in the comics he also starts to doubt more and more he even discovered a holo recording of padmes death
The one thing they got wrong is that Obi Wan never believed Anakin could be redeemed. Even as a force ghost Obi Wan gave up once Luke made up his mind to go to Bespin to fight Vader believing they were gonna lose their one shot. Luke was the one living person in the whole galaxy who held enough faith to defy that paradigm. Before Luke leaves Dagobah again he tries to make Luke believe that killing Vader was his only choice. Also if this is after New Hope Vader should well know that Padmes death wasnt HIS fault
"Redemption is not for the perfect. It is for the brave" Bars, Qui-gon, bars! 🔥🔥🔥 Seriously the dialogue writing for this series is absolutely fantastic well done :)

That lowered tone on Vader’s vocal modulator when he said “I miss you so much.” really hurts. As dark as Vader had become he still can’t let go of those he’d lost that were so close.
This was such a sad and emotional scene. Darth Vader visiting Padmé’s funeral and filled with nothing but anger and regret of losing his angel. The two of them deserved better than this. 🥺
This was all the result of Palpatine's manipulation of Anakin. So sad that Anakin listened more to Palpatine than those who he considered his family. Even Padme was unable to break him free of his turn to the dark side.
This was beautiful man. Instead of the usual dead Jedi talking with Vader, it reaches even further back to his own childhood and his connection with his Mother. Well done my friend.
There's probably nothing worse than being cursed by your own conscience. That's what lord Vader had to live with ever since his rise from the operating table.
The ai is ridiculously GREAT now. Even the lip movement looks natural now without distorting the face. You could redo all the old animated ones to this style and I'd watch it again.

Agreed. However, the end of Vader / Anakin's story has already been written and that can't change. But yes, there could be a lot of great material for those in-between moments.
Vader’s silences in these scenes ironically speak volumes. He has no response, no denial, no delusional platitude from Sidious. Just acceptance that he’s wrong.
Wow, that was deep. These thoughts Vader had of all the pain he caused to everyone he loved as well as himself, represents the struggles of all of us every day.
"You never understood what it meant to lose everything. " "I did Anakin... I lost you. I lost my brother. " Wow. This dialog is so good and deep... yet fits perfectly.

We need a Darth Vader trilogy-not a streaming series, but a full-fledged theatrical film trilogy. The first film would explore Vader’s early days, showing his struggle as he fully embraces the dark side, hunting down Jedi survivors and cementing his place as the Emperor’s enforcer. The second film would take place at the height of the Empire’s reign, depicting Vader as an unstoppable force of terror while also hinting at the inner conflict beneath his ruthless exterior. Finally, the third film would be set between Empire and Jedi, subtly foreshadowing his eventual redemption with key moments of doubt and reflection-scenes like this one would be perfect for that. A trilogy like this could add so much depth to Vader’s character while delivering some of the most visually stunning and emotionally compelling Star Wars film series yet.
I know i'm in the minority... but nowadays i prefer series than movies... there's more time to delve into the characters... scenes like this one would have been cut in a movie, because you can't have 7 minutes of dialogues in a Theater... but in an HBO show, you can. (Please, note that when i say i prefer series to movies, i'm NOT talking about Disney+... more the likes of HBO)
I think that is one of the reasons why Vader had anger for Obi Wan, thinking that he didn't lose everything like he did, but Obi Wan did in some ways, more than others. Aside from losing a friend and brother, he did believe he was the chosen one and to have the chosen one do a 180 is devastating. How would one feel if the messiah of your religion just did the opposite of what was foretold? Many don't recognize that Obi Wan had feel that kind of pain.
