Vader was so angry that by sheer will through the Dark Side "Palpatined" became a verb and was coined in a video produced in a galaxy far, far away a long, long time in the future.

Technically, Sidious didn't lie. He said it SEEMS he killed her which implies Sidious didn't know her exact cause of death but speculated Vader was the cause.
The issue is that Palpatine treated Anakin like his own son. Looking out for Anakin, supporting him, and promising him that together they would find ways to save padme etc... Pretty safe bet that if Palpatine had been physically present instead of a hologram, Vader could have killed him with the sheer power and anger swelling up within himself. Also a safe bet that Palpatine knew this and that's why he reasserted dominance immediately.
Did the Emperor REALLY lie, though? He wasn't aware of how Padme "lost the will to live", or that she had given birth before she passed. His dreams, and foresight, hadn't given him glimpses of what was to come from these events, so in a lot of ways, he did one of those most terrible things he does; he used "the truth" as his weapon. That's my view of it, though. RIP James Earl Jones
I'm convinced that Vader, even after knowing that Sidious is a liar, and his discovery of his son being alive, kept being Vader as a punishment to himself. He hated himself so much that he tormented himself by being Vader to show himself that "This is the consequence of your choices and actions, and you get to see it for yourself."
After he chokes her she loses her will to live, there’s a very real sense in which he did kill her. She says before this happens that he is breaking her heart, and then she dies of what is basically a broken heart.
Palpatine may have lied but he was also telling the truth in a sense because Anakin was angry at Padme and his fall to the dark side broke her heart which caused her death.
The Vader's Quest graphic novel was one of the first pieces of Star Wars media I read after moving to my current address. If you haven't already read it, please do so, it's amazing!
Yup! I'd often wondered if Anakin ever discovered that it was Palpatine who was behind all the attacks on Padme? I don't think Anakin had time to put it together. He should've realized that Palpatine was Dooku's master and that Dooku was trying to kill them on Geonosis and Jango Fett, an assassin that was hired to kill Padme, was at Dooku's side.
But Leia... Did Vader sense nothing from Leia as he had her drugged and interrogated for an undisclosed amount of time? Would Vader not have used the darkside on Leia to force out the location of the Rebel base? Leia didn't crack, Vader got nothing out of her. Sure, she wasn't trained but to resist a darkside irrigation complete with drugs and a torture droid? Leia would clearly have been a presence in the force. Plus, Leia fires blasters with her eyes closed, mirroring Luke's lightsaber training with the blastsheild over his face. Was Leia instinctively aiming her blaster shots with the force? Did Leia instinctively use the force to resist Vader's interrogation? Did Leia instinctively tap into the force to gain enough physical strength to strangle a hutt? Did Leia instinctively tap into the force to empathically connect with other sentient beings like Wicket? We're not told, but were we shown Leia's force abilities in the original trilogy?
Those glasses were made to withstand the force of flying in hyper room and bast fire from other ships making it crack with the force due to his rage....gosh Vader was pissed to the max!!
I think it's funny that he holds back from destroying the transparisteel window. You have to remember that it's capable of taking direct laser cannon attacks. And he just starts cracking it from being pissed.
Pregnancy can be dangerous. Many women die from childbirth. Anakin did cause Padme's death. The extreme stress she experienced while carrying twins killed her. Stress she wouldnt of had if it werent for Palpatine and Anakins shenanigans. Padme would probably be alive if Anakin was there holding her hand. But fate had other plans..
1: Rest in Power James Earl Jones, you are and always will be one of the GOATS of Voice Acting. 2: We already had the moment of realization for Vader figuring out that Palpatine lied to him, at the end of Empire Strikes back. While Palpatine is zapping the shit out of Luke, you can see the thoughts lining up in Vader's Mind, as Anakin resurfaces and takes control of his mind and body once more, the realization that he was not the one responsible was palpable even without a word being said. So giving Vader a moment where he realizes that sooner, COMPLETELY UNDERCUTS THE EMOTIONAL POWER OF THAT SCENE! Why is everything Disney adds to Star Wars (other than the Mandalorian) complete ass??? (Note, I am referring to completely new ideas/content, not expanding on existing ideas/concepts. Ahsoka and Mando fall in the latter, the sequel trilogy fall in the former.)
Can you do a Whole analysis of General Grievous Personal lightsaber style? WE know he has knowledge of all of the 7 forms of lightsaber combat but what about his lightsaber style he preferred himself?
So that’s how Vader found out, by sending Boba Fett to Tatooine to Kenobi’s finding Luke. How did Boba know Luke’s name? I have to read that graphic novel. Thank you excellent video!
Honestly that’s one of the mistake I feel like obi won made, hiding Luke from anakin, obiwon knew how much anakin loved padme and should have known if anyone can save anakin it’d be his own children, but idk
I have a bit of my own head canon where at some point vader encounters R2 maybe while stopping a rebel mission between TESB and RotJ, and in a brief moment of silence R2 plays a recording of Anakin and Padme's wedding from the end of AotC and in doing so they share a moment of silent reminiscence with each other just before Vader breaks out of the memories and continues his attack. Probably going to flesh this out at some point and turn it into an actual fan fiction of some kind.
I have an idea, a question for speculation. What kind of emperor would be Anakin Skywalker? And what kind of emperor would be Darth Vader? It's not the same question. - Let's change ep.III a bit. What if Anakin survived Mustafar un-mutilated, disposed Palpatine shortly after that and became new young emperor. What would his rule look like? - Let's change classic trilogy era instead. What if (after many years of apprenticehood as a tortured half-machine) Vader disposed Palpatine. What would Vader's rule look like?

Vader was so angry that by sheer will through the Dark Side "Palpatined" became a verb and was coined in a video produced in a galaxy far, far away a long, long time in the future.
I can imagine how mad he would be, it's the kind of thing that will make anyone snap
You just got Palpatined
Your video is so awesome and so are you! Palpatine is ended by Vader throwing him down the ventilation shaft in the movie. Such a satisfying death.
I mean, his dark side still caused her death. She was so broken hearted that the trauma of childbirth right after finding out her husband just slaughtered a bunch of kids killed her.
Is that really what caused it though? I'm not sure there's a concrete theory on her death
@@dabess777 it’s my interpretation of it, at least
From Face Value, it seemed she died of a broken heart. It takes toll on the mind and attacks the Body. Grief killed her...Palpatine is a grimy Mastermind.
@@305VERSATILE Padme did not lose the will to live and die of a broken heart, but instead had her life force drained away by Palpatine to keep Darth Vader alive following his injuries on Mustafar, however her cause of death was misdiagnosed by medical droids that did not understand the Force
@@victorcambridge1854 it could also be that Luke and leia force power kept her alive until they were born and the drawers, don’t even understand the force
First time to your channel. Thanks for a video really well done. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Cheers from Canada!
After all these years of watching HISHE make the "I have a son?!?!" Joke that he actually says that in a comic is delightful
Thanks for standing with Theory
Without James Earl Jones, star wars truly is dead. The sequels by the house of mouse didnt help. R.I.P. James Earl Jones. Your voice was one of a kind.
These videos are better than anything Disney has done with the Star Wars franchise.
love your videos
😢 If it helps, I could give you a sympathetic hug of comfort, Big V.
This makes the whole "Join me and we can defeat the emperor and rule the galaxy as father and son" thing make so much more sense.
"I HAVE A SON!" Greatest moment in Star Wars Lego.
Something always to remember, "A powerful leader is only looking for a powerful servant and not a powerful friend. Subjugation is whats wanted and not the potential for a rival"
the best of all is that it fits so nicely into legends to unless legends have its own reveal of when he found out. and if not it nicely covers up a important plotholl in regard to how vader learned about luke beeing his son.
1:30 blame yourself, Emperor Soros.....er, Sidious.
Thank you. Love your videos. :)
When I saw the comic panel in the video along with you reading out "I have a son" all I could think of is the running joke about it by HISHE.
It's in this moment that Vader realized (the same as the other sith before him realized) that Sidious is a deceiver through and through. Only looking inward for self gain no matter the expenses to anyone around him.
@@joshgaston7839
In fact Emperor didn't tried to save/ cure Padme. She was in Senate when Empire proclaimed, and Emperor not send anyone to call Padme for visiting him in throne room.
@@joshgaston7839
I think Anakin recognized that Padme survive Mustafar when Luke Skywalker 's existence confirmed. Perhaps Anakin also thinks about Leia as tween of Luke in time of Hoth and Bespin.
@@mirkojorgovic Anakin knew nothing of Leia until Luke's thoughts of her on the death star revealed her to Vader.
Sidious lied about everything and knew that Padme's death would anger and strengthen Vader in is hate and anger
@@joshgaston7839Yup. But with all the technology, how did Padme not know she was having twins. Or did she and she wanted to surprise Anakin...
I’m so glad I found your channel. I didn’t know what channel to follow because of how crummy Disney Star Wars was. And then I saw you just focused on the best parts of Star, even in the mess that is Disney.
Wah Wah Wah Disney Wah Wah Wah
Anakin was surprised that his master lied to him.....like the guy wasn't doing that his whole life.
Star killer should've gotten his own movie or saga.. Canon to some but not too others he's still a Central part of the story to me
Palpatine may have lied but he was also telling the truth in a sense because Anakin was angry at Padme and his fall to the dark side broke her heart which caused her death.
The Vader's Quest graphic novel was one of the first pieces of Star Wars media I read after moving to my current address. If you haven't already read it, please do so, it's amazing!
Palpatine lied about a lot of things just so he could remain the master sith lord and keep his power as emperor
Great vid
*Weekend viewing vibes!* ⭐😃👍
Those glasses were made to withstand the force of flying in hyper room and bast fire from other ships making it crack with the force due to his rage....gosh Vader was pissed to the max!!
I think it's funny that he holds back from destroying the transparisteel window. You have to remember that it's capable of taking direct laser cannon attacks. And he just starts cracking it from being pissed.
Here's a suggestion for a what if.
What if Padme had not just barely survived long enough to give birth but make a full recovery
Amazing video
Great episode guys.
Again I love your stories and gives me my Star War i wish we would get keep doing what you do my brother 😊
I mean when he learned about Luke that’s when I thought . He would be like hey wait a minute !
You just got Palpatine'd
WE know he has knowledge of all of the 7 forms of lightsaber combat but what about his lightsaber style he preferred himself?
you make beautiful content my friend.
What did he expect? Palpatine lied about everything.😂😂😂
Hiding him from the Empire, keeps the Skywalker name.
Replace the empire with Disney
So that’s how Vader found out, by sending Boba Fett to Tatooine to Kenobi’s finding Luke. How did Boba know Luke’s name? I have to read that graphic novel. Thank you excellent video!
You forgot how bad he simp over her too and the dreams made it worse simp so hard he lost everything
Awesomeness Continues! 👊😎✊🍁👋😎👋
They really need to do a Darth Vader series while Christian is still able to play him...
