"Punishing anyone responsible for concealing his child's existence." Vader should've figured out already that Obi-wan was the one who had hidden Luke from him all these years. First, Vader knew that Obi-wan took Padme off of Mustafar while she was still pregnant. Second, he also knew that Obi-wan and Luke were onboard the millennium falcon that flew off of Tatooine. Third, when Vader took Luke's lightsaber, he realized it's the same blue lightsaber that Obi-wan stole from him after their fight on Mustafar. Finally, Vader knew that Obi-wan lied to Luke about his father being killed by Vader hence, why Vader said "I am your father". One more thing, if the medical droid had shown the complete footage of Padme's final moments, Vader would've known that Princess Leia is his daughter and Luke's twin sister long before their final duel in Return of the Jedi.
thats a stretch, i but think it was meant as symbolism. as she died Vader was born, he gave up life he gave up his soul. MAchines kept him alive, his anger because she died empowered the dark-side
I agree. That's a heck of a lot better than a warrior-queen-senator losing the will to live after birthing her twins!! She would have fought with everything she had to stay with and protect her babies. I was so livid about the way her death was written!
I think Palpatine used the force to kill her so that Vader’s only focus, only allegiance would be Palpatine himself. He feared the light of Anakin’s love for her because it might ultimately break the dark side “spell” that tethered Vader to him. Remember that Palpatine had told him of Darth Plagueis’ ability to control life and death itself, but of course did not tell Anakin that he had been Plagueis’ apprentice and thus learned all that Plagueis knew. So I think Palpatine had planned to eliminate Padme all along and saw an opportunity to imprison his new apprentice in self-hatred and guilt by telling him he himself killed her, cementing his (and the dark side’s) hold on him. Finally, remember the medical droids’ puzzlement at Padmés decline and death, saying they did not know why it was happening and that she should be recovering. This also suggests something else was causing it that was not “physical.” As I said, I believe it was Palpatine through what he learned from his old master.
How did Padme die anyways? I read somewhere that Palpatine killed her from afar. That would make more sense because I doubt she died because she lost the will to live. That doesn't happen at her age.
That Palpatine bit is a fan theory. In Legends, she died because she lost the will to live, and since she was carrying Luke and Leia in her womb, it triggered cellular necrosis in the midi-chlorians she was carrying in her body and killed her. This is explained in the Legends book “Book of Sith.” In canon, there’s not a specific explanation as far as I know
I thought she died in child birth. I thought that with everything going on that she didn’t make it to a hospital and had complications with the birth. I think the production team just let us assume that or something to that effect. Even in reality, many women have complications with births.
Now, if Luke was a brother man it would have gone like this. Vader - "No, luke. I am your father. " Lucas- "word?" Vader - "Join me and we can rule the galaxy as father and son" Lucas - "say less. lets get this money"
I have always felt that Anakin/Vader fulfilled both Sith and Jedi Prophecy. He is the only Sith to return, ever from the Dark Side, and the Jedi who made it possible to reTurn from the Dark Side. That was how brought balance to the Force. Many say that others had as well, but I reject that idea, just as I reject most of the books, and all the Disney movies.
As stated in the video, the recording was from the damaged databanks of the midwife droid. Vader was only able to view that fragment of the recording because the droid was nearly destroyed.
He was way too messed up. His eardrums melted, his eyes were scorched, almost all of his skin was synthetic, it was the works. The helmet helped him see and hear, and was part of his respiratory system
@@TYKZY.BRANX._TEEK.SEE.BRANCH. Well yeah, but to add to that she died on losing hope which makes it even worst. Since giving birth to twins that have midichlorians will reduce the host lifespan (Padme). And by giving up the will to live, is what cause her to die.
Well, this is pretty dumb. It doesn’t fit the rest of the story arc. Which is probably why it’s not in the movies. And I don’t mean Disney movies which don’t count either.
“You must destroy what he loved most.” - Darth Vader to Starkiller
In the end, even Vader could not destroy even a single woman who looked like Padme
Ironic, isnt it?

I still believe the theory that Palpatine drained her lifeforce and channeled it to save Vader, and that's why she died.

It’d be beautiful watching Heyden playing Vader/Anakin in a movie or a series based on comics! The story is very touching
The saddest story ever told.
Padme was right there was good in him it showed when he saved his son luke
Padme died of a broken heart.....which is a very real thing.
To bad we didn't get to see Sabe in the Star Wars Rebels show.
After that Palpatine punished and almost destroy him.
Vader's comics are awesome.

@@RetneysHolocron Why does Leia say she remembers her mother "Beautiful and Kind" if Padme died after giving birth?
@@msrainbowbrite Because she can see Padme through the Force. This is heavily implied in the canon book "The Princess and The Scoundrel."

Darth vader knew obi wan kenobi hid luke and leia but there was still good in darth vader
This doesn't make sense
If he had seen a recording the birth and death he would know he had TWO children, not one
The recording was only of her last words AFTER she gave birth. Vader didn’t see footage of either child!
@RetneysHolocron why would such a recording be taken and not invite everything that happened?
As stated in the video, the recording was from the damaged databanks of the midwife droid. Vader was only able to view that fragment of the recording because the droid was nearly destroyed.
@RetneysHolocron oh sorry missed the word damaged makes sense now
I don't know why he didn't just go for the Malgus breath mask?
He was way too messed up. His eardrums melted, his eyes were scorched, almost all of his skin was synthetic, it was the works. The helmet helped him see and hear, and was part of his respiratory system

Anakin didn't kill her, but he was led to believe that.
