Amazfit fitted the Band 7 with its BioTracker 3.0 PPG biometric sensor. Put simply, PPG sensors use low infrared light to measure how much light is absorbed by blood vessels. This provides constant measurement of heart rate & blood oxygen levels (SpO2).

Regarding your problem setting up the Chinese version of the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro in the US, I've found the following elsewhere - 'you must change the region to China. Not the smartphone but the Mi Fitness or Zepp Life' 'I can confirm that changing the region in Mi Fitness app will allow you to connect to the Mi Band 7 pro. When I changed the region to China, I had to hit accept (or something in Chinese) on the band after scanning the band's QR code into the app to get it to fully sync. It did a firmware update and changed the language to English after it finished syncing and updating. I haven't tried changing the region in the Zepp Life app yet (which is the app that I prefer), but at least now I can sync the watch with something.'

Thank you again! I decide for Amazfit because it's monitoring the heart all the time. Only worry to me that in my country it's not very popular so if i want to do a band replacement it seems difficult.
Amazfit is really growing within the fitness band space so hopefully that won't be a problem I'm the future

I would like to track my steps at work but can’t wear watches or jewelry. Does either of these offer a stealth/silent mode so that if I have it hidden on my body it doesn’t light up or make noises?

Mi fitness app for some reason uses a lot less battery on the band. Zepp life the band battery drains a lot faster.

My concern with smartbands are will they detect the distance ran, calories burnt and other features without a smartphone? Because I don't like to take my phone with me while running, so how smart is a smartband without a phone? Thanks in advance
If you are looking to do anything without your phone and have it be accurate you would need a built in GPS. Typically the less expensive bands will also not have the most accurate GPS on board

Yes you can. And yeah it's pretty much like a gif but you can't customize them

Stupidly from Xiaomi, Zepp was Mi app. They ditch it and made the current Mi app. Which made a lot of people disappointed.
Between AmazFit Band 7 and Amazfit Bip U Pro which one would be better if GPS funtion is not of concern? Could both be used as standalone (meaning I don't want to download the fitness data to my phone)?
They can be used as standalone. The Bip U Pro has a better heart rate sensor so it's going to be more accurate. You can also get the Bip U without the Pro and save 10$. Why aren't you looking to connect it to your phone?

That is my fault. I think I was assuming it was that BIP 3. Yes the Bip U does have the older heart rate monitor

How is the music control can you fast forum rewind songs and like them
After release it did get music control. The basic stuff like skip track, go back, and pause

I don't think you're going to see much of a difference between the two for swimming

A combo of a gyroscope and an accelerometer. So it can recognize moment in space and rotation. Hopefully that is helpful

Try and Google 6 axis sensor in a smart watch. That might help with the language barrier

I am sorry I am not sure what sportif is. Neither band is able to connect a third party heart rate monitor that I am aware about sadly

So it's a virtual pacer. It's basically uses your older run as a way for you to keep pace with it. So you know if you need to go faster to beat that time. The Mi Band is a bit more accurate on the heart rate though. Glad you're joining in from Italy.

Whenever you get the chance, please make a comparison video of Xiaomi Band 7 and Xiaomi Band 7 Pro. Apart from GPS, Auto brightness and a relatively bigger screen, I want to see what else I am missing by having bought a Xiaomi Band 7.
That definitely is my plan. I was going to wait on the US version of the App to Update to allow the Band 7 Pro to connect. But i might just change my location so I can do it.

From my understanding the manufacturer is Huami and both Amazfit and Xiaomi use their products

My mi band 7 battery 🔋 everyday charge I bought it now two weeks... but the battery 🔋🔋 it can't last 1day am disappointed
It only lasts one day? You might have a defective unit. I would try and contact the manufacturer

Terrible idea to get the band bigger. If i want bigger, i will get a smart watches.
I wouldn't say terrible. I usually have a bit of trouble reading my pace time while running on a smaller screen

Make sure you have all of your permissions in line so your phone will allow it. I'm assuming you are running an up to date Android device right?

You might have to move it over to the Mi Fitness App. That's the one I used. If you're still having problems I would say to contact Mi Fitness and see what they have to say
