Thanks for the review. I used it to choose which one to buy myself. I chose the 7 pro and it looks as if nobody is talking about the biggest "hidden issue" with it and that is- it doesn't save any tracking data (steps/sleep..) for longer than 24h. I used to have a band 4. I would sync data with the app once a week and everything was safe and data got transfered. With 7 pro, in case you don't sync your band with the app before midnight each day, the data is gone. Even if you sync it in the day but forget to sync once again before midnight, only the part will be transferred that you synced in the day.
So frustrating!!! How is something like that still being sold and promoted? 😢
This is weird - I had days when it was not connected at all and data was there.
Does the NFC version have door access features like the old versions before?
It would be better to have a regular Mi Band 7 with a GPS built-in...

Well, vibration is quite good. And you can configure the intensity as far as I remember.
I rely on it for alarm in the morning - never failed me.

I wish that people comparing these two were more direct in setting apart the differences like ok its nice to compare them as if they were 2 different products on the same category but since its the same brand use case and more or less model it is also nice to tell why the pro exists over the "regular" so is it just the gps and the screen? or are there other differences too ?
These devices are very different. One is made by Huami, the other one - by 70 Mai

Is the 7th regular one more accurate than Mi Band 5 measurement wise? Like heart rate and sleep tracking.
Yes, the sensors are a bit more advanced, but do not expect huge difference
I have a band 5 so I’m kinda thinking of upgrading but I have an Apple Watch and a galaxy watch but I just can’t resist spending money on tech lol.

@@GrilledChickenRamyun I upgraded from 4 to 7. Bluetooth version is much better - so it used less battery juice of my phone. Plus the bigger screen is really nice 👍

@Tech4All Can you answer me? So I am interested in sleep tracking between those two. To be exact I wanna know what those two show in the sleep when you click on it with your finger. In times 5:05 vs 7:08. From what i saw in the video, the PRO just shows sleep length but normal 7 shows even sleep stages? Is there more? Can you check sleep stages midnight? Can you send any screenshots?

I'm still getting the xiaomi smartband 7 pro very soon upgrade from my two year old xiaomi smartband 6 so my huge upgrade for me
Could you explain why you not getting the mi band 7? I don't know which on to choose, and the only upgrade is the GPS for mi band 7?! The price difference is a lot.
@@clarafernandes5868 the only difference is the 7 pro is the auto-brightness which is not available on the regular model and of course rectangular shape display because i have a biggest problem on the pill shaped is very hard to read the text and of course built-in gps and larger battery at 235mah (depending on the usage) and alexa support but only available in select markets

It's notorious that this watch does not sync with the new MI fitness app. Manual sync is needed, otherwise no steps or activity is ever recorded. Please, don't buy it unless it's confirmed that the watch syncs with the app, everybody is waiting on an update for many months now. Awful support.
Sounds like there is some software issue. You mean the Mi Fitness app? I've had zero issues on my end.

Quite the opposite. Everybody is talking about that. At least on reddit and forums. UA-camrs don't test them enough to realize this. They just get them and they don't care cause they won't use it anyway. Or they are payed to talk only good stuff about it..
Anyway , the only way to resolve this is to use the automated event trick with some apps. I tried with a couple of apps and I'm not sure which one actually worked at the end, but the idea is to force automatically the phone to go in the app and refresh like 10 minutes before midnight in order to get the data from the whole day.
It's not very hard , but it's not easy either - you have to be a little into tech stuff and have patience. Read about how these timed event apps work and maybe even a tutorial for this particular thing. I don't remember exactly how I did it.
The apps are called IFTTT and MacroDroid and Automate

My kid just lost his Smart Band 7 in the sea while swimming. We spent a good hour looking for it, but it's gone for good. That strap is useless.

Not at all. Sounds like it measured the pulse wrongly.

You have to link the Alexa account in the app. Only some regions are supported.
Fit bands are not smartphones. Why they're making it big YoY. Defeats the purpose of being a fit band.

As far as I remember, there is no integration in the Mi Fitness app yet
i love the features of the pro, but it looks like a cheap apple watch knock-off, which is too embarrassing. i would rather have a slightly wider band 7 with the added features, that still looks like a fitness tracker.

Mi band 7 pro is one useless gadget. I have owned Mi3 for 3years and everything still works. The 7pro touch has been affected after showering with it for some days. It now has ghost touches, boring despite seeing no water traces inside the screen.

It is waterproof, but strongly recommended to avoid hot water.
