As a Gen X'er, I am so proud of the younger generations taking control of their futures and not being beholden to the company line. Lynette made sure she could financially do it and that's fantastic.
What would be a HUGE help, and this is my opinion only, would be if healthcare wasn't tied to our jobs. The possibilities for citizens without that heavy burden needs to be explored instead of being dismissed as "socialism".

You're going to be fine. I quit my job 4 years ago with a child. Listen, God is REAL and He was there always have been way before Amazon so your job is not even your source of living. At least you checked your finances, you had time to have fears. I was numb yet never ever been more certain that I can no longer work for the bank. My story is similar to yours, toxic work environment, just learning about my job and how the bank operates challenged me morally and ethically and religiously so I chose my faith. I chose God and my life hasn't been so blessed. From that decision I learned and saw God being God in every aspect in my life. He even opened a door I never imagined, I traveled abroad for the first time, all expenses paid, nice hotels, in and out board rooms mingling with important people in spaces I never ever imagined I would, never even dreamed actually but God is God and you will be where He wants you to be. God is so big He can do anything. If I never quit my job for the reasons I did, I would have never known there are doors God can open we know nothing about.
You will be fine. Enjoy your new journey!

I actually made a video on it too. I think your videos helped me accept that life isn’t all about the work grind, which is ironic because I was employed as a Career Coach for the last 10 years. Career and life is much more then a compilation of actions and accomplishments at work. And burnout is particularly a challenge if your in an organization or department that doesn't align with your values anymore (which seemed to be your and many other people's case). I've had to listen to so many conversations where people say "ah, get over it", "be an adult and take on responsibility". BUT honestly, the moment I quit the jobs which didn't align with my values and said NO to situations/people, my life started to change. Thanks for your transparency. I quit around the same time due to similar reasons. I refuse to continue putting energy into someone else’s dream when I can contribute the same energy into self employment. The stress and anxiety associated with corporate America is ridiculous. Self perseverance, self discovery, positive experiences, self care, and mental health maintenance are key. Congratulations on your new found freedom 💕

I love this! One of the best quotes I’ve learned through my entrepreneurial journey is to never take advice from someone who isn’t where you want to be. You were smart not to tell anyone that you quit!

I just found your content after weeks of meditating and crying asking my spirit guides and source to send me knowledge that is going to inspire me to create. I get paralyzed with fear of not being smart enough or I get overwhelmed very easily and that stops me from moving forwards with my dreams. I have a little one and do NOT want to pass this on to him, I want him to be proud of his mommy for going after her dreams. Yours videos resonate incredibly, I'm very spiritual, I have so much knowledge on holistic healing and beauty, I got to say tech scares me, I've never been savvy at it. Any-who I'm so grateful I found your content. Thank you for being you Lynette.

Another option that may be helpful is to find a temp job that would interest you that’s not intensive. This would allow you to continue making content while still having a paycheck from a job you’re not committed to long-term - which will also give you space to continue to work on yourself and what you wanna try next! Just a thought!

    • @asadb1990

what you are referring to are either very temp and stress you out looking for next pay or a steady low pay mindless job that the bosses still require full attention and effort.

@@asadb1990 I see the point you’re making and that’s one way to look at it. But speaking from the perspective of my own experience, there are recruiters out there who will help in keeping you within temp jobs only if that’s your preference, you just need to be transparent with them. Let them know you’d like to start interviewing once the contract is coming to an end. Not all companies are looking to expand head count permanently especially for short-term projects. Also, of course any job requires focus and attention, and you’d still need to follow an interest/strength which will allow you to perform naturally. That’s why I mentioned she temp to try different things of interest, which can help broaden her experience and bring clarity to her vision.

@@tanyalasagna_ i get your way. but in my experience even for temp jobs they want highly experienced folks who are desparate for work. and if you lack the desparation to work like a dog, they will end your months long contract in a few weeks. i have been hired a few times in the past where i was let go soon after and excuse was "i lack the urgency and drive". i worked my ass off. but i never ran to finish work early because that just meant more work. as far as recruiters are concerned they have all mostly been a waste of time. they would pitch me for jobs but after interviewing it was clear client wanted someone highly experienced for little pay. and that level experience only came at desparation

@@asadb1990 sorry to hear you’ve had such a bad experience. I can see why you feel the way you do. But not all experiences will be bad, it’s worth trying if it helps to move closer to the greater goal/vision.
