John Mackey is the original CEO of Whole Foods Markets, which he founded in 1980 and has parented to Fortune 500 status, employing over 90,000 people across 450+ stores in the US, Canada, and the UK. Mackey is the co-founder of the Conscious Capitalism Movement and co-authored the NYT and WSJ best-sellers Conscious Capitalism and Conscious Leadership, which encourage businesses and leaders to be grounded in principles of ethical consciousness.

It’s inspiring to know that you can be a business owner and still be moral and help everyone win!
This is such a contrast to Andrew Carnegie who paints the picture in his books that there has to be an antagonistic relationship between business owners and employees.

i have read and i believe that at least some businesses hire and promote sociopaths if not psychopaths to leadership positions. this results in adversarial corporate culture. don't get me wrong, i am pro capitalism but i think some corporate culture is win/lose and toxic for this reason.
I try not to put out negative or positive ripples. Competition vs. Cooperation. Win win.
