I’ve played both pretty heavily and obviously fighterz generally looks better. You could make a whole db anime in the style of fighterz and it would look pretty damn good. ArcSys just crushes it when it comes to making anime games and the anime aesthetic when animating 3d models. That being said, there are some things that sparking zero does that just look really freaking cool, the lighting effects around ki attacks in particular. I never get sick of how ults look because they just look/feel epic.
Sparking zero is the best dragon ball game ever made, but holy shit fighterz blows it out of the water in terms of looks, Sparking zero looks like a knock off sometimes lol.
I think DBFZ has more anime accurate models, however, I’m willing to bet most of that comes from camera manipulation and distorting of said models to achieve the very anime look. Sparking! Zero absolutely blows FighterZ out of the water when it comes to the lighting and effects which makes it more visually stunning. Both look great but if I had to pick which was better I’d go with Sparking Zero. Sure it’s not as close to the source material as FighterZ with its characters but it’s close enough while adding a lot of additional flare to make up for it. It also manages to do this while being a proper 3D arena fighting game unlike FighterZ which is 2.5D
Both are amazing in their own right. Sparking Zero has better coloring (for the most part) and effects in my opinion. The animation is also a bit more fluid. That being said, FighterZ definitely utilizes its models and camera much better than Sparking Zero. Dragon Ball anatomy doesn't match realistic anatomy, which is why some 3D Dragon Ball games can look really off. Sparking Zero sometimes suffers this issue too. FighterZ doesn't suffer from this thanks to ArcSys contorting the models of each character during certain dynamic shots in order to replicate actual Dragon Ball anatomy.
Fighterz looks good and accurate to anime because it’s animated from only the camera side and uses camera tricks and cuts to appeal the players. Sparking zero is pure 3d and doesn’t use any camera tricks, everything happens in real time which is more difficult to pull off.
Theyre both very good, but Fighterz obviously has a level of hand crafted love that Sparking Zero struggles to reach with the dev team's inexperience and limited capacity. What is ultimately impressive is BT4 is almost as good despite having so many characters. Though Fighterz did have a much larger roster over time!
Yes cutscenes is one thing but the gameplay in sparking is by far superior. Literally all the transformations and ultimate u see in sparking can be done when u want, fighters z just have looks 😭😭
Nah FighterZ is a proper fighting game and is much better. They're different types of games and they show that in how they play, Sparking has no obligation to be balanced at all while FighterZ tries to balance out the cast so one character isn't too outshined by another
@@rytz5053 2d fighters such as FighterZ are inherently superior due to more superior controls, combos and less braindead gameplay like sparking zero lol

I think the teen gohan super saiyan 2 transformation is really good in sparking zero. I do wish it had the tears like in fighterZ. But for fighterZ its supposed to be recreating that iconic moment so its supposed to be Gohan's first time turning ssj2. In sparking zero him transforming isn't the first time.
Ok fighterz animations are clearly better on a detail level. Sparking zero is a bit more compelling though, cuz there’s so many more characters and most look pretty good. (When is fighterz getting another dlc 😭🙏)
I adore how fightersz looks like totally, and even tho sparking is not at the same level I preffer sparking gameplay, abilities are also better on sparking in my opinion, since fighters stays accurate to the source material, and sparking makes it a bit faster for Gameplay reasons but I can't really compare them really, love both, except fighters gameplay, I don't like fighting gameplay
Fighter Z fans gotta be some of the saltiest DB game fans I've ever seen. One even made a whole rant video on why they hate Sparking Zero 😂 which they took down. Fighter Z is a great game, and the cutscenes are pretty incredible. But when it comes to combat and truly capturing the DB fighting experience, 3D arena games will always do it best. Dbfz for me takes it all but not by far. But the combo system in dbfz is so much better. Like every character has different combo. In SZ its like combo then dash. It feels the same on every character.
@@gokusolos648even the cut scenes look better for example trunks vs Zamasu. Gohan father son Kamehameha vs cell, so forth and the ingame models and animations in fighterZ still look miles better
Everything shown in fighterz is either a dramatic finish or an intro, sparking zero takes it not cause of the looks but that everything is actually in game
I’ve noticed that a lot of transformations in sparking are cut. Like one frame their base and then when they transform it just cuts into their transformation without actually showing the transformation. Looks off putting
They re-used the gogeta fusion animation for characters it doesn't make sense with. Most seen with Gotenks and ss4 Gogeta in this direct comparison. Disappointing to see from sparking zero.
I think some of the visual choices in FighterZ strike in a way that Sparking Zero doesn't. On the other hand I also kind of dislike the way Sparking Zero characters in cutscenes are so wobbly. I would assume it's because of mocap or something. But I think that kind of movement looks bizarre on character designs and models that are so stylized in this way.
DBFZ is an actual competitive fighting game with way better animation. Sparking Zero is a casual fighting game, way easier to pick up and “master”. The animation isn’t as good but still very good.
Some of y'all got to remember, fighterz is a 2.5D game and sparking zero is a fully 3D game, so obviously they can't recreate them nearly 1:1 as fighterz can.
@@aydengardner48 because i help Made a game before Both using cutscene but fighterZ use different model just for the cinematic cutscene , they usually stretch certain part of the model to look good with camera tricks. But that doesn't mean It's impossible In short They still could do it like fightrZ but to look good and improve cutscene quality = cost more money and time But their budget gone into focusing the "combat" instead of "cutscene". 182 characters with different skills and moveset ain't cheap
I will say while most of Fighterz actual animation is better, Sparking’s colors and effects are vastly superior like just compare the Goku Blues for example and see how pale Goku is in Fighterz….

only realized today sparking zero has Super Gogeta from Z and then Gogeta(super) with his base,ssj1 and blue forms. i love them both, best fusion ever
I'll take sparking zero since you can transform during battle

When it comes to the animations, Fighterz is just next level amazing. Can't give hate to Sparking zero though, cause the game is awsome, amd the animations is still great.
Both look incredible
i love how they pushed the expression a little further for gogeta blue in that explosion attack in SZ

FighterZ > Sparking! Zero
Sparking zero >>> FighterZ* ☠️☠️☠️

@@bryanclarke8107 “real fighting games” lamo yall nerds rather play this mk/tekken game but db besides that is dead asf already and xv2 is lowkey just better simply cause of the dlc if you think fighterz is better than sparking zero in everything you clearly never play a single BT game in yo life 😂😂😭
@@bryanclarke8107 I'm sorry, but Sparking Zero is by far more fun, I played FighterZ and it's very pretty, but it quickly gets quite boring with the game having 14 characters and Goku Base as DLC
Always gonna prefer FighterZ. The game's anime art style adds a lot of impact to these sequence and it's amazing.
Both are excellent But SZ got it though.
Budokai Tenkaichi fanboys can’t accept FighterZ is better as a whole, sparking zero is also very incomplete
I like the limited framerate animation of fighterz way more, i feel like SZ is missing a lot of exaggeration from fighterz, it feels like one of those VR chat DBZ skits for some moves
DBFZ looks better EVERY TIME.
DBSZ looks better than a tekken ripoff
@@booxcr by your logic, every fighting games are tekken ripoffs
Two of the best Dragon Ball games in recent years
Seeing these side by side makes you really appreciate Fighter Z and all the love and care that went into the animating it.
Fighterz looks good and accurate to anime because it’s animated from only the camera side and uses camera tricks and cuts to appeal the players. Sparking zero is pure 3d and doesn’t use any camera tricks, everything happens in real time which is more difficult to pull off.
The process of making these flexible models without making them look weird is way harder than you think
Damn the Stardust breaker is so strong it switch the clips
Theyre both very good, but Fighterz obviously has a level of hand crafted love that Sparking Zero struggles to reach with the dev team's inexperience and limited capacity.
What is ultimately impressive is BT4 is almost as good despite having so many characters. Though Fighterz did have a much larger roster over time!
Both games are phenomenal.
Anime games should look 100% accurate to the anime
type shi
Yes cutscenes is one thing but the gameplay in sparking is by far superior. Literally all the transformations and ultimate u see in sparking can be done when u want, fighters z just have looks 😭😭
Fighterz gameplay is much better lol. Sparking Zero is just a standard arena fighter, albeit pretty junky and buggy
@@Don-fw3nv just say didnt play sparking is way better
@@Don-fw3nv figtherz is just another 2d fighter nothing speciam
Nah FighterZ is a proper fighting game and is much better. They're different types of games and they show that in how they play, Sparking has no obligation to be balanced at all while FighterZ tries to balance out the cast so one character isn't too outshined by another
@@rytz5053 2d fighters such as FighterZ are inherently superior due to more superior controls, combos and less braindead gameplay like sparking zero lol
look I'm going to summarize it for you FighterZ looks better on some and SparkingZero looks better on others but FighterZ is like someone's profile picture that shows their profile and their pretty side while SparkingZero sees that person face to face because it is done in all angles and is very beautiful considering that difficulty
Cinema vs video game
DBFZ IS CINEMA
Thank you for your content bro. Youre clean with it
I think the teen gohan super saiyan 2 transformation is really good in sparking zero. I do wish it had the tears like in fighterZ. But for fighterZ its supposed to be recreating that iconic moment so its supposed to be Gohan's first time turning ssj2. In sparking zero him transforming isn't the first time.
Both games should do a fusion, Zero has better gameplay, FighterZ has better realism and cutscenes.
Ok fighterz animations are clearly better on a detail level. Sparking zero is a bit more compelling though, cuz there’s so many more characters and most look pretty good.
(When is fighterz getting another dlc 😭🙏)
More characters = Better ?
OK sure, the unbalanced nature of the game is part of its appeal
With a few exceptions FighterZ looks better overall. Its animations are way more expressive
they fucked it up with the camera, what the hell did they smoke in sparkin zero
Sending an opponent 3 meters away after a full power Big Bang Kamehameha just ain't DB, I'm sorry. It's a great fighting game, but Sparking Zero has that DB spark to it imo.

goku blue fighter z ? no man no.. i can't never be agree with that , bro look at goku is not even good and the animation is not near of sz , i don't know why fz is so overrated like this
@@TresorMbimbeFighterZ looks like a 1st time transformation. Sparking looks like he’s use to it by now. FighterZ looks more like the source material not to mention the white and blue aura is a good touch. I believe most 1st time transformations have bigger auras and that’s all the more reason I believe FighersZ got it right. Obviously you’re entitled to your opinion. I’m just sayin
while sparking zero is VERY flashy and sometimes quite pretty to look at it is also incredibly inconsistent imo
some of the cutscenes i've seen made the game look janky and weird (weird jiggly movements and awkwards animations)
I think fighterz stylised look is better in a "style over detail" kind of way if graphics were to improve sparking zero would lag behind while fighterz would still stay relevant thanks to its consistent and pleasant style
Dbfz for me takes it all but not by far. But the combo system in dbfz is so much better. Like every character has different combo. In SZ its like combo then dash. It feels the same on every character.
Fighterz absolutely demolishes
mostly unfair comparisons but ok lil bro

Sparkling zero had better gfx than fighterZ but fighterZ looked more like the anime
i think fz having less frames also makes it look a bit better in some odd way. but i give it to sz all the way.
Sparkling zero looks more smoother
Fighters is truly a beautiful game
Everything shown in fighterz is either a dramatic finish or an intro, sparking zero takes it not cause of the looks but that everything is actually in game
Level 3 supers too.. and that's still a part of the gameplay..
I’ve noticed that a lot of transformations in sparking are cut. Like one frame their base and then when they transform it just cuts into their transformation without actually showing the transformation. Looks off putting
Who tf cares about a singular frame 💀
They re-used the gogeta fusion animation for characters it doesn't make sense with. Most seen with Gotenks and ss4 Gogeta in this direct comparison. Disappointing to see from sparking zero.
Some of the Fighterz transformations and fusions are insanely good and detailed actually
We can't fuse on fighterpoop 😂😂😂 sorry
I think some of the visual choices in FighterZ strike in a way that Sparking Zero doesn't. On the other hand I also kind of dislike the way Sparking Zero characters in cutscenes are so wobbly. I would assume it's because of mocap or something. But I think that kind of movement looks bizarre on character designs and models that are so stylized in this way.

It's not fair to compare any studio to arcsys when it comes to 3D animation in fighting games, they are on a league of their own.
2D cartoon vs Actual Game.
DBFZ is an actual competitive fighting game with way better animation.
Sparking Zero is a casual fighting game, way easier to pick up and “master”. The animation isn’t as good but still very good.
DBFZ is still picture animations while DBSZ is peak

Both using cutscene
but fighterZ use different model just for the cinematic cutscene , they usually stretch certain part of the model to look good with camera tricks. That's why when u see it on a different angle it looks hella weird
While sparking zero use its combat model in cutscene thus limiting the developer to made a good cutscene. But that doesn't mean It's impossible
In short
They still could do it like fightrZ but to look good and improve cutscene quality = cost more money and time
But their budget gone into focusing the "combat" instead of "cutscene". 182 characters with different skills and moveset ain't cheap

tbh fighters kinda uses the comic artstyle which fits better then sz no hate
kale head in sparking zero is so fcking big
I will say while most of Fighterz actual animation is better, Sparking’s colors and effects are vastly superior like just compare the Goku Blues for example and see how pale Goku is in Fighterz….
i think this is intentional, they drew goku in fighterz a lot closer to how he looks when he first transforms
Saved by the Broly fight, Dragon Ball Super looks so ridiculous
I LOVE SPARKING ZERO

FighterZ's animation is waayyyy better
fighterz is more cinematographic

FighterZ isn't even the best Arcsys game, Guilty Gear is the real deal.
And after so many years, FighterZ still is the most beautiful Dragon ball game

Well,
Both Games are Good in Their own respective ways
but
Some Animations for Both Games are missing such as when SS2 Gohan (Youth) does The Father-Son Kamehameha
and
Cell was doing Solar Kamehameha then before Cell was able to finish Gohan off Vegeta there a Ki Blast at Cell in order to distract him (Cell) then Gohan took Cell out
100% FighterZ
FighterZ wins on all accounts. This feels the most like you’re playing the anime.
Yeah, if the anime took place on a flat piece of paper, didn’t ever have beam struggles and characters never transformed during battle.
@@TheSCPStudioIt does take place on a flat piece of paper, it's called 2D animation...
