While walking my son’s dog at a park in Florida I met a lady with two tiny Japanese chin dogs. Both were service dogs trained to detect blood sugar issues for their diabetic owner. They saved her life many times. Dogs are the most amazing creatures.
I didn't know that.
Just learned something.
And yes, dogs are the most amazing creatures.
Every dog has a Will to protect their families and any dog can be a service dog, regardless of reputation and prejudice

The thought of kicking strangers in the grocery stores never occurred to me when I was 14 nor will ever happen when I’m 80 lol
I have never struck anyone except in self-defense, however the thought has occurred to me a few times.
Only by the grace of Gracious Great God.
I’d seriously be too busy looking at the cute dog
I dont go around kicking people, they might kick back or make me a 12-gauge problem.
Verbal is better 1st amendment
“If she was kicked, she’d probably be in court pushing for the death penalty.” It’s funny. I was thinking the exact same thing
Can I say how proud I am of this officer for knowing the ADA laws, and that service dogs don't have to wear a vest? However, there is no registration for a service dog. Fake ones are sold online so people can have their misbehaving dogs in apartments or bring them into stores. Many service dogs have been attacked by these untrained fakes and that's a real problem. Real service dogs have to go through extensive training and don't misbehave.
This case was dismissed. Do the follow-up the dog was not a service dog it jumped up on the woman
@@user-oi8lv3xk4r Still, she had no right to ask the guy for proof (even the store can't)... and she kicked a guy. So even if the guy didn't have a service dog, everything was justified.
And about 80 percent of animals who start training for being a service animal don’t graduate from the training
The majority or dogs chosen to go through the training process don’t compete it
@@user-oi8lv3xk4r this is why I think that service animals should be registered for doctors and for the state and maybe small businesses but it’s not the lady’s business
Even if it wasn't a service dog, you still can't kick a person

yeah,if she had a problem, she should´ve rather informed a store clerk on informations or whetever that "someone is here with a dog while the rules exclude those from these places,go check on him." but since she is a karen, that would take control off her hands...and they do love to control their vicinity so much
She would have thought herself the victim if she got hit back. That's how some people are and they suck for it.
You can. Not saying it won't backfire 😂

That policeman is the Finest.
Yeah, I just wish he would've described it to her a little better.
✖️ What he said: "you're not allowed to demand an ID from a disabled person".
✔️What he should've said: "You're not allowed to demand an ID from a disabled person _AND_ assault him when he refuses to give it to you".
It wasn't the "asking for ID" that got her arrested. It was the physical assault. The officer should've made that clear. She wouldn't be arrested if she'd asked for his disability ID, and walked away when he refused to give it to her.
Referring to a single woman is spelled “woman” not “women”.
Kind of like talking to your grandma with dementia....
Not all disabilities are visible. Lock her up.

@nancyramirez4146, my friend is a brittle type I diabetic. Her dog is also a lifesaver and doesn't wear a vest. He even alerted a total stranger to check her blood sugar level.
My father's service dog alert on his glucose level as well as leaks from his insulin pump and also works as a stablity partner. @@sharonpeterson896I'm curious about that one -- how did the service did accomplish that?? (Alert a stranger to check her BG)
Her arrest was the right thing. I have a service dog for many medical issues. 99% of the time, he wears gear that helps me balance and states that he’s a service dog. However with the really bad heat this summer, I would only put a sign on his leash, telling people he’s a service dog.
Just a few days ago, I saw a dude with a Pomeranian in the grocery store. Do I think it was a service animal? Nope, but I didn't confront him because it's NOT MY PLACE. The sense of entitlement that this woman has is simply incredible, truly a Karen among Karens.
I 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 at a supermarket and I know better than to question service dogs.
@@capnlatenight5356 Likewise. Makes no sense why someone would cause a scene and/or delay the other person's shopping when they can be done and gone in less half the time of a pointless, headache-inducing argument.
Some people just have the compulsive need to control others and "put them in their place".
The only time I can remember being upset about a dog in a public space was when I was in food service and people would bring their untrained dogs in that would bark or stand in the aisle pawing at and begging other tables for food.
I see a lot of dogs I don't think are actually service animals..and I keep my mouth shut, the dog isn't causing any issues so why should I care

She asked if we could show any kind of proof so I showed a picture of Cody with his jacket on, and she kindly wished us a great day.
Don’t give up on humanity, the good ones still exist. 👑❤️
Although that lady was nice, there's no proof you need to show. There's no formal license or registration for a service dog because service dogs can be self trained. All they're allowed to ask is:

2. What services do they provide for you?

@@beatnik6806no woman can just kick a service dog and not get in trouble, her attitude has nothing to do with being a woman. She just has a bad attitude and a very massive ego, and clearly hasnt been told right and wrong.
I have combat related PTSD and I have a service dog that works with me to distract and calm me down. My dog is my lifeline, she's my best friend and she really helps keep me grounded. If I ever have to go anywhere without her I'm a nervous wreck and I literally fall to pieces, it becomes hard to really focus on anything save a sense of being overwhelmed by literally everything that exists. It's really hard to explain, but she gets it. She pulls me back constantly to the now with nose pokes, setting her head on my knee, asking for pets and leans against my leg. She gets me even when people I'm closed to don't get it.
I have often been asked by people why I need her, as I don't outwardly seem like I would need her. I'm not blind, I don't have any issue that presents itself physically unless I have an "episode". I've had people question her legitimacy before, ask to pet her, try and distract her while we're in a store, and the like. Some people talk about how scared they are of dogs (which I understand, not everyone likes them) rather loudly to draw attention to us. I think they don't realize that I'm actually just as distrustful and scared of them as they are of my service animal. Oddly though, I have never once had someone come up to me and demand that I prove that she is in fact a service dog by producing evidence. Most stores that we visit just give us space and go about their way. I've always found that it's shoppers who care the most, not the store itself.
What I do around a service animal is at most, ask if I can 'meet' them if they are allowed. If not, they get a compliment on their training and care, best wishes, and I go on my way.
125? Give your moose a scratch for me. 🥰😁

I also have a service dog. Diagnosed PTSD. I’ve been through the same thing, having people demand so much information from me and even getting their CHILDREN to go up and pet her when she’s on duty. The worst part is, since my dog has the “Bubble Task”, where she keeps a personal space bubble around me, and the children end up crying and WE get the dirty looks when she barks at them to go away. I only go out when I need to or when I know I will not need to be hospitalized if I go out. The worst is when people take photos and videos of us in enclosed spaces (like the bus), and I don’t have anywhere to run off to or hide behind. I hate my appearance already and having people record me and my service dog is so humiliating. I use ASL when I can’t speak (can’t find my voice during panic attacks) so I can’t just “tell them to stop”, but goodness I WISH I could. Believe me, I’ve tried, but people just don’t LEAVE.

She's lucky that either the man didn't hit her back or the dog went ape shit and bit her, but of course she would cried foul and claimed that she didn't do a thing to cause the attack.
No, not "especially". Leave people alone, full stop.
I never knew my granma but I find that immeasurably preferable to having this creature as a grandmother.
As a counselor, I'd advise the police and everyone to not engage with these lunatics. Only tell them what you must, like, if you're a cop and need to tell them what to do. Getting into conversations with them is futile. You cannot argue with crazy, drunk or drugged up people. I am always amazed that people even try. In that way, you take charge. You should keep a distance from them, verbally, perhaps, even physically if the situation requires it. This situation is a perfect example of why not to engage them. He had to repeat himself over and over, and she STILL ranted on, asking the same things over and over. Once you've told someone something, and they do what she did, simply say to them, "I already answered that," or "I already told you" and stop responding to their demands for attention and control, for that is what all this is really about. That forces them to be quiet and rethink the last parts of the conversation and to find their own answers, to think for themselves. This could help them in the long run, and it will give you some peace while they do it or, perhaps, time to get away from them. Also, everyone should learn some sort of self defense,
Even if it was a fake service dog, it's still illegal to kick random strangers, last time I checked.

Luckily her peers would probably be quite sweet about it as my daughter is almost2 and which is more reason it’d be helpful to get an alert when she herself will be unable to communicate what is wrong and when

What is a gaslighter?
@@madelyndesalvo6323 someone who minimizes their behavior to manipulate you into thinking they've done nothing wrong and/or what you claimed happen didn't happen at all or the way you perceived it.
@@madelyndesalvo6323 Gaslighting is more than Ash's explanation.
"a person who uses psychological methods to manipulate someone into questioning their own sanity, memory, or powers of reasoning:
"if your partner tries to alter your memory or perception of events, you may be dating a gaslighter".
From the Cleveland Clinic:
"Gaslighting is a form of emotional abuse and mental manipulation that will leave you questioning your own reality and have you wondering if you’re in the wrong in nearly every argument.
In short, gaslighting happens when someone manipulates you into thinking your version of events didn’t happen the way you say they happened. They may gaslight you by questioning your authority, denying the evidence you have or doing everything they can to make you feel like you’re wrong.
Gaslighting gets its name from the 1938 British play Gas Light and its 1944 film adaptation Gaslight. Both focus on an abusive husband and his efforts to convince his wife she’s lost her mind."

Most Karens would think this lady is nuts. 😂
Okay, I totally think she needs to get a reality check for being a Karen but dang it when she said, "My mouth" ...that got me! 😂😂

@@clescell6587 no joke 🤣
As a 66 year old with bad knees and terrible balance, I’m impressed that she can kick so high! Too bad that dog didn’t go full Cujo on her. 😆
I did think that myself, that she is pretty spry for her age! Fulled by rage?
Service dogs aren’t guard dogs.
I worked with a blind associate who had a guide dog. Jim's problem was educating people, Midnight (a black Lab) was not pet. The dog was always welcome in restaurants any time we went out for special lunches.
Wait a sec, if this was in NY I knew the Karen, she got mad at me for holding challenges for a pair of AirPods I found for my friends because “I was filming children and that is CP”. She was an idiot.
Asking a cop what happens if you don't show up for court is a good way to not qualify for bail. You can sit in jail after arraignment and wait for your trial if you start making dumb threats like that.
That would be appropriate.
Me trying to imagine the second hand embarrassment family members of these “exposed Karen’s” feel when finding them online 😅
They could possibly be as horrible as her and think she is being wronged... Hopefully there is some kind of embarrassment because there needs to be

Whenever I see a dog in a store, I always assume it's a service dog. If it's not, it's not my problem unless the dog messes with me, which has never happened. This lady must be all kinds of bored lol
Exactly. Most times the dogs are more well behaved that the humans in the store
@@Truecrimeresearcher224 Yep and I taught my kids at a young age to not go up and pet those dogs, they are at work and they are not to be distracted or played with in this environment. Can't imagine who puts up with this lady in her private life, must be miserable lol
Yeah, the only time I questioned it was when the service dog in question pooped in a grocery store. But I only told an employee about the poop the handler left behind.
@@lisaj9799 Poor training like that is usually an enormous red flag that it's not actually a service dog, but someone's pet that they brought inside because they felt entitled to. If anyone deserves to be "Karen'd" out at, it's people who'd let their dog pee/poop inside a store and not do anything to clean it up, or even advise an employee about it.
@@thethrashyone I know that means it isn't a real service dog, but I'm not going to confront them. I will tell an employee about the mess and point out which dog did it.
The cop hit the nail on the head - "It's none of your business." One of the hallmarks of 21st century Karens is that they believe EVERYTHING is their business, and that they are the ultimate authority on everything.
Amen. Only had to deal with one just the other day. I suffer from seizers and she could see this from the coat my dog wears. She shut here mouth when I rebuked her for her madness.
Back in her day, they were called busybodies. People who just had to know everyone else's business. They seem to be increasing, exponentially.

Wow, I'm glad the store employee confirmed she was disorderly. So nice of her to admit, over and over, her assault. I do hope she learns from the sentence, but she won't. The judge may help educate her, and she will have a prior if she does it again.
She didn't just assault the man; what she did is called 'assault and battery', because she 'touched' (kicked) him unlawfully.
You're right, and people often don't understand the difference between the two.
Assault is merely the swing.
Battery is when the swing connects.

For people who really want to know, the reason you cannot ask about a service dog is because of HIPPA! It violates your right to HIPPA! it's the same as them asking you to PROVE your diagnosis. Have a nice day... and be nice to eachother!
It's just being a. Karen
In my job we've been advised that service dogs are not required to wear vests or have tags - by law all we can ask is "what is the dog trained for?" to discern between an actual service dog and a pet. I have seen every breed imaginable as a service dog. The typical labs are no longer the standard; in fact many shelter dogs are now being rescued and trained as service dogs. Unfortunately people can buy service dog vests on line for their pets to take them in restaurants and on planes, which is causing these questions about actual service dogs when the false ones misbehave. Actual service dogs go through special training and rarely misbehave. I hope this helps.
You’re totally correct but I think that service animals should be registered just to prevent fraud information for doctors and the state and maybe for small business owners but for this lady it’s not her business! What are your thoughts about this??
Maybe the vests should be registered instead of the animal?? That way you can tell by looking if it’s a service animal or a pet! Kind of like a handicap sticker for your car??
When I worked at Starbucks during the pandemic, I had to deal with so many anti-mask, saying the masks were a violation of their HIPPA rights. Smh...
