Hello I loved this video, Sir. I am currently working in the field of data analytics in a fashion company. However I want to start my own data analytics business and this an insightful video for that.
Great video, I’ve worked multiple internships in data analytics and data visualizations and I’ve recently felt that my new grad position feels like a dead end job. I want to return to a field that I truly enjoy and I’m hoping to do so with freelance data analytics consulting. Your advice has been extremely helpful to help me get started.
Doing data analytics as a side hustle is on the increase. Also, see if you can find a friend or cofounder and start a consultancy as a side hustle. It means between you and your partner you can cover more tasks.
Hi I'm just busy with work. I have just recorded some new videos and will publish them soon. Appreciate your comments, keeps me motivated to make more videos
Good info! Just getting started in the field. I really enjoyed the knowledge. I'm taking the Google Analytics Certification class right now. I plan to use this information to apply to my course work and a business plan project I've come across for a friend! Wish me luck. Keep putting out good content.
Good luck with the certification and applying it to your coursework. You will definitely see the benefit. Also, good luck with the business plan project, are you thinking of starting a business?
Very helpful videos.. just found this one and was curious about whether you start offering services for free and if charging the client, how is best to price the work?
As a general rule, never offer to work for free. It sets a bad example that the value of your work is worth zero. What is good to do is offer an exploration session where you can discover what their challenges and pain points are, and then use that information to provide a more accurate quote for the solution This would just be part of your new business activity, and do can offer an hour for free to explore in depth what their challenges are.
I will try and do a video on this, I've actually been speaking to quite a few people in the medical, clinical and healthcare field about how to use data and data science
Hey im looking for an entry level job as a data analyst. Im good at SQL, MS office and tableau, are these skills enough for me to get into this field and what else should i learn
Hi Yes, if you are good st SQL and Tableau, that is enough to get an entry level data analyst role. You probably should look to create a portfolio, especially with Tableau to show what you can do. There are lots of free data sets for Tableau. You can create a free account in Tableau.
Hie man... I am from Africa, Malawi specifically where most prospective clients rely much on foreign firms to do their work. How can I get this done here bro
Hi I've done a video on how to get clients so worth checking that out. I will send a link to it. But in essence, you need to create a compelling proposition as to why local clients should use you. There are many advantages to being local such as proximity, you can attend meetings in person. Time zone. You work same timezone as the client. Often cost, western companies are usually more expensive. Language, you speak the same language So, identify what you can offer beyond analytics to your local client. You may need to work on some smaller projects, to get some caee studies and build a reputation and networking. I talk about this in my video. You have to network and build a strong connection with prospective clients.
I’m still in college about 2 years left but I want to get my data analytics certificate. Do you think it’s possible to go to school full time and have a part time job in data analytics?
The easiest types of part time jobs for students would be anything that is repeatable. So jobs that require regular analysis. Examples include marketing campaign metrics, digital performance, loyalty programme performance. So, yes you can do a part time job in data analytics alongside your studies. Just make sure it is something that once you've learnt the data, subsequent analysis becomes more familiar if not easier. Good luck
great video loved it
Thank you
Thank you for your video, you have the advices I'm looking for.
