Very nice guide, I rly like your videos. May I ask you if you have ever tryed to replace scalding with cruxweaver armor and instead of using heroism pots, use DoT pots on the dummy? Seems like the more you beam the parse numbers goes higher, and skipping 1 gcd between each fatecarver might be better. Keep up the good work and happy holidays! ^^
In content this is a really popular option! I think I missed Cruxweaver in the flex skills which is a correction I'll make in the next update :)
By DOT pots do you mean poisons?
@@eigh1puppies Oh no, i meant the potions that damages you when you are using them, so cruxweaver can give you a crux. (the dummy can't hit you back but the pots will make cruxweaver armor work) The recipe is Cloud mist + Crimson Nirnroot + Fleshfly Larva + Nightshade, you can replace cloud mist with Lorkhan's tear but the dmg will be increased by 200 more. You also using the Sustain by Suffering red CP since this is a debuff and you need some sustain because you droping heroism pots, and in content the only downside is that it can be cleansed if you have a healer on purge or accidentally taking the purify synergy from templars ritual.

shadow silk actually use to be used when every dps used that one set that gave u major slayer (lokesties i think?) and was used on last boss of sunspire for portals for a added synergy
I use to run azureblight and plage together for xp runs an dungeons on my stam temp. That set up use to blow up everything just needed a mate with dark convergence to pull em all together and bang was good for sky reach runs 😂
Something that has confused me a lot between different class build guides is the orientation of the flame and poison enchants. Some classes we are supposed to have flame on the Nirnhoned dagger but for other classes we have it on the charged dagger. How is this choice made and what is the reasoning behind it? Great videos by the way. I'm sending every noobie can find your way.
It doesn't matter which weapon the glyph is on, it works the same. The only thing that does matter in regard to front bar weapon orientation is that the Nirn Dagger ends up on the Main Hand, and that the Charged Dagger ends up on the Off Hand!
On the back bar instead of camo hunter can't you run the debuff that applies brittle? Does switching back to your front bar not apply the buffs to your wall and rune from the back bar?
Two thoughts, if you’re going to replace any skill with Colorless Pool, it would be scalding. The big misconception about keeping camo Hunter on the backbar is based around the value of the skill itself. Truly, adding an extra dot to your backbar significantly decreases the amount of fatecarvers we can cast (a skill worth 40% of our damage) which is where the massive dps loss comes from.
Alternatively, brittle and minor vuln should always be provided by support whenever possible and should be run on an Arc DD only when necessary. If nobody’s providing it, it is usually worth slotting though.
Key takeaways: Only run it if you absolutely have to, and if you absolutely have to, replace scalding.

What’s the best gear combo without trial gear for pve with maybe partial pvp play, im running deadly strikes on my front bar and pillar of nirn on my body but I’m wondering if there’s a better body option without doing a trial or until I get there, thanks!
Switch your sets deadly on body and pon on front bar vma great sword or flame stuff on back. Velothi amulet and slimecraw helm or shoulder.
I’m not most knowledgeable for pvp, but deadly is a great set for both, and so is pillar tbh. That’s probably the best non trial setup you can do, but you’d likely wanna swap out pillar for a PvP set when you can
Do you use magicka or stamina recov (with weapon and spell dmgs) on your jewels ?

I really don't want to hunt down lorebooks😅 Would using anti-calvary caltrops instead of scalding rune be fine, even with the shorter 12 seconds duration? I would make it low priority and cast when possible in parse, or would you recommend using a different longer dot skill?
Caltrops is good! Degen is also good and you get it early in Mage's Guild!

@@eigh1puppies So I got my rotation down and am hitting 116k but struggling to line up off balance (exploiter) with ult, when exploiter is active, I am at 150ish ult, I'm light attacking but not sure if it may be registering perhaps.
Anyways to simplify, as you said, LA before book and after book (so LA cloak bar swap then just spam skills without any LAs then LA right before book and after?)

Sul xan, orders wrath is a good setup, so is sul xan mech acuity for earlier dungeons. Sul xan riptide is a solid setup as well.

Can I run pillar of nirn and deadly ? Or am I losing a lot of dps when I drop the minor slayer buff?
You lose a bit of damage for sure, if you can run a trial set you should!
Hi! Would you say exhausting fatecarver is better after the shield nerf of pragmatic? Kinda don't like that it costs more stamina
Exhausting has always been significantly more damage than Pragmatic. The damage difference is very underestimated. Prag is still gonna be fine for what it's used for, despite the shield being a little weaker!
@@eigh1puppies thanks, yeah +5k damage is good. But I feel like the 50% hp shield can save you a lot even in groups, with exhausting you need to know mechanics perfectly, not to start casting in a spot where aoe drops.
Thank you so much for this guide. My goal is to reach 115k on the dummy, and this has gotten me from 92k to 110k thus far. One thing that I cannot figure out is how to line up ultis with off-balance. I am using heroism potions, light attack 3 times per rotation (before each beam and before trap). Not sure where to go from there. Any thoughts or tips would be greatly appreciated…. Thanks again!
Let’s go!!! I’d try to light attack weave a bit more in general between your abilities as you can. They’re not to ignore just not to prioritize.
Outside of that, I’d have to see a clip, but if you follow the opening exactly, then drop your ult right at 175 (not 180) it should line up! This means you kind of have to plan some damage though, try not to go into a cast of beam when you at or above 167 ult.

I seem to be hovering around 110k, which is nice. I compared with some numbers between Ry’s parse, and mine. We both cast 4 ultimates and 17 beams. The difference, I believe, is that he generates 175 ultimes in about 45s, where as I generate the same in about 51s. I think that this results in me not being able to ulti and beam during off balance at the same time. I weave well over 1 time per 8 seconds. Maybe 3-4 times. How to generate 175 ultis in 6 seconds less?!?

I'm new to pve so I kinda get lost with my light attacks in this one. So I only cast LA before book then 1 skill after? Or I add LA's in between cephaliarch flails?
You’re never going to lose damage by light attack weaving well.
The premise, is that, you have to light attack once every 8 seconds to keep your ult genning. So if you to miss one at the wrong time, on a class with a 5.5 second channeled cast, you can set yourself up to lose ult by missing one before and after book casts.
So if you miss your la before book, you’re going to go about 6-7 seconds without hitting a light attack, which would run you the risk of stopping ult gen, so you’d want to get a la off right after the book.
This is clunky, and slows down your weaving a bit though, so if you don’t miss that light attack before the book, you’ve only gone 5-6 seconds since the last light attack by the time the channel ends, and now have the ability to skip the light attack after the book, and just weave it after the next skill cast, which ends up being a little smoother and quicker.
Does that help, or is that a poor explanation?
@@eigh1puppies It definetely helps! LA weaving is muscle memory at this point so if I don't put a LA between I got confused to a point to ruin the rotation. I guess I'll LA until I'm REALLY comfortable so I can skip couple without losing my focus. This video is really helpful and deep guide, keep up the amazing work mate!

so i have deadly strike on my daggers, staff, and jewelry, and pillar of nirn on my body, with slimecraw 2 piece (no mythics and limited trial gear) is that a good combo, or should i flip it? or would they be better with orders wrath on body instead
With no trial gear or vma staff I’d say what you have is probably your best bet!

The best Ive gotten is 79k without scalding rune and using nirn inferno on front bar (no maelstrom staff yet, so dw on back bar) cant seem to figure out why Im not parsing higher than my oakensorc😢
Edit: 01/14/24 - made staff gold, have purple blackrose cloak swords on back. Up to 91k.
Edit: 01/16/24 - 98.5k. Soo close! (Added soul trap to my bar) next made jewelry purple and upgraded its purple glyph to gold. FINALLY hit 101k dps 😭

If I use the Languid Eye ability on my backbar in ESO, but I have the Deadly Strike set only on my frontbar, do I miss out on the 15% damage bonus from Deadly Strike when I switch to my backbar? And can I still get the bonus by quickly switching back to my frontbar after casting the ability?
Your damage will scale bar to bar, so when you cast languid, it will get deadly's bonus while on your front bar!
This may be a dumb question but when parsing, is goal to beam every time eye is cast?
Not necessary but being on your front bar while languid is rolling is for sure helpful
I think the last 2.5 weeks or so i just recently started the game. Im currently cp 145 atm back to back queing cause i feel like im at such a shortage of skill points. My character is going to be a crafter too and that seems to eat all my points
Public Dungeon and 4 man Dungeon quests are the best and quickest way to get skill points fast!

Running 2x daggers for the crit chance, they will be the strongest option but feel free to run something different if you’d like!

I am leveling a StamArc and I don't know what weapons and skills to use while leveling. I have been told so many different things idk what to use. DW front bar and I've been told destro, bow, 2h for backbar. Any help would be great. I have never leveled a stam char and I don't have a ton of ESO experience. Thank you.
Daggers a front bar is great, tbh any backbar does well. Inferno backbar is the best but by a razor thin margin

Inferno is just better on Arc for a couple of reasons. Loading up our bar with DOTs on this class isn't super whorthwile because of our Fatecarver. The more things we cast, the less we can use that skill, and 2H is most worthwhile for Stampede + Carve. Wall is a little less overall dps than both those DOTs, but, factor number 2, is the Arc's damage with Status Effects. Wall gives us a really strong source of Burning where we might not have it otherwise, and those 2 components end up making Inferno a bit more preferable than 2H, though the damage difference is very small.
Would coral and ansuul be the best sets to run?
Not together, Riptide paired with Deadly is usually the go to in content
Flail, break your fingers two times, carver, hit your head on the table trice, flail, pre buff like you’ll never be able to during pve with well, stump your toe on the table. Easy overpowered right
I flail prebuff in content all the time what do you mean lmao. You should leave trash pulls with 3 crux. There are plenty of prebuffs you can do in content that you can’t do on the dummy, would you like some console or pc examples?
Why do we even try to think about the dummy as preparation or any kind of indication of content damage? Every fight in the game requires changes. The 21 mil is just a fight, unique like any encounter in content. Min max it.
In vse, you get locked in combat for easily 5 seconds after trash is dead. If you think I don’t flail prebuff there that’s just goofy XD

I love how Arcanist is almost the only class that has a free alchemy choice vs the rest. I mean here you can't play without inspired scholar (you need the crux and it is so strong) and you can run tri pots, pots that give you crit with something else and so on. I would say that there are various cool other potions ingame besides the wpn and spell power pots that more than 90% use because of their build and sometimes I wish ZOS would remove Major Sorc, Brut and just add it to the base of everyone and replace this with something else so more potions become viable. After I leveled up back in the day alchemy I realized oh there is just this 1 type of potion that is really popular (wpn + spell power pots) and the rest is not in demand much. It's kind of sad because this nerfs any alchemy recipe almost because of how needed wpn and spell power pots are. ZOS needs to check alchemy again and do something with it because in it's current state few recipes are utilized ingame.

what passives do i take for this build?
Realistically a good goal is to try to grab every passive in every tree that's used. Not every single one is necessary but 95% of them are important for certain situations in content

Some people suggest double charged but I still prefer nirn charged, so at this time, no changes.

Not at all, still will be meta and capable of maxing at around 130-131K. The Arc got a few stealth buffs since Necrom so this change just kind of brings it back down to what it originally was on launch imo.

Yeah typically Medium is best for Crit Damage and Light is best for Crit Chance, but once we are at that Crit Damage cap, Crit Chance is the next most important DPS stat to worry about, but by a relatively small margin typically!

How much dps loss if high elf with this build
You lose some Max Resources, so I'd guess 2-3K. Not much
I can’t get above 70k no matter how hard I try. I run 5 PoN, 5 deadly, velothi and masters perfected duel wield back bar. I actually get higher dps with oakensoul

I just got the game, been playing for a few minutes while watching this, I skipped a little bit here and there, it's pretty long, but I didnt see any mention of passives, I mightve skipped it, not sure, but do we take all passives, none? like I said I have only been playing for a few minutes so I am not exactly sure about how many points we get, maybe it becomes obvious as I play more, but I thought I might aswell ask in the meantime, maybe i'll get an answer before I figure it out myself :)
Passives are kind of the least relevant at a higher level imo, eventually you want almost all of the passives from skill trees you use anyway.

I like this build but I'm an AOE PVE'r. Stuff like this really puts me down since the game doesn't seem to favor AOE's over Single Target DPS. Highly disappointing so I wish they change this in the future and add more AOE capability when it comes to DPS.
I mean no disrespect in this statement, but I think that’s a really odd observation. The distinction between “aoe and st pve” plastyles is not something I’ve ever really heard of.
The reality is, the arc is favored in content as the meta for trifecta and scorepushing BECAUSE OF its aoe capability. It’s a strong class for st and aoe. What this video helps you to do, is learn how to maximize damage between different fight types. For example, if you’re trying to max your damage in a st fight, you’d run the dummy set up. If you’re trying to maximize aoe damage, the set Azureblight is discussed at great length, and is by far the strongest aoe set in the game. If you’re looking for something in between, deadly riptide is the best generic setup. All of this is discussed, but there is kind of a time and place to max both st OR aoe damage depending on a fight if that makes sense.
@@eigh1puppies I meant I primarily like the way AOE's feel in the game but lack a little bit of damage compared to when you're taking out single enemies with a single target move. Makes complete sense but it'd be out of balance if they made any AOE's stronger. I just want them to be stronger because I like hanging back and applying them in team content. And if you ask me, I personally wouldn't play the way he does in the video because I don't attack stand alone dummies when I'm playing the game. Sure, 130K+ sounds nice, but there are A LOT of other factors to worry about in actual content. I also find a lot people complaining about the dummies saying they're frustrated because they can't hit anywhere near 130K+ because of how they play, but I encourage them to play how they want because in reality, that much damage for one person or target, doesn't really matter. It's kind of like a long jump sport or something. It's interesting for bragging rights but not practical to most in the actual game.
I just realized you were the one in the video lol. My bad. Great build. I just wish there were other ways you could achieve those numbers. My favorite class to use is a Warden. Please help. And if I can't reach those numbers, why have they singled other classes out to be stronger. Not fair man.
So a few thoughts on this. First off, I totally agree with you, play the way you want to play! That's the whole point of the game right :)
However, this channel and these guides teach players who want to play the game in a way that min maxes damage. There is some degree of truth to saying that you don't play in raid the way that you do on the dummy, but, again ONLY in the world of min maxing, it's an extremely one sided view. You can go back and look at any of my trifecta or record videos and see that, some fights, I play EXACTLY like I do on the dummy. Other fights require some adaptation and nuance for extra AOE or Burst output though! It just depends :)
What the dummy IS good for though, is measuring progress, improvement, and mastery of a class. You cannot begin to effectively make changes to a rotation when a fight calls for it if you cannot first master the basic element of maintaining the rotation in a static environment, like the dummy! It is an integral part in maxing damage especially on console in the world of endgame!
Furthermore, when actually measuring damage in content, sometimes you do well below 130K because of a fights structure (like Aslyum where 80-90K is pretty solid because you only have 12-15 second burst phases on the boss) or you can do well over 130K, (like Bahsei where Azure Arcs can reach over 200K!). All of these numbers you can measure by looking through a site called eso logs :)
If this is the type of damage that interests you, I'd encourage you to continue looking at these in depth build guides, as they'll help get you there in any content. Otherwise, if this is not your style of play, play as you want! But hopefully this opens up a perspective into the world of endgame to you :)

Yeah this guide isn’t designed to be an all in one but more so as a source to go look at certain topics as they pertain to your needs. This is the type of content I’ve built my audience on and this is what they appreciate, so when I finish all 14 guides, I’ll likely make 20 minute condensed version to appeal to a broader audience. Character Sheet isn't very helpful, especially for a pve build, it will change pretty dramatically in content and the most important stats (pen and crit damage) are not accurately reflected
