Lots folks here simply ignoring that Mark gave them a significantly economically better deal. The no dilution ratchet would have been costlier than Marks 8%. The fact he agreed to 7% made it even better. It’s not that they just chose to ignore woman power. They made the optimal decision.

Lori was bit sad when mark got the offer. But the main subject we have to learn from Lori is she is a good and humble entrepreneur. When those ladies were returning back after the deal, Lori encouraged them and congratulated them, that's the true entrepreneur is..
She did that for her image. Just look at first episodes of shark tank, whenever someone else took the deal from her she would just give a look and say nothing. But with experience, she has since changed her tune because she must've realized it's a bad look.
So you expect her to start raining insults on them? That's not necessarily a genuine reaction... She is on camera and she got an image to protect so...
I mean you could kind of see it on her face as they were leaving that yes she's of course going to try to look good for her image but you could tell by looking at her that she was salty because her grasping at straws and trying to play the woman card against an economically better deal that Mark offered she was mad. And I have no sympathy for her in that regard because it's like you went to the lowest hanging fruit and tried to play a card that really has no good business basis behind it. He literally said I will give you 1 million at 8% and I have a background in plant-based foods that I personally own. Then he was willing to go down to 7% stake in there company so he actually has less steak but is still giving them a million dollars and his expertise in the field. If they would have taken that deal because women need to stick together bs it would have been worse for them her deal was actually more costly even though it seemed like she was taking less steak in the business and she was giving them less money and she had that no dilution part tacked on
Funniest thing is how Lori tried to butter them up with the woman card but they clearly weren't buying it. I guess the feminism angle doesn't always work when appealing to female pitchers. Lol

I like mark. He doesn’t brag about what he has and does, he doesn’t downplay the other sharks strengths and accomplishments like KEVIN, he doesn’t invest in things he isn’t absolutely sure about, and he doesn’t do the back and forth. If you hesitate to accept his deal, he will go out not to be petty like I’ve seen Lori and Damon due but because he wants you to be 100 percent comfortable with HIM not just his money.

I dont think I've ever seen Kevin diminish the other sharks, its usually the other way around. And Kevin is the sole reason that this show is entertaining.
He invested a mill in the DUI breathalyzer product and lost it all he said. He said it was the owner more than the product but the product got in trouble also.
I disagree with sharks backing out from an offer is considered petty because like they always say when they back out, its because they do not value them as partners. If they already show signs of that, the entrepreneurs will just do things their way and ignore the input of the sharks and the business might not grow like both sides hoped for.
I will admit that Damon is extremely petty and does things a lot petty things on the show for immature reasons (ex. like trying to raise prices on other sharks) but Lori, although she does have petty moments, like everyone does, is not a petty person.
The only thing Marc Cuban brags about is when the Mavs won the championship which is something u gotta brag about lol

@@manojramesh4598 agreed. If you look at his deals, they’re really not that bad. The only reason he structures royalty is so he can get his money back. But he never asks for as much equity. If the company takes two years to become profitable, then your equity is stuck. His total amounts are not as outrageous as Lori’s, who asks for 30-40% often. Lori is greedy but just puts on a nice mask whereas Mr Wonderful at least is up front and direct with you. I prefer him.

I’ll try to get the link in here (or at least the authors) but it will take a minute to find and UA-cam seems to take down comments with links. But I should be able to get the authors, title, and DOI.
Really fascinating article that suggests a similar idea, but I don’t recall them showing evidence that plant based diets mess with your body that way. But it is a logical argument to make based on their findings.
