Fiskars Made A Knife Just For The Garden?!

- When I saw the Fiskars Produce Knife on the rack at a local farm store, it was such strange looking blade that I had to pick it up. Fiskars makes some great tools including their axes, pruners, loppers, and shears, that I really was interested to see how it worked on picking vegetables in the garden.

The Mindful Homestead is a small farm in the Monadnock region of New Hampshire. We raise Forest Pastured Pork, Pastured Poultry and Fresh Eggs. Our aim is to grow as much of our own food as we can, while supplying quality farm products to others as well.
Good morning from Connecticut, i carry the same Leatherman on the farm, couldn't imagine not having it on me all the time.
I was just thinking about that knife, you can go from lettuce to linoleum with that hooked end. Subscribe, like, and share everyone so Jack can do videos for a living!
I use mine to cut my fishing line when I get snagged up
I like knives and axes too and my pruners and little folding saw. It is a blade thing I guess.🤷🏼♀️
Solid and honest 'first impression' video, Sir!
Definitely a useful lookin garden knife.
It is tiny " VESURI " 👶👏
Nice. Thank you.
Hello Jack,
I seem to be a knife guy and a Kubota guy as well. I usually find myself with a leatherman sidekick, an Ontario Rat 1 , and a Fiskars Powergear lopper or an Ontario SP53.
Hope you and your family are having a great summer,
Ben

Ha! I just bought an Ontario Tak 1. I love it!
Little safer than a carpet knife for sure.
I have one and it has been great for okra squash etc...
I lost my Leatherman and need to replace it. As far as the produce knife goes, I can see how the hooked end might keep you from injuring a plant by stabbing a point into the stalk. But, I'll roll the dice. Usually I'm a pull and twist kinda guy anyhow.
Heck yea man! i'm a sucker for knives as well. Im going tomorrow and finding me one of those knives lol. Those are cool looking. Also, keep putting these videos out man. Your very inspiring to me. Im trying to get the nerve to start my channel. I have one and i started it for wildlife photography but changed the name because people can get more out of homesteading education than photography lol. Anyway, keep the videos coming my friend
I’m a sucker for a gadget. Thank goodness I rarely have $20 extra dollars 😂
This is sweeet is there a knife you'd recommend over this one for the garden now?
It’s still a great knife, but since this video has come out, there are a bunch of other options. This is one of my favorites at the moment. I like the orange handle too as I tend to lose things. amzn.to/4bnmh2n
Ahh the banana blade I.e. the slingblade
How would someone sharpen this? I just got one and was wondering.
Sharpening rod. I use a worksharp guided field sharpener for a great deal of my sharpening needs. Trust me, it is the most versatile sharpener on the market!

Thank you! I just watched their short video and it looks like a fantastic system!
Fiskars does make decent blades. I was looking for my harvest knife it seems to have grown legs so I need a new one
Three minutes before you started talking about that knife. 🙄🙄🙄
