OC here I absolutely need the bike to excite me. I'm not just an A-B rider anymore. When I was commuting I didn't care, the ride was enough, but now that I don't commute 2 wheel life is about excitement and the bike is part of that.
I picked this up yesterday in all black with quick shifter/auto blipper, carbon parts, Full akra exhaust and it’s been flashed and makes 191HP at the wheel. 2019 model, only done 2000 miles. Can’t wait to pick it up next week
Had a 929 for 10 years. The cockpit views brought back a huge heaping of nostalgia. Big tank into a skinny front cowl. The 1000 still has the feel of it. And yeah, the on/off throttle abruptness was on the 929 too.
Dude said he can’t be thrilled or excited while riding a 1000. Have people lost their minds? I had a 2017 fireblade and it was disgustingly fast. NO ONE needs 95mph in first gear. Though, then again, I have always disagreed with the big dude in the car so whatever 😂
Yeah but 2021 is light and feels like a 600cc. Is over kill but you have the power if you need it. Usually 600 would be plenty speed and perfect weight but again this 1000RR is light.
@@jayyxyyt definitely not, very powerful bike. I had some experience in liter bikes ( friend’s ones) from 15 years ago and I ride very safe. Hey, I currently have a Z900, and I'm not too happy with it. It feels very underpowered and doesn't have any real hit in the power-band. I'm thinking about buying a CBR1000RR. Also, is the CBR comfortable enough for a semi-long distance ride?

It has that horrible throttle lag, Yamaha actually shuts off the fuel, it’s like turning off the key every time it decelerates, then you accelerate there is a lag until the fuel comes back on. They do this for fuel economy. There is a simple fix at least for the FZ1- flash the ECU and get rid of that throttle lag, also, when I had it flashed I got 50% more power in the three lower gears. Sounds like Honda has put a lot of restrictions in the ECU. Just thought I’d mention this.
You already reviewed this bike. The 2017-USA 2021 is the SC77. America didnt get the actual 2021 cbr1000. The rest of the world got a non-sp version of the RRR SP.
It is. The RR-R SP is technically a 2022 model but it was released before the regular version after the 17-21 body style was already in the market so you could say it’s last years model but it was still produced for the beginning of this year
