I can't help but keep coming to listen to this amazing story. It's just so neat. Then again, every story in every one of Wilbert's books are super-duper fantastic. And the way they're told by how Willie Rushton narrates is what makes 'em fascinating to get the idea that railroading is an all-inspiring great experience of a lifetime. And not to mention the everlasting, beautiful, realistic world-building artistry that both Gunvor Edwards and Peter Edwards simply created is very divine and beyond impressionistic, giving the stories all the more real-world portraiture of what the perspective of railroading is portrayed. What cool elements indeed 💯💯💯
@@henrytheriverengine8234 I thought this was a reference to the early books where they changed Henry's shape and colour because people kept mistaking him for Gordon

Not impossible, they could have used OO Gauge engines (The regular engines were Gauge 1 and the Skarloey Engines were O Gauge), but it would have been very hard to film
There an issue with the Skarloey engines' size making difficult to film that meant they got large scale models from series 6 onwards (the production team didn't have the budget to make large scale models for all the Skarloey engines, hence why Duke disappeared forever, Bertram never appeared after his introduction, and Sir Handel temporarily disappeared), so the Arlesdale engines would probably be even more difficult to film.
Oh but then he’d get in trouble with BR, because after the 1960s, they pretty much “lost their sense for humor” as the Reverend once said. And I mean he already described them as “cruel”...
