Late watching! It's Sunday. Nice log! There are times I wished I'd stay with wood working and cabinet making. Lol...but I enjoy watching your channel, Pete's, Nathan's, freaking jeep...working on small engines. Love yall from Texas.
We hope you are all keeping hydrated. Grandpa says a little sweat never hurt nobody but nobody in our household wants to see any of you get dehydrated or sick. Mom is a registered nurse and hopes you're taking care of your electrolytes. And oak is heavy.
Great video Mark. Beautiful grains in the oak lumber. It's true. A log is a " box of chocolates." Open the log up & see what you get. Stay cool everyone. Say Hi to Ed, & ZZ. Until the next video. 🥰😊😉👍❤️💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌳

Hi Mark Eddie and ZZ. NICE WEATHER. I SEE. I FOLLOW YOUR SAWING NOW SINCE before Eddy had a roof over his head. And now the lovely music you play while edging the boards at the end. And here in Sunny South Africa that music is called BOERE MUSIC. And that music orrigenates from South Africa. We'll Regards to you all in The USA. Your Friend Andries. Cheers. 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Love the videos guys. Keep up the great work. I installed an air blaster pipe on my buddies saw, so when a piece gets stuck next to the blade it gets hit with 175psi blast of air through 10- 3/8" nozzles. Have a great day!
I could not figure out what you meant by moving but on this video I sure could. Wow ! Good job guys. I enjoy the videos alot. Thank for taking the time to do them.
If you tip your dogs up button just a little and run your headblocks back you can turn that log over while backing up . Once you square the log up. I have sawed with an edminston sawmill years ago
That is downright gorgeous oak. The kind of oak I would make desks, dressers, armories, dining room tables and chairs from. I would not stain scarlet oak, the natural colors in it are more than attractive enough.
I hope you were able to get some good short boards out of those “ironing boards” you cut off. There was plenty of good making stuff wood in those things. That was whole lot of seriously good looking wood in that oak log!
hey mark , been watching for a long time, when i bought my band mill the guy told me to take 1/2 of the taper from both sides. but my brother say what differences does it make, so i ask what differences does it make ?
Happy little victim or unwilling or reluctant volunteer? Either way they are going to undergo some "unwilling" cutting remarks or moves. Nice to see you all in operation and to hear the band sing once again.
I have some post or pin oak growing by my house. Not sure, but they are straight and a little squatty. Get off the ridge and there are some nice some nice white oak. One be 3' through waste high.

Those boards were so nice I almost started drooling, Mark. When you asked the question about you know what, everyone answered for me, too.
Bill
thanks Bill.

Love to see how well yall are working together when edging the boards. Always focused on being there to loac the next piece to keep the machine fed!

Another great day at the mill. Y'all do great work. Sometimes I don't know how you get so much great product from some of those logs.

Good evening from Limpopo South Africa.
good evening David.
Beautiful lumber - i'm envious. Lots of stress in that log though, but as usual you conquered it.
thanks Norman.
Beautiful lumber guys you amaze me on how you can pick out the first cut
If you tip your dogs up button just a little and run your headblocks back you can turn that log over while backing up . Once you square the log up. I have sawed with an edminston sawmill years ago
I saw a reply from Mr. Eddie, that he's almost 70. I hope I'm able to get around and do things like he does when I'm that age.
yes he is in great shape.
Good evening from Lincolnshire UK.
good evening Andrew.
Nice Mark, actually that was really beautiful lumber, i was surprised :) thanks :) 💯 🙏
thanks Barry , yes very clear lumber.
Oak is my favorite type of wood. A nice white or red depending on what you are doing.
it does saw nice.
Nice oak for heavy barn floors and more, stress can’t they move on ya! Be well fellas
thanks Rob.
You guys are the best! Always good to see the results of smart, hard work.
thank you.
that is the most beautiful piece of wood i have ever seen you cut. that oak was spectacular. clear as a bell.
I couldn't believe how clear it was in the center of the log.
You never know.................... Good to see you!!!!!!
thanks Alan.
That is downright gorgeous oak. The kind of oak I would make desks, dressers, armories, dining room tables and chairs from. I would not stain scarlet oak, the natural colors in it are more than attractive enough.
Really pretty lumber!!!!!❤❤❤
thanks Karen.
And I thought the last oak looked good. Wow, this log was beautiful
thank you.
That tree must have grown with a lot of competition. Amazing there were no knots that close to the pith. Beautiful piece of oak!
thanks Gary , a valley tree.
Furniture material 👋👋👍☕️☕️
for sure.
All the way to the pith and only one knot on one board! Any sawyer would be happy to saw that!
I was very happy!
Nice lookin lumber. I'm a little curious about how you adjust the set works on the log carrier.
thanks Gary , I will show that on a upcoming video.
Did you lock your saw out when you removed that bark from your blade?
for sure.
Trim grade oak! Nice stuff
thank you.
Jumpin Jehosaphat! Today I learned why it's good idea to have the log laying flat on the head blocks for its entire length!
yes the rocking chair lol!
Worked in the timber business 30 plus years have only seen scarlet oak about 4 times and double hearted oak twice
I like it very clear wood.
Again great stuff gus, cheers from and respects from Luxembourg 🇱🇺 europe 40% wood
thanks Fern.
Absolutely beautiful wood, nice job guys!
thanks Debra.
Happy Friday Eve 😊 👍👍👍👍✌️
thanks.
how much time do you spend each week on maintenance and adjusting the mill
After cut how much dose the virgin wood shrink?
Now that is a nice looking log!
Is Mr Laser set to mark the top of the blade, or just where the cut will be?
I hope you were able to get some good short boards out of those “ironing boards” you cut off. There was plenty of good making stuff wood in those things. That was whole lot of seriously good looking wood in that oak log!
thanks , yes we do save the short pieces.
Wow! Such beautiful grain.
it sure was.
The sawmill where my father worked debarked the logs before sawing. Is there really a benefit from that?
yes there is if you saw thousands of feet of logs a day , easer on the saw and less bark to clean up around the mill.
Welcome to Summer! Eddie and ZZ need fans. 😅😅
thanks Joseph.
Wow that is some very pretty wood. I really like the grain in it.
thanks Charles.
I've finally subscribed but been watching you guys make lumber for some time. It's hot, 95°, here in Washington State this June 20th.
thanks for subscribing Phillipe.
Hey! where's the pine???? lol, just kidding ... nice to see some hardwood!
thanks Doug , lots more pine to saw lol.
Beautiful piece of wood!
thanks James.
Really nice boards!
thank you.
Would lubricating the blade with paraffin or bees wax do any good for reducing friction when cutting up the logs?
I never lubricate the blade but it would help with rust.
Booms all round!
And always let Eddie get his fingers back. 🫳
nice booms today lol.
The saw sounds sharp today and you guys look hot.
it's very sharp today Mike.
hey mark , been watching for a long time, when i bought my band mill the guy told me to take 1/2 of the taper from both sides. but my brother say what differences does it make, so i ask what differences does it make ?
that's good if the log doesn't have a uneven butt on it , if it has a straight side follow it and don't tapper it.
Little cooler here today, nice stiff breeze blowing. 85 here!
we are 95.
Great video mark
thanks Andruw.
Sure enough turned out to be a nice log.
it sure did Mark.
Oak trees are so pretty ❤ 14:44
I love oak.
Sounds like it was a tougher piece than the pines.
oak is a hardwood.
That is some nice oak lumber.
thank you.
Beautiful piece of wood. I be this would make some incredible furniture
I see a nice table top.
One of the more stressed logs we've seen on here. The more you cut it, the more it warped. Interesting
Yes it probably grew on a hillside that caused the stress in the log
Nice lumber . You guys work together very well . Seeya
thanks David.
God bless yawl their from New Zealand 🇳🇿 🙏 ❤️ 🙌
thanks Ken.
Yeah. Amen to that. This is our daily ritualistic relaxant (oops - LOL) channel.
Hello Mark and Eddie and ZZ
Hello!
Is your eyes doing better now ?
thanks , yes they are.
Lekker boeremusiek. Nie verwag om dit te hoor nie. Groete uit RSA.

very true.
Beautiful
Piece
Of wood
Happy little victim or unwilling or reluctant volunteer? Either way they are going to undergo some "unwilling" cutting remarks or moves. Nice to see you all in operation and to hear the band sing once again.
thanks Robert.
I have some post or pin oak growing by my house. Not sure, but they are straight and a little squatty. Get off the ridge and there are some nice some nice white oak. One be 3' through waste high.
white oak is bringing big money.
what is advantage of a circular saw, over a bandsaw?
Speed and accuracy and also a circle saw will last your lifetime with proper maintenance.
Circular saw can logs with dirt all over the bark all day long A band saw will only make it 35 or 45 minutes before it’s dull and won’t cut
Beautiful oak!
thanks Ed.
Boy it’s pretty though!
it sure was.
Heatwave here in New Brunswick CANADA yesterday and today with record temps over 116
Pretty hot here in western arkansas,as well!
95 here now and that's hot.
wow.... tranquility base, nice teamwork
thanks Rick.
Very beautiful lumber.
thanks McKinley.
