20's here this a.m. and the termostat goes down to keep te heat pump OFF. Long pants ON. Bus motor sounds nice as long as it don't get warm. Thanksgiving was WONDERFUL! Ears still ringing and we polished off the rest of the feed tonight. Be BLESSED and stay warm!
Mark, no TRUE greater Pittsburgh area sawyer would say its cold out as in 6 weeks you'll be begging for this weather. We all saw ZZ with no shirt, beach towel around his neck, slathering on SPF50, it was balmy out. Perfect corkscrew sawing weather.
It's been fairly cold down here in Northeast Alabama as well. Enjoyed the video as usual and it's always good to see all y'all especially when ZZ MARK ain't on the list 😂
Mark, Since it is getting cold there and you have all that cherry wood I would love to see you make something out of it in your woodshop! Maybe have Eddie and or ZZ if he's available there to help! Three or so videos would be nice😊
A couple years back I had a small hyd motor split open like it was a tin can because it was so cold and the hydraulics were cold. Now I have a small heater in the tank. I just plug it in for 30 minutes before we start up in the morning But I do forget to plug it in sometimes and it warms up in a few logs You must be close to sawing up all the Cherry soon
@ I do the same mark when it gets cold I’ll run the carriage up and down the track. Dogs up and down. Log turner. Same kinds thing as you. Just try to get some warmth lol
The weather turned cold abruptly. Hydraulics don't like it cold. Wrap a coil of copper tube around your burn barrel run hydraulic fluid through it to warm it up LOL
Mark, are there any steel mills still operating in Pittsburg area? I live near Detroit and we used to have about ten in the area but now there is only one, owned by Ford called the Ford Foundry in Wyandott Mi.
I have viewed a couple of your sharpening videos and you never mention any “set” in the saw teeth. Is it because the carbides are wider than the main disc or is it because you are sawing green lumber?
I like the reduced noise from the bus motor. Nice improvement. Make some nice lumber.
thanks Richard , it did help the noise.
Always great to see our work! Stay warm.
thanks John.
The motor enclosure is a huge improvement.
Thanks for the videos, and happy holidays! 😊
thanks Jay.
Love the snack. Stay warm and be safe. ❤❤❤
thanks Karen.
Great video. Sorry about the temperature. I don't work well in the cold either. I like the dog house over the bus motor.
thanks Jerry.

I try to warm up the mill before sawing , run the carriage back and forth , dogs up and down , log turner ect.

yes and a cold week ahead Russ , but we will get thru it lol.
Good content!!! I was thinking y’all were from Tennessee, but I heard you say Pennsylvania today, it’s all good
thanks James.

yes it did get cold very fast.
It is cold in Wisconsin too!!!🥶🥶🥶🥶
yes the east coast is in the path.
Wouldn’t be quite so bad but the wind is miserable
Big difference in sound with the motor enclosed. I can hear the cold hydraulics more than the bus motor!!
Big Meal Menu Guess: Turkey Helper, and Green Acres, Mrs. Douglas's upgraded 'Hot Dog Water' soup.
... Big Doghouse ..!
for sure lol.
I can hear you much better now. Thank!
it did help.
Hydraulics don't work well when it's cold? I don't either! The difference is that I don't get warm that easily.
Bill
I feel the same Bill lol.
Is there any way you could divert some of the heat off your enclosed engine to your hydrolics ?
not sur how to do that , it gets warm after a few logs.
Lets remember that, also other world watches, please say it also in celsius scale !!
true but I don't know it.
Mark, are there any steel mills still operating in Pittsburg area? I live near Detroit and we used to have about ten in the area but now there is only one, owned by Ford called the Ford Foundry in Wyandott Mi.
not many here.
A military brother of mine grew up with view of 3 rivers and he didn't mean in good way.
Bob Brown good man.Lost touch with him 1979.
Not too sure about log number 2
What is the total travel on one tapering arm?
4"
What got you guys started with bus moter preduson
21°F = -6°C

it a dove tail saw "rip blade" no set.
So, how did you end up with the mother-lode of cherry logs there? (I see you're over 88K subscribers now, also!)
we bought a load of logs that Pete was logging.
@@markgalicic7788 Aaah...
Think you should go back to calling the logs, victims.🤣
true.
Cold? summer time here cheers from us down under
send us some heat!
Happy Sunday Eve!😊🪚🍁🦮🐕🦺👍👍👍👍✌️
thanks Mel.
@@markgalicic7788I look forward to tube videos like this on the weekends when there's nothing on TV except sports and religious garbage.
