    Thanks for the tip. I just bought my '08 FJR. I'm changing all of the fluids this weekend. I'm glad I watched this video before I tore it all apart for nothing. Thanks a lot.

    Just what I needed. So much easier than trying to pull off that whole faring thing. You’re a timesaver.

    Just picked up a 2007 fjr yesterday. Thanks for the tip! Bloody engineers. Things like coolant, oil, brake fluids etc., should be easily accessible.

      Enjoy the bike! Regular fluid changes seem easy, it's the throttle sync and valve check I'm concerned about

    hi aaron, i also had to access the radiator cap to add coolant to my '05. i also viewed and read all the online misinformation that said you had to remove the entire front end plastic. i was not willing to do that. then i saw your vid. voila! i removed the hazard sw panel (no abs) and had easy access to the cap. oddly, my overflow tank is on the other side of the bike so i removed that panel first. extra work. you saved me a bunch of time, labor and words i shouldn't be using. thanks. the service manual doesn't even tell you how to access the cap!

    Thank you! You just saved me a couple of hours of sweat and labor to do this task. Soo much easier to maintain compared my old bmw k1200rs. In order to do anything all the Tupperware had to be removed.

    Great video - LOVE the Raven Black color, looking for an '08 or '09 myself. Hopeful I can find one at some point.

    Thank you Sir! That was a tremendous help (2008 FJR) in reducing the labor to do such a basic job. I wasn't worried about the minor amount of coolant left in the reservoir, and was able to use a large animal syringe (things come in really handy) to inject coolant to bring it up to the proper level. The factory manual would have had this taking many hours, and way too many fasteners. Thanks again!!

      I am so glad this helped you out! That was my goal, and yeah it's crazy how much time the "right" way to do this job takes which is why the dealer charges a crazy amount for the coolant flush

    I notice that you have a heated grip on your motorcycle. What brand is that heat grip ? can you send me a link to buy it ?

    Stupid question alert. What's the procedure to refill. You just put the recommended amount into the radiator while keeping an eye on the overflow reservoir level?

    • @aarnjams
      @aarnjams  2 роки тому +1

      What i did was Slowly fill the radiator, let it sit with the cap off, come back and fill more. Put cap on, start bike and let it run for 30 seconds or so. Take cap off and top off, replace cap. Make sure reservoir is at the full mark. Go for a ride. After it cools, the reservoir level may drop some so top that off. That worked well for me!

    what am i missing; he didn't do a coolant change ? and he removed fairing panels and then thinks that bending his fairing is a recommended way to drain his collant: WTF
