Honestly I don't know, because I did buy any when I visited.
But Because it is a Muslim country, you are not allow to drink alcohol on the Islands (only on the private resorts. But I know in Maafushi, you can buy a drink and also beer on a boat anchor right outside Mafushi, the pick you up at the pier. So that would be fun to try. Enjoy.
