It's better to visit goa Or Kerala beach if not staying at main island of maldives, there is nothing to see, you will go only to put facebook check in that's it
Hi Budget Maldives, ❤️ I have recently moved to study in Ireland and make videos on life in IRELAND, In your spare time please go through my videos and please give some feedback so that I can improve. Thanks in Advance. :)
The whole point of Maldives is to have a laid back time and relax with a view. Do some water sports. Do some scuba diving. There is nothing to do or see other than that in Maldives. And for all that you will have to spend. Better to save for a while and then plan a trip for what it's worth. Or else you're gonna have a budget Maldives trip and look at pictures and videos of people enjoying the way you would have wanted to..regretful.
Not everyone has that kind of money. Also, there are other travellers that would rather use their money to see more of the world more often than spend thousands of dollars for one vacation.
Staying in a local island is indeed cheaper. I would suggest putting up at Maafushi, since the island is more developed than others. Also, there is a bikini beach at Maafushi which is a taboo at other local islands. However, to get a flavor of real Maldives, a day trip to exclusive islands like Ranhalli, Fihaalholi, etc. is a must.
Fiona Jacobs you can really do the same activities high end resorts provide you such as snorkeling or dolphin sightseeing on the local island hotels as well and truly for half the price. they’re more accommodating and friendly as well. as a maldivian myself, many would agree, the local islands truly give you the ‘real’ maldivian experience. ofc, if you’re into a more luxurious experience you can opt for the resorts. many maldivians agree resort experiences are sugar coated and you miss out on a lot of the culture and insight on maldives 🤷♀️ she missed out on a lot in the video lol
Loved this, Kamiya 😊👍 I visited Addu atoll in South Maldives and managed a fab 6-day stay for Rs. 40K, including flights. So totally agree that budget Maldives is now possible.
@@Superedrose05 stayed at 2 different places. Cress Lodge, which was a homestay ($35 per night) and Equator Village - a fab resort which was just $100 per night. and totally worth it. loved both :)
@@jinaldedia didn't go beyond Addu atoll, but enjoyed experiencing a local island and seeing the simple life there. we did dolphin spotting, a snorkelling trip, an island visit (pretty ok) and a visit to Kottey which was my favorite part of the island - an eco reserve that's fantastic for people looking for plain ole nature!

Maldives was never expensive, it's Bollywood that has raised the common Indian standards with their Insta posts lying at Soneva resorts every now and then.. common crowd always prefer to travel budget friendly.. Just like Udaipur, you can follow travellers staying at Lake Palace and think Udaipur to be expensive spending 80k/night or you can get a decent room upto 4k-5k with a similar lake view and complete your 3-4 day family trip under same budget..
Such a wonderful video ! We also really love to travel around the world. We are praying for COVID 19 spread to become almost zero so that All those who love to travel, can enjoy the beauty of nature again.
