Front and rear. Actually bought them to help get some group clearance back after adding the front bar and skid plate. They gave me some of It back...On a side note the ride is better overall with them.
Rick your car has a great stance. Whether you tow the trailer or load the back! Glad the ride is great also! I just turned 5K on Thursday. My a/c seems to be working fine especially since we had 95° a few days ago. Now we have low in the 40's and fall is here so had to use heat driving down the shore this morning. Deer out in the Jersey pine barrens! Dangerous to drive over the speed limit with them so close! Nice hearing from you!!!
Thank you as always Dave. Great to hear you hit 5,000 miles and your AC is working well. The cool temps are starting to show up around here as well....at least in the mornings. Drive safe!
Yes I agree with you the rallitek springs are 👍🏻 I’ve been running their overload springs with a roof top tent and spare tire mounted on my hitch and they keep it a bit higher then level on the rear.
Looks lIke the links from the install video no longer lead anywhere and I believe RalliTEK changed the name of the springs. They are 1" springs and I can't remember the name they used for them in the past. but I am pretty sure they are the "lift springs" now.
Nice work Rick! I have a somewhat similar setup on 2001 Outback. I have the springs for a 2006 Baja Turbo on the back. side by side on the bench, they are the same free height as the stock springs but a visibly thicker metal. They give me about a 0.5" rear-up rake and are much less prone to sagging than the stock springs that were made out of marshmallows haha
Rick, they gave rear springs that match the front 20% stiffer rate,or they offer the 40-45% stiffer rears. Which did you get? I have a 160 pound roof top tent, 3 people, and maybe another 150 pounds in the rear. Which ones should I get in the rear? Thanks
The ones I have are the same front and back. That is significantly more weight than I generally carry so I think it would be worth a call to RalliTEK and see what they think. They were pretty cool when I spoke to them a couple years ago. Ride Height: +1" LIFT* Spring Rate: 220 lb/in 18-20% stiffer than OEM Fits with OEM and KYB struts Increases street stability and towing capacity Increases off-road performance
Hi Rick, Enjoying your videos ! I just bought a 2021 Crosstrek Outdoor edition with the 2.5. Had our Mtn bikes on the back loaded with gear for a trip to the farm and was not impressed with how much the rear sagged. I’m considering these springs, just concerned about how the ride is when empty vs loaded ? I like the stock ride when empty but it’s to soft with bikes and gear.
Thank you and congratulations on your new Crosstrek. I still have not driven the more powerful engine yet. As to the springs they are not soft at all and for me the ride is improved over stock. Best part is they took the "heaviness" off of the front do to my bar and skid plate and will definitely help the sag you are getting when loaded up.
I work much of the week, but Trent and I are in the process of planning something on the 13th and 14th. Possibly down towards Portal again. We should have details figured out in the next couple of days and I will let you know if you feel like coming down this way. :)
Excellent. We are going to try and sort things out tomorrow or Monday. Tentatively we are going to leave Sunday morning, stay over night, and then come back on the 14th. I have to work on Tuesday and Trent has stuff going on Friday and Saturday unfortunately. So a quick overnighter. I'l have the where soon and will let you know here or via email.
Rick, what is the compression specs of these? I have a 2020 outback and there’s 2 different spring rates they offer. Also, did you do the fronts? Shocks? How’s the ride without a load on it? Thanks
I did both the front and rear springs and kept the stock struts and shocks. These are the 1" springs from them. The ride is great all around and in my opinion better than stock. Here is a link with all the stats. Thank you for watching and good luck if you go with the springs. www.rallitek.com/lift-springs/10859-rallitek-1-front-raised-springs-crosstrek-xv-2018-2020.html?results=34
Looking forward to see what you are doing with all that wood and beer. Great video as always Rick. Cheers! Zippy had its 30k service this week and running like new.
Awesome Deb! You all must be getting chilly these days and Zippy will have to do some work in the snow soon. :) Still no beer fridge in there, but there is lots of wood now....My Mesquite is still drying and waiting to be something exciting I'm sure. LOL Have a good weekend.
Hey Rick any chance of doing a 0-60 video to see the difference with KO2s? I figure since you live ins flat low elevations area you would be an ideal person to do it.
I can give it a try here soon, but it will probably be an on the dirt 0-60 like I did back in the day with the car stock. Would be fun to film. :) I didn't really noticed a change with them on the car acceleration wise when I first put them on, but they are a bit heavier.
Rick, thanks for another great quick video. Have you noticed any mpg differences yet? I need to get the new coils as well, tired of sagging all the time from over loading the back
Hi Alex, I should get a real idea here now that summer is over, but so far I have not noticed any real mpg difference. Most of it is driving style and whether or not I have towed a lot with the current tank of gas. And thank you very much! I am really liking the springs.
HI Nathan, Yep, I think so. There would be an additive effect for sure. My RalliTEK's didn't give me quite 1", but you would get a boat over the 1.5 of the ADF lift for sure. Thank you so much watching!
do you have any discount codes for Rallitek? wondering, I have 2 questions, 1. has changing or getting the 235/75/15 tires crossed your mind? and 2. are you planning on adding the lift spacers? 3. Do you have any discount codes for Rallitek?
Hi Leon, unfortunately I do not have any discount codes...I bought my springs when they were on sale awhile back. My next step is to put a lift on it and most likely the LP aventure 1.5 ". No plans for the 235's. The 215's work out great, are lighter and don't rub at all so I am content with them. The 235's look good though!
I got them installed on my crosstrek last week and notice today that when i turn into a driveway with an incline i hear minor clunking from the springs. Did you experience the same sounds? Do know if there is a settle period? Im ok with the slight clunky but just want to make sure it is normal. Any information is appreciated.
Hi Miguel, they will settle a bit over a couple of weeks and I would wait until you get some miles on it before getting an alignment. Maybe a week or so of driving. I did not have any clunking with my springs so I do not think that its normal. Were you able to put weight on the suspension, loosen up everything and then re torque to speck? When I did the back I got a little bit of a pop out of one side. Still have not done the rears since I can not get to the bolts with the wheels on the ground. Plan to lift the car back on to jack stands up front, then weight the suspending by using a jack. Loosen up the bolts then re torque. Or, you could ask the alignment shop to do it for you...I would think they would do so for a few extra bucks.
@@AZdroptop, thank you and sorry for the delayed response. I notice that the driver side rear spring was sitting off to the left side. I reposition it, tighten the top hats and the noise is completely gone.
Awesome Rick, Thanks for the feedback on how the springs are performing. Coming up on 27k on the 2019. I really appreciate the time you take to do these videos, i just installed the hitch to my car last week and used your install video as a reference. I may be looking at a suspension upgrade here in the near future so its nice to see the success you're having with the load on the back.
Congrats on the Hitch Mike! You will love all of the versatility it will give you. I have been using mine a lot picking up supplies for the shop build out. Thanks so much for watching along and all of the support and best of luck with the suspension build. I am still wanting to do a lift here soon, but it seems other items are taking priority these days. Have a great weekend.
I will never buy a Subaru again in 1 year, I had 2 broken windshields, steering gearbox problem and had to change the battery. This in the 2018 #crosstrek model. Subaru is being the biggest disappointment.
Thank you for Sharing. Did you add them to just the rear or did you do front and back?
Front and back. They made a nice difference all around.
Great video, but I think my favorite part was the State Champ rocking a Shimano T-shirt. Rick's a humble BEAST!
Thanks brother! You’re the best.
Is this rear only, or did you put Rallitek in front to? Thanks!
Front and rear. Actually bought them to help get some group clearance back after adding the front bar and skid plate. They gave me some of It back...On a side note the ride is better overall with them.

Nice Justin. How are you liking the rooftop tent? They look like a really nice piece!
Hi, were you using ralliTek in the fronts too?
Is that the sport spring? Or the over load?
Looks lIke the links from the install video no longer lead anywhere and I believe RalliTEK changed the name of the springs. They are 1" springs and I can't remember the name they used for them in the past. but I am pretty sure they are the "lift springs" now.

do you think this 1in lift would be enough to use 235/75/r15 tires without rubbing? i wanna do this to my new 2021 crosstrek
Rick, you have anything going on Columbus Day week? I'm thinking of giving the Slowaru a proper send off up north...
I work much of the week, but Trent and I are in the process of planning something on the 13th and 14th. Possibly down towards Portal again. We should have details figured out in the next couple of days and I will let you know if you feel like coming down this way. :)

@@AZdroptop sounds good, let me know.
@@manfredo4287 yeah it generally offends others but it is my car and its pretty slow with a manual lol.

Pardon my ignorance, but with these springs plus, say a 1.5" ADF Lift, would your total lift be 2.5"? Thanks Rick big fan!
