@@zydration3538 It's not just the theme, it's the ride system and show scenes. While it's true that Indy doesn't "own" ancient temples, it's willfully lying to pretend that the ride isn't heavily cribbing from the specific Indiana Jones (and to a lesser degree The Mummy) theme park rides. Compare them directly from videos.
That's an impressive facility, too bad it's all screens and carnival spook house dummies instead of animatronics. A little bit of articulation with the archer's arms midway through.
These rides have so much room, and use it poorly. Reminds me of the dark rides in Dubai, where the show scenes are cavernous...like huge warehouses, but they lack good storytelling. They move slowly, you can see scenes up ahead. No surprise. Just tons of money thrown around with no good payoff.
I like the concept but the ride is not without its flaws. Here’s what would’ve done differently: 1. Add music to help set the mood 2. Made the environment a little darker so that the jump scares would be more hidden 3. Shorten the length of the ride, it felt like it just went on and on 4. Add some sort of special effect to give the illusion of the terra-cotta warriors coming to life 5. Increase the speed of the vehicle by a small amount to more of a thrill But that’s just my opinion.
In Fantawild theme park in Xiamen (opened in 2013), there was music on this ride. The ride showed in this video is located in Fantawild theme park in Zhuzhou(opened in 2016), they deleted the music in this updated version. Probably because the music they used were from 'Pirates of the Caribbean‘ series, and due to the copyright issue, they abolished the music track.
how much was that ride. it seem longer than most. the effects would hav been better if it was slightly darker i think. some of he jump scares were lost because it was so bright on parts.
That was an interesting ride. Parts of it were very cool - I love the way it looked. I think I was expecting it to go faster at times, more like how the very end of the ride was.
I really don't like all the screens though. I am not a fan of screens on rides. Actual physical sets would be so much better. I think that King Kong ride at Universal is about the lamest ride I've ever seen.
@@kanealoha it absolutely does. It just makes it feel fake to me. Granted, I have only seen it through a computer screen. Being quadriplegic, I'm not able to ride the vast majority of rides and watching them on UA-cam is the only way I can experience them.
When you don't have anywhere near the budget of Disney...and it shows. Projections galore all over the place, and I may be wrong, but it didn't look like the ride vehicle was moving at all like it does at Indiana Jones
Actually there were multiple versions of this ride in different parks, and in Fantawild theme park in Xiamen (opened in 2013), there was music on this ride. The ride showed in this video is located in Fantawild theme park in Zhuzhou(opened in 2016), they deleted the music in this updated version. Probably because the music they used were from 'Pirates of the Caribbean‘ series, and due to the copyright issue, they abolished the music track.
Too bad the theme parks don’t have areas themed to 80’s cult movies. “Krull”, “Blade Runner”, “Time Bandits”, “Ladyhawk”, “Swamp Thing”, “Highlander”, “Real Genius”, “Brazil”, “The Adventures of Buckaroo Bansai”, “Three O’Clock High”, “Adventures in Babysitting”, “Trancers”, “The Beyond”, “Airplane”, “Spaceballs”, “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure”, and of course, “The Evil Dead”.
An attempt was made. You can't say they didn't try though. I did like the effect of the explosion on the doorway and then having it open, it just needs to open a little faster.
I think the ride system exhausted their budget. The designers and engineers seem capable otherwise. It did do something the Indiana Jones ride can't. The car backed up. Twice. I've never understood why Disney didn't think they could do this. Some blocks are slower than others, typically. If you programmed a car to back up a little, why can't the controller just play it the same way as a slow block? (as long as it didn't intrude on the previous block) Of course, I'm assuming it's the control system. The vehicles might be incapable somehow. I just know Disney spent a crap-ton of money to not go backwards in that ride.
So what is the meaning of this ride? Why do the Terra Cota Warriors come to life and try to attack you? Is there a translation video available so we can know what they are saying?
Interesting ride... Yeah a mix of Indy and Mummy... My only complaint... some scenes are too much... Too much stuff (overcharged with things) and it feel more like a mess of too many things at once. When it's more focused, the ride is super!
Is this theme park and attraction located in Xi'an? I must have missed it when I was there...And is there no staff worker to greet you at the jeep car? Also...did you show the entire queue, or just part of it? Just curious...it also looks like you had the entire ride to yourself! What amazing themeing! And it's nice and long too...they really spent a lot of money on this one. Did you also wear 3D glasses?
The size and scale were pretty impressive for a knock-off attraction. Why was it kind of legit scary with the static statues and slow-moving vehicle. 😮
google search said there is alot of fantawild theme park in various city in china. So what city is this ride for in China? or does all the Fantawild Theme park in china have this ride?

To me it looks like a cool ride and I live in California not too far from Disney. The ride just needs some music and if the ride vehicle moved similar to the Indiana Jones ones (movements to simulate rough terrain) it would be even better. Theming and sets are great
I don’t think it was that bad. I think it just needed better framing of their projections. So many rectangles 😳 they needed be better blended with the other elements in each area
Is this a total Nacho Platter on the Cheese Scale? Yes. Would I give my left pinky toe to ride it?Also yes. Oooooh yes (but I did start picking up on the subtle differences between the soldiers that whatever company used for the molds, so that was pretty neat).
You know what? I don't mind they cribbed the homework. It's actually better when the culture itself gets to parody itself. Indiana Jones makes a half assed attempt to represent other mythologies. They do a mostly full assed attempt at copying Indiana Jones. 🤷🏾♀️ seems all fair to me. Also, if this was a tad bit faster both in track layout and animatronic reactions, I think it would be a pretty good ride all told. The Terracotta army under the bridge was great.
Yikes! If only the ride lived up to the Que… it reminds me a of a carnival ride. And those screens…. Say what you will about Disney but there’s a reason so many others copy their rides.
This is interesting to me because the sets look great, but the animatronics look like something you'd find in a haunted house at a carnival

The Mummy:Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

It's actually darker. They always film these videos way too brightly. So that's why you see so much ceiling and the screens are so bright.

It probably looked bright because the filming was done with a low light camera. That type of filming makes it look brighter than it actually is.
The treasure room is very much like The Mummy.

In terms of Indiana Jones Adventure ripoffs this one was pretty good. The ropes on the bridge actually move.
Indiana jones meets the mummy 3
AWSOME, wish it was the original but it works
This felt like a 10 minute ride… that’s not a compliment
Almost as many screens as a Universal ride
Or a modern Disney ride.
