Well. I must say this is a wonderful song. Congratulations on capturing the essence of an energy associated with the name Mara. A perplexing name - several definitions and meanings of this name. I was told, yet have not confirmed, Mara while a wild reserve park in Africa is also associated to the white lion. I can understand the reference to eating scraps and waiting to attack. Totally unsure if this indeed relates to the meaning of your song. No matter the intent, I thank you for this beautiful creation. It made me smile. I will smile again and again, every time I listen to it. Perhaps biased, as my name is Mara.

Mara is in reference to the demon king that tried to tempt the Buddha on his path to enlightenment. The song is about Matt’s personal struggle with temptation I believe.
