Honestly speaking as a professor, if you have studied entire year, exhausting yourself now will not really change results very much. I have seen students make silly mistakes and not manage their time in exams, getting a bad grade as they didn't finish the paper/ said drastically wrong answers in viva due to anxiety. What I think he means by not trying is you need to still take action, but lose the mindset of desparation. It is probably a taoist advice.

Secret to confidence, focus on yourself and fall in love with yourself. Never need anyone’s validation because your validation is all you need. I totally agree with what he said. Stop trying? Who are you trying to impress because nobody cares literally😂 so impress yourself, do it for you, be the best version of you for you and watch how everyone starts to feel that energy emitting from you because attractive people energy is based on focusing on themselves and filling their own cup. They don’t need the outside world to validate them because they already validated themselves and they come off care free and so fun to be around ❤

I would agree with you. I work with people on this exact thing but from what I've seen, that only works in some cases. Depending on what they are trying to gain confidence in, they conditions for your advice to automatically "connect" may or may not be present. From what I've seen, it's hard for them to actually trust themselves because they have no successful "files" of them trusting themselves and it working out for them. They also just may not be conscious of them, may downplay them, or the things they are confident about are of no real significance to them. I would say that the way to build confidence is yes to “trust yourself” however do so only after you start doing things. If you say oh yea im doing this new thing but you have never done anything similar before you won’t have confidence because it’s factually impossible for you to have it in that situation. You need to prove to yourself that you can do things. Then that certainty that you gain from accomplishing smaller tasks will be your confidence. My point is that if you have no experience and you convince yourself to be confident you are experiencing delusion. You have to do enough that your giving yourself a real statistical chance building your “confidence” in ability because you are just scaling the same skill. This is different then controlling impulses and getting up everyday and doing it regardless of how you feel or “believing in yourself” to do it.

I notice myself in conversations wanting to say things or comment on people, but I don't seem to be able to come up with the words. I don't think about it a lot as i learned that its a huge flaw i have to live with. Never seen anybody mention this anywhere sadly. I don't seek approval or anything, but i had people tell me it makes me come off as slow/not confident and not interested. It's not an issue, but confidence doesnt fix this.

That's great! Confidence seems more simple than I thought. I used to hear always, "Fake it 'til you make it", but that wasn't the whole answer. Your explanation sounds better. Good to know. Thanks.

I remember a movie or a documentary with actors, about pirates. At one moment, the captain told the cabin boy to grasp and handfull of sand. The more you will try to keep the sand in your fist, the more it will escape, and the more it will be visible. So, in the end, with money, tries or even secrets, don't hold that too much, on the contrary, open up and let it go when needed.

Trust the process in letting go of trying to control the unfolding of life.
It’s in the unlearning of our conditioning that we remember we know what we’re capable of being, doing, and having.
    Breathe.
    Be present.
    It’s going to be okay.
    You are enough.
We are all doing our best.
    Take care everyone. ❤🙏🏼🌎🧿✨🎉

It works both ways... like if ur confident you go get it... u go after it...and in a relationship you open up if ur super into them u don't feel the need to hide it or play games... but the other side (what this video is touching on) is also important... so you must find balance... and timming

Confidence is gained by competence. That's the way happy neurochem Serotonin works, the more you win the happier you are, the more you get competent/capable the more confident you become... "you cannot be a master if you're not willing to be a fool"

Confidence = from the Latin roots. Con as prefix meaning “with or to carry” Fidere is the Latin origin of suffix “fidence” meaning faith or Trust. So having confidence means “With faith”

I heard this recently and i think it's the best way i have actually heard it. Confidence is something you look at from the outside in, it's like the best lasagna you've ever had that is incredibly good good but you have no idea what's in it because you don't have a recipe. What we need is the recipe! you can make a lasagna that looks just like it but it won't taste the same and that's what we all do by "trying to be confident", we make mediocre lasagna that looks nice. The recipe to the best lasagna ever is to exert effort, not in confidence, but in self acceptance! a cool person will accept himself in all situations, no matter how embarrassing or shameful. This will make you act right and change or accept anything that is out of place, it will give you inner peace and a feeling of being good enough. The beginning of growth and that thing others call self confidence. Try it! it changes the game

There isn’t a single mindset or attitude that you cannot poke holes in. Take any approach to life, and you will be able to make it sound stupid. This will be reflected in the way you view your own life.
But when you start doing the reverse and see the merit in the various approaches people have, that is when you will stumble upon the answers you have been missing

...so, confidence makes you attractive. Do things that make you feel more confident, such as, get fit, clean your house/car, pay you bills on time, learn a new skill, be kind to yourself and others, get a new outfit and hairstyle and set and accomplish goals.

Confidence comes from support and being able to build a belief system about your own idenity (validation from others or of the self, it doesnt matter. Confidence is not facts or proof it's a blind belief or love. Support builds momentum and possibilities/potential, this is why majority of people chose sponsorship and not mentorship. It's clearly not about competence for majority of people, it's about security and comfort and acceptance.

Confidence isn't a choice. It's a byproduct of actions you take over time.
"From now own trust yourself." In practice that doesn't mean anything at all. Sounds cool though, and people like simple and easy.

Confidence is great but the fine line of over confidence is very easy to cross. Set an obtainable goal first then move forward. But always accept the possibility of failure as part of life but never let failure define you.
