Poor Yfke! Yes, it is awful to see her in pain like this! 😢 I can't believe this is happening yet again. I would suspect it's something in the pasture, but Risey is fine, and so are Saly, Coralle and their foals. Could this be limited to where Yfke, Reintje and Baukje go when they're outside? I'm praying for a quick recovery for Yfke, for Yvonne, and for everyone else at Stal H. There is an answer, and I pray it's discovered quickly. 🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🐴🐎💞💕
You are right, it is always that particular pasture. Maybe there is something that is not quite digestible? Regarding Risey: he is a Warmblood, which might be more robust. Or did not eat the plant. As far as I know, Friesians are somewhat more sensitive in the belly area?
The best thing we ALL can do for Yvonne now? Stick with her, support her mentally and validate her by what she does. And she does it SO well❣️❤️ But support and understanding of course doesn't get the most "clicks", does it? 😏 Especially since the situation is a quarter of a year(!) ago and apparently no horse has had colic since then... Wich could be do for the fact that the summer (and therefore the pastures) became drier? Yvonne had consulted several vets and the clinic too and had bloodtests done. She checked the invironment, the feed and the pasture. Yvonne, you do an excellent job - with your four- and two-legged family and friends❣️ Thank you very much for sharing with us so wonderfully ❣️🥰
I grew up as a "City Girl" in an Atlanta suburb (State of Georgia, Southern U.S.A). Until Yvonne began teaching me, everything I knew about Horses, I'd learned from Television, Movies, and Books. Here in America, in the 1950's & 1960's, we had a lot of TV Shows and Movies called "Westerns". They were all about the "Cowboy Life" in the Central and Western part of the United States, set mostly in Frontier Days. Naturally, there were lots of Horses then. I still don't know how TRUE some of them are, but TWO of the things that I learned about Horses from watching those "Westerns" were: First, . . . That the legs of Horses are extremely fragile. They have me believing that one wrong turn or a very quick movement can cause a Horse's leg to snap in two like a twig. In the Movies, there was nothing that could be done to save a Horse with a broken leg. The poor creature was done. The merciful thing for the Cowboy to do was to shoot it. The End. 😪 I presume that modern medicine has found a way to mend a Horse's broken leg, and that with a lot of expensive care, a Horse can survive. Even so, every time Yvonne comments about Risey's galloping and says that he must be careful to not hurt himself, I think about this broken leg thing and shudder. Second, . . . The TV Shows and Movies always made a big deal about Horses lying down. In fact, they had me believing that Horses slept standing up, and that unless a Mare was giving birth, a Horse shouldn't lie down at all. They portrayed "lying down" as certain death. They had me so convinced of this that the first time Yvonne filmed the young Horses napping in the Pasture at Stal G, I was freaking out! Mythology. What can I say? Eventually, I learned that it is quite normal for a Horse to lie down to sleep, or to just rest for a while. Now, there's this Colic thing with the Horses. I am only now learning that there's a BIG difference between a Horse lying down to rest and a Horse lying down from Colic. A person like me, with no experience with Horses, might totally miss the signs that separate one cause from the other. Thankfully, Yvonne DOES know Horses, and she knows all of the signs to look for. The Horses are lucky to have a Caregiver like her who can read the subtle signs of their distress, and we are lucky to have a teacher like Yvonne! I have learned so much about Horses from watching Yvonne and this Channel. Yes, it's lovely to watch the Foals being born and growing up. It's fun to watch the Horses bucking and rearing and scratching and eating in the Pasture. It's interesting to watch Inspections and Dressage Competitions and local Stable Tours. BUT --- It's AMAZING how much stuff you can actually LEARN about Horses just from showing up here every day. I hope that when this 3-part Series ends, Yfke is okay. I also hope that if there is something in the Pasture that is making the Horses sick, it is discovered and eliminated before anything bad happens to any of the other Horses. This is a very scary time at Stal H. I am glad about one thing though. Yvonne is there. She knows Horses. It's almost as if she can read their minds. She WILL get to the bottom of this mystery. I'm sure of that! 🦸♀️ + 🐎 = Yvonne Horjus 👁 💙 Friesian 🐎🐎🐎 Channel!!!
This was a very nice post. Yes, Yvonne is able to spot when a horse is feeling ill and she acts quickly and gets them treated. I, as you said, have learned so much from this channel. Have great day.🐎💓
Unfortunately, some breaks are still a death sentence. I sometimes feel guilty for how much I love horse racing because of the mortality rate due to breakdowns. Just a few weeks ago I was watching the Saranac Stakes at Saratoga when The Big Torpedo took a misstep you knew was bad. He remained stable until that hoof hit the ground again and down he went, taking another horse with him. The other horse was fine but The Big Torpedo was euthanized on the track. It broke my heart into pieces.
That was some gallop from risey in the arena. ❤ no wonder Bauke got the other side of the fence😂. Risey was definitely helping his girlfriend Yfke to keep moving, bless him. Im glad we already know that Yfke is ok. Much love to you all and the horses of stal h. ❤❤❤
Every time one of the horses has a problem, my heart skips a beat. Yvonne, you have so many followers who love you and the horses. Remember always, you are not alone❤
Thank God Yvonne, that you know horses so well and know right away when something is not right and act on it immediately. Poor Yfke...sweet girl. All will be well again.❤
just like us humans, when feeling bad we want to lay down but for her its not a good idea. Poor baby, I have just whispered prayers again watching the video. We all worry with you, you are not alone!!! Prayers continued for you, boss Rein, Risey and Miss Glendy and Fyke. Stay positive and we're all here!!!!!
Cze.
If you are feeding pellets or hay cubes make sure you soak them with warm water first and or could it something in the paddock? I used to have a mare that would literally eat the stickers bushes and then gas colic on me. Still so worrisome because I had to keep her comfortable and not rolling. I did get rid of the sticker bushes near the paddock
Risey being both concerned & careful, he knows something is off & aims to help Yfke. Thankful to know all is well. I suspect the wet grass and/or something wrong with the water. All must be tested at this point.
Yay Risey, that was a very good gallop! Keep Yfke moving! We (The Herd) love Yfke. Colic is always a mystery, but we just want Yfke to recover and show out because she is perfectly lovely and loved.❤❤❤
Poor Yfke!! It is so horrible to see her in pain. I really wish that horses could be sick or at least burp to release trapped wind. Sadly they are not designed that way. Colic is such a painful and dangerous condition. Over many years, we have lost 2 previously healthy horses to colic, caused by no apparent reason. Happily, we have also had many other horses that made a full recovery! The crazy thing was when a greedy, half Shetland pony called Cat Weasel untied himself and ate 2 lbs of 90% Pork sausages, left on a wall to cool. He also licked ALL the grease from the hot pan... Obviously we were terrified he would get colic - but amazingly Cat Weasel had absolutely NO side effects at all. In fact many hours later that day, he tried to craftily steal another sausage from my little sister's hand, with no success thankfully. NB: Sausages are Dangerous for horses to say the least. Their gut is not designed to digest fatty meat.
I am so sorry, Yvonne. This must be particularly distressing for you to go through a 3rd time, especially since Queen 👑 Uniek's passing earlier in the year. You are so kind to share both the ups and the downs with us. I know that you have done and are doing everything you can for your precious horses ❤. I am so very thankful you are in charge! God bless you!❤❤❤
What really made me tear up is early in the video when Principe & Yfke are in the arena, after Yvonne has her stand again it’s almost as if Risey keys in on what happened & he helps keep Y on her feet. Horses are such priceless sentient souls and they know when something is off weather it be with a fellow herd member or their 2 legged family you’re such a good boy Risey🤗🥹🖤🧡🐎🔥❤️🩹
Another two videos to go. So hard to watch Yvonne’s sadness and worry. Just as hard to watch Yfke being in pain. We know it does turn out okay in the end ❤ Maybe we learn something from the vet maybe not. At least we know already that it ends up fine. Best we can do is support Yvonne, her expenses are increasing. 💜
Praying for Yvonne to finally catch a break! Enough is enough already. The horses are so lucky to have you caring for them and loving them. I pray the cause of the belly aches can be found.
Awhhh...poor Yfke🥺 What a terribly long two hours that must have been, Yvonne, full of worries and a feeling of powerlessness. Although we know that Yfke will eventually be okay, it is hard to realize what a terrible time you both have been through❤️🩹❤️
poor thing. digestive tract illness/disease of any kind is absolutely miserably painful and debilitating. living with it all my life, i know. im hoping here that being 2 more parts to this story all ends well. GOD BLESS YFKE!!!!!!!!!! HI RISEY
Poor Yfke so sorry for your pain. Risey was wonderful helping her to walk about and protecting her. It must be that particular pasture that's caused all this woe as the others are okay (touch wood). You and the vets always do your best to bring them back to health. Maybe hay in the arena for a while? You'll know best. 💕💕👍🍀🐎
Yfke CAN'T be sick 😭😭. She's our bestes girl. I know Collick isn't good. I hope the vet gets there soon. I'm as worried about her as you and many others. 😍😍
Oh dear. Poor Yfke. I hope the answer to these illnesses is discovered soon. Queen Uniek was first and now there have been others. 🤔 im thinking its something outside too. Be well, sweet Yfke. ❤
Maybe Risey's disadvantage with his wobbler makes him feel more sensitive to Yfke's pain and discomfort. What a great support buddy you are being! Keeping Yfke on her feet, Goedzo!
Heart breaking. Thank you for letting us know she will be OK. Even though the video is from a previous date know there are prayers for you and your herd. ❤️
Poor poor Yfke two horses in a row not good I hope after she gets feeling better everything goes better for the horses god bless u Yvonne you do so well taking care of your horses 😢
I am not a veterinarian but my reading suggests what you already know and others may have written. Generally, the kinds of grasses; the sudden change of feed material; the amount of green grass eaten and the frequency of change cause these problems. But the frequency of this problem occurring suggests it is what is happening there! You are on top of it, good luck!
The fact that Rentje and her daughters have been ill makes me think that they are genetically more sensitive perhaps to too much rain in the pasture, or to unbalanced temperatures, one of the most unusual things this year is the weather. I would try to keep them inside or avoid the pasture until the situation returns to normal. And I hope with all my heart that it does not happen again 🙏🏻
Oh sweet Yfke giving your mem a run for her money 🙈our 4 legged family members absolutely know how to scare the living daylights out of us but with a guardian like Yvonne the herd couldn’t be in more capable loving hands. Oh that look of worry on Yvonne’s face went straight to the heart it’s so hard when our furries are not feeling well especially bc they can’t talk & say “this hurts on a scale of one to ten”❤️🩹🖤🥹we love you Yfke.
It's so horrible to watch, it must have been very worrying for you Yvonne, not forgetting Yfke's pain too. I'm glad we know you had a good outcome and Yfke is ok because otherwise it would be unbearable to watch the video. Take care.
You can tell Risey's worried about her.
I love how Risey watches over her.
I ❤how Risey is like, “Keep moving my friend” hopefully Yvonne and her team will be able to find the cause soon🙏🏼
🧡🧡
Risey being there helped Yfke to move. I'm sure that he knew something was wrong, so he did his best to help out. ❤
Risey appears to want her to move. Blomke looking over at her. Must be silent communication. 🐎
Poor little Yfke and Yvonne.... I'm very glad her stall is next to Risey so she can be watched over by her. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Good job Risey, keeping Yfke moving. I think he sensed something wasn't going well for his best friend.
Risey is helping all he can!
Are there growing plants in the pasture, which are not good for horses?
Risey feels how he can help Yfke. He is a super friend for her.
Poor Yfke! Yes, it is awful to see her in pain like this! 😢
I can't believe this is happening yet again. I would suspect it's something in the pasture, but Risey is fine, and so are Saly, Coralle and their foals. Could this be limited to where Yfke, Reintje and Baukje go when they're outside?

Good Risey kept Yfke company while she had to keep moving in the arena.
He is indeed a prince! 👑❤️🥰
I think Risey is trying to to help Yfke to move, too. It’s SO scary. 🙏🏻🐴🙏🏻🐴💗🙏🏻
Poor little Yfke. Thank goodness you and Risey were there to help her, Yvonne xxxxx
Risey is racing around like a nervous boy!
I'm sure he could feel the tension in the air plus, of course, the activities going on were way outside being normal.
Risey is such a good friend to Yfke. He stays close by and seems to be concerned about her.❤
That was some gallop from risey in the arena. ❤ no wonder Bauke got the other side of the fence😂.

Riisey is so sweet ❤❤❤! And beautiful too!⭐️🤩
I can see Risey is worried about his friend, Yfke.
Thank you Yvonne for being so kind and loving to your horses.

Goedzo, Risey! What a sweet companion he is to Yfke. Their relationship is special, and especially important right now! She needs him. ❤
Risey please keep Yfke moving! Time to call the vet, if you are having multiple horses I would check your feed.

It's bad when your horses are in pain😔But you are trained and realize very quickly that you need help.🌻
Sweet how Risey was helping to give his best friend emotional support and encouragement in keeping moving around in the arena.

Full telepathic communication. Impressive. They teach us
The wait is long but at least the companionship of Risey is helping to distract Yfke and makes her move.
We love you Yvonne...your instincts, your love and compassion, passion, and commitment to your beautiful horses ❤❤❤
So right❣️

Bless you Yvonne and Bauke❣️ I hope that the 2 of you can grab some time for yourselves.
Thanks!
Thank you!
Praying for Yvonne to finally catch a break! Enough is enough already. The horses are so lucky to have you caring for them and loving them. I pray the cause of the belly aches can be found.

Thankfully, Yfke has you looking after her❤
She couldn't ask for anyone better ❤❤❤
Ohhhh no. Get Well Soon Yike ❤❤❤❤

Keeping you in my thoughts 🙏🏽💯🫶🏼
Poor Yfke so sorry for your pain. Risey was wonderful helping her to walk about and protecting her. It must be that particular pasture that's caused all this woe as the others are okay (touch wood). You and the vets always do your best to bring them back to health. Maybe hay in the arena for a while? You'll know best. 💕💕👍🍀🐎
Poor Yfke. Hopefully it goes well
Yfke CAN'T be sick 😭😭.
Ohh keeping my fingers crossed for Yfke!
Maybe Risey's disadvantage with his wobbler makes him feel more sensitive to Yfke's pain and discomfort. What a great support buddy you are being! Keeping Yfke on her feet, Goedzo!
It's so painful to watch someone you love suffer. It doesn't matter if it humans or animals, ee hurt for them.
We are all here with you, Yvonne. This must be agonizing. Sending healing thoughts and ❤ and hoping all goes well.
Sweet Risey helps to keep Yfke moving. I hope everything ends up being alright.
Danke!
That is so kind of you!!! It really really helps Yvonne
Thank you for your generous donation.
Thsnk you so much, Claudia❤️🌷
Even though we know that Yfke recovers, it is so hard to see her in such pain and discomfort! ❤🐴❤
😢Oh Yfke😢
Wise move Bauke!
Ach wat sneu❤
I hope Yfke gets better soon! 🩷
😢Efke. It must be the wet grass in the pasture. Hoping for dry days and sunshine ☀️
Poor little Yfke! She didn't know why you were making her walk. Who knows what she was thinking at that time in her pain. 😖
Thank you for sharing with us. I think sweet Risey was worried too. ♥🐎
Poor Yfke...heart breaking to look at it ..😢
Poor Yfke, and poor Yvonne! 🥹💜
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Heart breaking. Thank you for letting us know she will be OK. Even though the video is from a previous date know there are prayers for you and your herd. ❤️
Poor poor Yfke two horses in a row not good I hope after she gets feeling better everything goes better for the horses god bless u Yvonne you do so well taking care of your horses 😢
All the best to you and all your family of horses 🐎🐴❤💖🥰 with all my love to you all. 🙏🏻💪🏻💕

I am not a veterinarian but my reading suggests what you already know and others may have written. Generally, the kinds of grasses; the sudden change of feed material; the amount of green grass eaten and the frequency of change cause these problems. Poor Yfke! ❤
🙏 for Yfke.
I’ve had the same inclination. That’s assuming that what they had is different from what affected Queen Uniek.
@@Historian212 That same thought also crossed my mind.
🧡🧡Yfke🧡🧡
I can see on your face how powerless you feel. My dog just had to have a major operation and the waiting beforehand was numbing.
❤❤🐎❤❤
Две лошадки 👍🐎🐎🐎
Poor Yfke! Sending lots of love and prayers to her and Yvonne for a speedy recovery and the answer and solution to what is causing this !
I hope little Yfke will be okay, Risey's pal. Love to all.

Arme Yfke 🙏😢 niks erger is te zien dat je paard pijn heeft !
❤BLESSINGS❤
Let's send good thoughts for Efke while we wait to see how it goes. Risey and Blomke are helping her with support I'm sure. 🙏💗🐴
It's so horrible to watch, it must have been very worrying for you Yvonne, not forgetting Yfke's pain too. I'm glad we know you had a good outcome and Yfke is ok because otherwise it would be unbearable to watch the video. Take care.
