It's so scary, how quickly an animal's health can deteriorate with certain conditions. If only we could get them to clearly signal us, as soon as they feel discomfort or pain. Instead we have to watch them like a hawk to not miss any little sign 🫣
Yes, Yvonne, be patient with yourself, especially when you are tending to sick horses or children, and have had little sleep. Even us without a brain injury, we will have difficulty putting the words together, and in our native language.
You have come very far in the time since your accident. Hard work, a supportive environment and your stubborn nature have all helped. We love you and your videos even as you worry about your English and cognitive issues. I hope that the rehab can help you make things a little easier.
You said cognitive perfectly. You are very watchful of your herd, so you immediately notice that Baukje isn't feeling well. I'm so glad you got her to the vet right away. We know she's okay because you told us previously that she is. Thank God. Thanks for sharing with us the good and the bad--the reality of keeping horses.
Seeing Baukje clearly in pain brought tears to my eyes. I'm glad you edited this video to end with Baukje back home, looking, and feeling better! For the viewers, the heartache and worry lasted minutes, but for you it lasted days, Yvonne. Hugs!!! Your English is fantastic! Your videos show how much work you put in to explain and inform your "herd" to what is happening in your life and with your lovely horses! Praying for you in your accident recovery, for the health and happiness of family, friends, and Friesians!! I'm so very happy you're alive and here!!
I am so very proud of Reintje, how she stayed calm and let every help her foal. So very, very, very scary after losing Uniek not long ago. My heart aches for you, Yvonne. 💔 I would have fallen apart and been hysterically crying. Your strength is amazing.
You can tell Baukfe doesn't feel well .... clinging to Reintje & her facial expression lying on the hay. Good thing she has Yvonne looking after her who doesn't wait to call the Veterinarian!!! ❤❤❤🐴🐴🐎🐎

Watching little Baukje's struggles hurt my heart. Thank the Lord that Yvonne was quick so see something was wrong, and to call the vet. Those intensive care facilities are amazing, and they save many lives. Its wonderful, knowing that Baukje is well, and that she & Reintje are home at Stal H once again. Your videos are so real, Yvonne. You don't gloss over the problems or your fears. This is life with horses. Thank you for keeping us so well informed. God bless you all! 🙏🏼❣️🐴🐎🌺
Baukje is such a pretty and sweet little foal. Yvonne is a natural mom and her instincts are so sharp to pick up when one of her babies is not well. Thank god this worked out well. However, the vet bills must be substantial. I am glad I signed up for the monthly coffee donation a few days ago. I would encourage anyone who is a regular viewer to try help with any donation no matter how small. We all get so much enjoyment from watching Yvonne and her horses and family it is good if we can help out now and then to show our appreciation.
Yvonne I always understand you. Your English is very good! After all you have been through after your fall you are doing miraculously well! The love for your family and horses is such a joy to watch!!!❤
@catsara9114 & @RachelRitzmann-r3g RIGHT?? My friend had a horse we rode every weekend & he was like that. He would wrap his head around her when she hugged his neck & cried. How wonderful to see a foal do it at such a young age ... because they love her so much.
Animals can be so empathetic at times. Some pick up on our emotions and try to comfort us. I know my Maine coon cats do with me. Baukje and Blomke both seem sensitive that way too. What a lucky friend you had to grow up with a horse to lean on So glad Blomke was there to comfort Yvonne. 🐎❤️😻
Even knowing that Baukje recovers, this is a heartbreaking video to watch! It was obvious that something wasn't right. Tears fell when she dropped on the cement! Thanks to the vets who treated her!🥰
Yvonne, your sharp observation of the foals shines through here. Little Baukje would have been so much worse if your instincts hadn’t told you that something was very wrong. You’re an amazing horsewoman xxxxxx

Yvonne, it is understandable why it was difficult for you to post this video. It was gut wrenching and difficult to watch Baukje suffering so much, and how worrisome it was for you. But it was joyous to see how much she had improved and seemed normal a few days later! Yet you also have so many other things going on, other horses, animals, family and yourself to take care of. Your English is great and cognitive is exactly the correct word there. So glad Baujke was okay in the end horses and all our animal friends can cause us so much stress. Foals go down hill so quickly it’s a wonder they ever survive. ❤❤.
Baukje looked so happy to be home with mama Yvonne. It seemed she was saying “thank you for fixing my belly.” Praying for a future of healthy animals and humans at Stahl Horjus.
Dear Yvonne, you are a golden woman you control so many different things with a rare excellence you spend so much time taking care of your animals that you are able to see at first glance that something is wrong This is also why they trust you so much, they know they are safe Of course it is the same with your family This is why we, your spectators, are loyal to you and always more numerous Don't change anything
Don't worry, you're doing great! You're English is excellent, just take your time..Love your videos with your beautiful Horse Family and, of course, your Human Family..❤Prayers for you..🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️🌟🐴🐴🐴🐴
Don't forget Yvonne Is a skilled dressage rider too! Plus a lovely wife and mother. She manages all of this in spite of dealing with residual problems from a serious riding accident. You are our hero!
Risey and Yfke are teenage besties: They bicker sometimes, but ultimately they stick together through thick and thin ❤ Now watching the rest of the video. My heart is in my throat for Baukje...
Horses!!! Make you old sometimes but on the flip side is the ultimate joy they give us. Grateful Baujke looks so good after this ordeal. The sweetest is when both foals nuzzle up to Yvonne. It’s the best!
Thank you, Yvonne. Remember, we all have, or will have, something. Mine’s epilepsy. You’re doing your best, your English is great; remember how far you’ve come! We think you’re great!
Absolutely. Yvonne is such an inspiration to me. Following a car accident my health is deteriorating. What an incredible woman, wife, mother & equestrian Yvonne is. Her English is fantastic. Above all, I love her commitment to her beautiful horses. Yvonne, you are force of nature and an example of love & caring to us all. Much love to you, your family (4-legged & 2)❤
Anyone who has ever had children knows how quickly they can get sick out of nowhere. It occurs to me that it is the same with Horses. They're fine until they're not. I'm just glad that Yvonne has her Friesian Horses in the Country that basically created them. Excellent Vets & Emergency Clinics are nearby. A sick Foal could not be in a better place. Thankfully, Yvonne can spot the signs of illness right away, and she knows exactly what to do. Goedzo, Yvonne! 🦸♀️ + 🐎 = Yvonne Horjus 👁 💙 Friesian 🐎🐎🐎 Channel!!!
Yvonne, life with horses is a daily microcosm of a full lifetime - all the joys and sorrows at the same time. As we get older, we learn this is what life is and all we have is each other and love. You are a walking miracle, and I thank you for sharing all of this with us. Huge Hugs from your human herd.
They are very lucky to have such a good mom who watches over them so carefully. I'm so glad Baukje is ok. I know it wasn't easy going back to the clinic after losing Uniek. It holds bad memories. But, this turned out great because of you catching it so quickly and the good vets at the clinic😊

Poor, sweet, beautiful Baukje. I am so glad that she has weathered this storm in her short life. She looks so much better and more alert and bright in the end of the video, as does Yvonne
Oh, little, sweet Baukje. She is so young and just adorable. She seems so vulnerable and it just breaks your heart. Thank God Reintje is experienced! What a wonderful mama! 🥰
23:08 I'm so sorry, Yvonne. I was a rehabilitation nurse for 21 years. I worked with head injuries, so I know that it is very frustrating for you to struggle with your cognitive problems. I'm sending prayers that they can help you. I am impressed with how well you are speaking English. Keep up the good work. I'm so glad that Baujke is doing better.
OMG I wanted to leap into the screen and give a big hug of support ,through all this stress and worry. It never just rains for Yvonne it always seems to pour. This is a Aussie saying we have when things a going wrong. My heart is so happy that it all worked out this time. Such bad memories for you having to go the emergency vet clinic again. You always try your best to explain in English for us, which is appreciated from the bottom of my heart. I send you strength and love for next week at the rehab clinic. 🌻 Looking forward to seeing Belle strut her stuff, with those beautiful long legs from her MUM. 🥰

It's completely natural you would worry after leaving Uniek there and getting the awful phone call that she was worse. In English, we have a saying: "no news is good news". Hopefully Baukje will recover under yours and Reintje's loving care.
Ja (huis)dieren houden je lekker bezig he!
Poor Baukje-- she must have been in so much pain to be acting so strangely. It is hard to watch even now, even knowing that it turns out ok. Poor little girl, and poor Yvonne with all the worry! Carrots coming your way.
Our 4 legged family members always seem to know exactly how to scare the living daylights out of us & keep us awake worrying especially when they are experiencing immense pain I’ve been through something similar with 2 of my dogs spending nights up with them trying to manage their pain and it’s not something I’d wish upon anyone it’s beyond scary. Yvonne is one of the strongest most bad ass women I’ve ever seen and though no doubt this brought memories of dear Uniek racing back she took this all in stride immediately making sure to get B the help she needed.

Baukje looked so happy to be home with mama Yvonne. It seemed she was saying “thank you for fixing my belly.” Praying for a future of healthy animals and humans at Stahl Horjus.
You are so wise to see a possible problem and take action. So much admiration for your stewardship of these horses!
Came to the comments right away to make sure she was OK. Poor little sweetheart ❤
Dear Yvonne, you are a golden woman
you control so many different things with a rare excellence
you spend so much time taking care of your animals that you are able to see at first glance that something is wrong This is also why they trust you so much, they know they are safe
Of course it is the same with your family
This is why we, your spectators, are loyal to you and always more numerous
Don't change anything
Don't worry, you're doing great! You're English is excellent, just take your time..Love your videos with your beautiful Horse Family and, of course, your Human Family..❤Prayers for you..🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️🌟🐴🐴🐴🐴
Danke😊
Don't forget Yvonne Is a skilled dressage rider too! Plus a lovely wife and mother. She manages all of this in spite of dealing with residual problems from a serious riding accident.
You are our hero!
Risey and Yfke are teenage besties: They bicker sometimes, but ultimately they stick together through thick and thin ❤
Now watching the rest of the video.
Your English is wonderful, Yvonne! You never have to apologize for it!

I just want to hug Baukje and hold her tight. So happy she is fine and home.❤
Big sigh of relief about BK. Hoping you receive a generous harvest that more than covers the vet bills and you get lots of good nights sleep 💤👍🏻👍🏻
Very well said! 🙏🕊️
🎉❤super ausgedrückt ❤🎉 danke😊
I agree and join the human herd hug 💜
Bless you Yvonne your English is amazing. Please don’t worry about that with all you’re going through ❤❤❤
How smart Reintje is! She knows the humans are helping❤
Keeping all of you in prayers💜🙏🇺🇸
Blomke is a cuddlebug just like Lianne used to be ❤😂🎉😊😊❤
They are very lucky to have such a good mom who watches over them so carefully. I'm so glad Baukje is ok. I know it wasn't easy going back to the clinic after losing Uniek. It holds bad memories. But, this turned out great because of you catching it so quickly and the good vets at the clinic😊
🧡🧡So many SuperThanks in the comments!! Thank you to you ALL!! We try to respond to each one individually but just in case any are missed (under any video) PLEASE know how much it is appreciated! If you can't give...no problem!! Watch and like the videos, and leave Yvonne a nice comment about Baukje. 🧡🧡🤗🤗🧡🧡
Th❤❤❤ank you
Having animals it’s always something! Thank goodness there are more good days than bad! Praying for swift recovery!
Wow, Baukje trotting into the stable? What a difference from 2 days earlier when she didn’t even want to walk. Thank goodness. ❤️
It's always hard when one of your babies gets sick, especially the really young ones. Praying ❤😊❤😊
Poor little baby Baukje! I don't even like to see my chickens hurt or sick. Yvonne, you are the best, most attentive horsewoman.
I am so thankful for your vet. 💋
They were awesome❤❤❤
23:08 I'm so sorry, Yvonne. I was a rehabilitation nurse for 21 years. I worked with head injuries, so I know that it is very frustrating for you to struggle with your cognitive problems. I'm sending prayers that they can help you. I am impressed with how well you are speaking English. Keep up the good work. I'm so glad that Baujke is doing better.
Yvonne, don't worry about things getting lost in translation. You've said it beautifully. And always go with your instincts. Better than being sorry.
Poor little Baukje ❤, so sad to see her this way😢.
I also liked how easily Saly accepted Yfke to be her and Blomke's neighbour. ❤
Looking forward to seeing Belle strut her stuff, with those beautiful long legs from her MUM. 🥰
She worries about her English 😅 but she shouldn't! She knows enough to inform us about everything we need to know!
PS
Gilt😊, nicht " nur" für Schlosser😊
Gott, sei Dank😇
I love how sweet Blomke is--standing next to Yvonne and comforting her with Blomke's supercuteness.
Poor little Baukje!
I’m so glad we know she is ok
Reintje was so calm while things were going on.
Yes, wasn't she amazing 😍
Thank God, indeed! It's so wonderful to see Baukje prancing happily back to the barn and to see the smile on your face again! What a HUGE relief!
I'm so happy Baukje is doing fine. I gasped when she sunk to the ground. Good on you for noticing her discomfort right away.
I am so happy Baukje is back home and doing better .
It's completely natural you would worry after leaving Uniek there and getting the awful phone call that she was worse. In English, we have a saying: "no news is good news". Hopefully Baukje will recover under yours and Reintje's loving care.
Ja (huis)dieren houden je lekker bezig he!
28:36 Wow, what a difference! She feels so much better! 🧡🧡
Yvonne you are doing a wonderful job with English and with the horses. Keep it up
Poor Baukje-- she must have been in so much pain to be acting so strangely. It is hard to watch even now, even knowing that it turns out ok. Poor little girl, and poor Yvonne with all the worry! Carrots coming your way.
It such a relief to know she is fine now, but what a scary day! 🧡🧡
Poor little Baukje! I am praying for all of you!❤❤❤. Your quick thinking saved this precious baby! Hugs Yvonne.
I'm so sorry you are going through this again. Prayers for peace and comfort to you and your babies.
It was SO very encouraging, such a relief, to see Baukje nursing in the trailer...
She is such a YOUNG filly!
🐎🍼
I'm so glad Baukje is doing better! 🐎♥
I love how there were welcoming neighs from the herd. Tough to see a little one in distress. Great job Yvonne.
Yes, Yvonne is amazing.🐎❤
