My beagle barks or howls when he hears a noise in the hall and barks at some people and doesn't do well alone. He really loves kids.
They are the best and easy to train you just want to give them a little time to get it down plus they are the best cuddle dogs
Our beagle 13 inch isn’t a barker, he barks at my wife or myself if we don’t feed him fast enough. There were 6 deer in front of our home all that he did was watch them walk down the street. Not a sound. He came to us at 10 weeks crate and litterbox trained. He also doesn’t dig holes in our back yard. He just turned 3 years old at the end of January. My wife walks him at least an hour in the morning and sometimes almost 2 hours at times. He is such a good dog. We take him everywhere we can and have done this since he came to us. He doesn’t get any junk food and is not overweight. He’s a chick magnet, a babe hound, and a rock star wherever we take him.

He shouldn't be a chick magnet. He is a person magnet. When you have a wife you're not allowed to call your dog a chick magnet. It's disrespectful to your wife. You shouldn't be considering your dog to be a chick magnet if you don't need a chick magnet. Spend more time with your wife.
My two Beagles got out last week (our house and yard is a Beagle High Security Fortress, it was human error). Four hours later, they were brought home in the back of a police cruiser… in hand cuffs. Cop put one end of cuff through their collar, the other end on a seatbelt.
They actually made the Police Blotter in our town newspaper.
Luckily, we live in a small town where the cops are cool and most people know everyone else.
My 2 year old Beagle hardly barks even when he was a puppy. He’s very chill but gets tons of exercise. My 4 month old Beagle is the opposite. He barks and it’s loud but he’s just a happy puppy.

My beagle never barks unless it’s scared of something or some voice. Never howls, but makes different type of sounds if it’s hungry or needs to go outside.

My dog is not old enough to go on walks so we exercise inside with toys she follows me with them! My dog will be 4 months in March 11 she can take walks that old it is a beagle! I have never been this active before which is good because I’m almost with diabetes so this is good for me! But she likes to bite a lot.. I have bruises ALL over my arms she keeps sniffing my shirt and bites my OWN hair and will try to get my moms shoes we need your help Beagle Care! This beagle is out of control!!!!

Beagles will dig under a privacy fence. I had to line the inside with bricks and add extra barriers at the gates. Best dog ever, but too loud.

Seriously, if your Beagle is not eating, there is a medical issue. You need to take her to the Vet right away.
I’m not sure what “human dewormer” is, but never give your pet any meds made for humans. Even though it may sound the same, human dewormer and dog dewormer could be, and most likely is, very different. Med for humans can contain way too much for a dog, human meds may contain active and inactive compounds that could kill a dog.
And don’t ever try to diagnose your dog’s medical issues, and never try to treat their issues your self.
Take her to a Vet, the Vet will diagnose your dog’s problem and treat it. I promise you, once your dog recovers from whatever illness it has, you will have NO trouble getting a Beagle to eat.

can beagles be trained not to bark?
Well, it's how they communicate. So no beagle should not be trained to not bark. But you can definitely teach them to stay quiet on your command. ua-cam.com/video/hX9dfrlMsjg/v-deo.html
I disagree about not being good guard dogs. I have two Beagles, if someone is in our yard (or on the street, or across the street, or flies over in a plane), they make so much noise barking, yelping, and baying, that I don’t think there’s a burglar on earth who’d be crazy enough to break into our house.
Now, of course if they were brave enough to break in, once they were inside the house the only way my dogs might hurt him is by running to get a toy and sprinting back to give it to the burglar… they might knock him down by jumping on him giving him a toy. Then he may get a few scratches as they jump on him to play… because my dogs will not let me trim their nails. 🫤
Start with a fence, then every time your dog find a new way to escape, find out how he did it, and fix that weak point… then repeat that process about twenty times, then sooner or later you’ll have so Beagle-Escape-Proofed your yard that your dog can definitely no longer find a way to escape… at least for another week.
