@@thomasjones4570 Actually, if I recall, while the large-scale disasters were in front of crowds, and the crowds saw the guys go to "ground zero", the actual final battles took place in private. Amen my GB brother!
It does? Saying "they claim they saved the world, with no witnesses" yet BOTH times in BOTH movies in was in front of massive crowds with TV cameras filming them...
@thomasjones4570 yes and both accounts i believe had people trying to make them out to be lunatics i may need to rewatch the movies for the 50th time tho lol
@@thomasjones4570 Actually, if I recall, while the large-scale disasters were in front of crowds, and the crowds saw the guys go to "ground zero", the actual final battles took place in private. No one else saw Gozer up there on the top of the building. All the crowds saw was the guys go in, a giant marshmallow creature appear, walk to the same place, then explode, and the guys step out covered in melted mallow. No actual eyewitness of the extermination or clear definition of what exactly Gozer or the marshmallow man are, or proof that they weren't a product of the guy's "special effects". Similar in the second, everyone saw the things going on outside, but they didn't see the actual Big Bad or his destruction/sealing.
So yeah, no eyewitnesses. Aside from two people who were unconscious and whose memories included themselves turning into dogs.
@@broEye1 Didn't they walk the actual statue of Liberty down the streets of new york in the second one? Like surely someone could've confirmed that THE ACTUAL statue of Liberty had gotten up off that island and started moving. Should be proof enough

@@r13hd22 Then don't watch it I guess
@@r13hd22 To me is kinda refreshing to see the old team combined with a new generation of Ghostbusters
@@StarwebsI would feel the same if the old team was given a decent script and the new team were actual adults.
@@r13hd22Thing is, this team will eventually be adults and they'll eventually have to hire people if it keeps going. Wait for Ghostbusters 8 when a middle aged Phoebe and 100 year old Winston have to hire 3 new recruits because everyone else left.
I feel as much attachment (sometimes even more) for Ray, Venkman, Spengler (RIP), Winston, Janine, Louis and even Dana Barrett as I do for some of my family members, so this opportunity to share a new adventure with some of them after so many years makes me a little more emotional than it should. I feel like shouting out to them: I love you guys!
Now this is how you keep the Ghostbusters franchise alive by continuing the story of the old characters and merging them with the new characters. This is what all us GB fans wanted! Not some reboot. Look at this movie, we're back at he firehouse with a new Ecto-1, new GB tech, a new ghost threat, a bigger team and SLIMER! I am beyond excited!

THE LIBRARIAN GHOST, ELEANOR TWITTY!!!!!! 🤯👻💜
Yep and it appears lots more inspiration I see was taken from the 2008 video game. Such as the library appearance is heavily inspired by the video game. Then the lion statue that is also loosely inspired as well by the game. That ghost being captured by the drone trap also appears to be a heavily inspired animator from the library chapter of the video game.
