Have You Ever Heard a Porcupine Mating Call? Listen to This!!

Have you ever heard a porcupine scream? I believe this might be a mating call, because porcupines seek out a mate in the fall. I was watching this porky lying in the forest today when he suddenly called out. He listened for a while and then went back to sleep.

Yup. That's it alright. There are some friendly porcupines here that come in my house. One of them, name Chonkers, will sing that awful song just before he stands up and pees everywhere. He's a very nice porcupine, but that particular behaviour is less than desirable.
