Hahahaha this is sooo funny! I agree with you, it's not about a heavy hand, because writing brush lettering is all about pressure. I work with brush pens all the time and this was just so funny.

I swearrrrrr by my yoobi dual tipped markers. I have never had any issue with them and I have a lead hand. I can’t even write with a pencil without breaking the lead immediately but my yoobi’s have never let me down! I see the comments have mixed reactions, I’d say that company production is not consistent which is unfortunate because when they are good they are really good but apparently when they’re shit they’re really shit. Anyways, just found your channel and you’re super entertaining!! New subbie!! 💕💌🖋
The only reason the red wasn’t as saturated was becuase when u broke the nib, u took a napkin and tried to pull in out which resulted in most of the ink coming out on the napkin

These pens are good for school use and lettering practice, such as doing headers for your notes. Also, they are cheaper.
It is not your hard handedness. I am lighthanded and this just happens with cheap brushmarkers. Tip: pull the tip out with pincers, so you don't waste the ink.

I have them and I have a heavy hand but they don’t push in I think it might be that they make them inconsistently
I hate doing this but I have had the same markers for over a year and they have never pushed in and I love these pens. Heavy hand or not don't push them in.
They're for bullet journaling and such, not the best for lettering with a heavy hand. ❤ So, I'd use the brush nib for filling in small spaces or wider areas in colouring, if you're not into journaling.

Just work with what you have. In time you'll get what you need, but for now you've got something that works. It's a marker and it doesn't need to be pushed down with excessive force. Perhaps a different outlook and a more preventative habit is more of a necessity.

Andy Michael Madrona The kind of pressure that's required to flex these pens will hardly result in a callous. I'm any case, the point of the video was to determine whether these inexpensive, easily sourced pens were an acceptable substitute for the more expensive ones. I mean, if all someone wants is something they can draw the letter shapes with and then fill them in, any marker will do.

@@mikeycityify I did not put a lot of pressure when using these - but with time, I have only a few colors from Tombow and is happy with it. Crayola markers are actually pretty good and I have a lot of those around.

So fun fact yoobi in a sense is a knockoff brand. For example when you said they look a lot like the tombow brush pen that’s not a coincidence. I recently bought a pack of pens from them only to have the same problem you had and come to find out the pens I bought were a knock off brand of Kaco pens. So if you experience malfunctioning from this brand that’s not a coincidence.

I bought these too and had exactly the same experience!! You have to press down on brush pens to use them at all. So sad! I was so hopeful for nice affordable brush pens, but no they're bad 😔
I'm not super heavy handed, and I had the exact same issues.
... Maybe the are just for coloring ... any way I have no idea because I don't own any brush pen ... but yes you're right if you spend your money in something you expect them to work. I was a funny video any way :)

damn it. i just bought these & now im scared to try them
these are the kind of markers/pens I would buy for someone that's in middle school and into bullet journaling, that has seen a tombow but you don't want to spend that kind of money on a 6th grader that might give it up in a week...like dollar store make up...it's so cheep it doesn't matter kind of deal.
I guess this is why Tombow is not is not worried about them stealing their look. other than cap shape those look so like Tombow. lol
