- PC has been one of the most prominent gaming platforms for quite a while, but it has seen a rapid increase in popularity over the last couple of years. And that essentially boils down to a couple of things including but not limited to first-party games making their way to the platform.
Of course, there’s a certain flexibility that you get when you play on a PC - and you can crank the visual fidelity of games up to eleven provided that you have a capable hardware. I even enjoy single player and story games at 30fps. sure 60fps is smooth and good but it's not like 30fps is unplayable as spoiled pc brats claim. I bet most of them don't own top tier gpus but yet, they keep dreaming of playing at u4k/120fps ultra. I own pc but tbh, all pc gamers(most of em) care about is playing games at ultra(take minecraft for example) but when it comes to real gaming experience , they lack lots of things. even ps5 graphics is 4k/ultra+high +medium according to digital foundry. imho, games were made to play and enjoy stories so even 30fps can give you a satisfying experience. i'm not into online gaming tho. And yes, PC gamers aren't really gamers who actually want high graphical games, most of em only want more fps instead which makes no sense. every game has story mode and 30-60fps are fine and ultra only eats vram otherwise there's no significant difference between high and ultra in games
@@InsidePlay2023 I got a 4090 it's amazing but! Without consoles there's no competition and I wouldn't have gotten horizon and forbidden West on PS5. I play on both I know I'm hated on both sides lol. PC has carnal instinct and soon the Genesis order. Adult RPG games I mean that to those won't be on consoles for a good reason. When I play a game like ghost of tshima on PS5 I'm not counting fps but loving a great next Gen game. I'm a fan of better looking games gen to gen Sony haven't disappointed me in that department. PC used to be the same meat more graphical the game the better. The xbots got PC gamers thinking frames.are.better over gameplay and graphics. The bulk of the games.on of that ive noticed are indie games and not even good looking indie games for some reason PC players seem to hate great amazing games it boggles my mind.
if RDR 2 still look this good after 5 years. just imagine what GTA 6 will look like. that December trailer cant come soon enough
I'm a bit skeptical about GTA 6. In some ways, like physics, GTA 4 was actually superior to 5. I'm worried Rockstar will just use GTA 6 as a vehicle for GTA Online 2.0 in order to sell kids more Shark cards.
@@MutedAggressionI respect your view but i don't agree that GTA 4 physics was superior to GTA 5 though. But with that said, the NPC's in GTA 4 absolutly kills the NPC's in Cyberpunk 2077 which is a total failure from Betheda

And judging from the trailer of the new gta 6. I don't think any game will ever come close to looking as good as RD2 atleast for another 5 years or so, not even Rockstar's own new next gens

crazy how RDR 2, a game made from 2018, is still in every list of best graphics. One can only wonder what RDR 3 is gonna look like with better denoising and ray tracing
All I know is that a game can be mediocre in someone’s eyes but as soon as you turn every single or most settings to high the game can now be outstanding. I’m finally playing Arkham knight with everything max out at 4k and physx and omg. I definitely feel like finishing the game now. I’m a sucker for graphics in general.
Graphics can for sure make a "meh" game playable for people who tend to be hardware nerds, or love throwing stress at their systems. A discord group of music festival friends that I hang out with though... they all have high-end PCs and then play shit like golf-it or any other non-taxing game. Feels like a waste to me.
Not only graphics, fps and general absence of stutters plays a huge role in the perception of a game@@SUBtrauma
@@Timurisoverhere well, duh. If the game gets shit fps and has stutters, then the graphics aren't great either. "optimized" graphics means they both look good and function well.
Man, Playing Red Dead Redemption 2 on my new gaming PC with all the settings cranked up to Ultra is incredible. I'm so glad I only played it like 40% on PS4 when it came out because now it's like a whole new game. I've already put 65hrs in I am totally immersed. Bethesda should be taking notes from Rockstar. RDR2 makes Bethesda's open world games feel clunky and unfinished. I wish there were more open world games that felt as alive and vibrant as RDR2
Controls are horrible though. The worst.

Played RDR2 for the first time this week and it looked so beautiful on PC. Probably the best looking game in ever played. The physics also blew my mind away

OBSERVER SYSTEM REDUX still takes the crown IMHO - completely slept on title. The amount of polish in that game is surreal. Also, Detroit becoming human. Insane level of realism, and i played that on a 2080...

Either Red Dead Redemption 2 or Horizon Forbidden West are beautiful crafted open world games with so much of level of detail.
Idk but i think that Lords of the Fallen 2023 has the best graphics. Not in every aspect, but on some places, the graphics are (for me) by far better than anything else i have ever seen for now.
I play it on MAX without DLSS on 2k.
Just bought a ps5 slim… first game I bought was red dead redemption 2!!!!!
Reqiuem is the best looking game i have ever played, looks better than rdr2 and im not sure how gow 2018 is even on this list, plants are very flat on it. I have played 10 games on this list and recommend you play requiem if your just looking for visuals, this video did not do it justice

Im shocked that each of these games are on console. I thought for sure there would be some PC exclusives as pc ppl always talk about how great it is. They are playing the same stuff i am??
PC exclusives are usually strategy/rts mostly due to controller vs mouse&keyboard balance. Other than that, yeah, same games but with the possibility of better graphics and fps. In business terms it doesn't make sense to make PC exclusives, computers don't belong to any one company like M$oft or Sony, and unless you don't have money to make console ports, you don't have any reasons to not do it.

Im not a big fan of ps at all but i got to admit horizon zero dawn on pc looks incredoble and should be on this list. It looks better than witcher 3 next gen for real.

Not sure if you played through it, but coming from a guy like myself that will be quick to say something does not look that great, trust me, I finished it, it's impressive bruh.
@@jimmyharrison5411 I would get AW2 if its a straightforward game for casual gamers you can finish without looking up a guide, like sm2. But I heard you can't get through some puzzles without looking things up, thats a dealbreaker for me, it breaks the immersion

@@SuryaGupta-te7fq Hmm...I'm almost at the end of the game and there were no puzzles stopping me from getting through the game. There were a few hidden chests that I could not solve until I explored more around it, but even those are all optional.
If you haven't played it, compression of these videos absolutely ruin the graphics, because it's so much about the details. There's so many details that make it look so god damn good that compression ruins, especially because there's so much going on on the screen so often. That's also true with the new Avatar game when it comes to graphics, it looks beautiful, but videos of it look kind of bad.
Where is Microsoft flight simulator?
I feel like guardians of the galaxy should be on this list.

@@84bombsjetpack23 doubt it, until cyberpunk 2077 came, ff15 was the bar for graphics. Ff16 on ps5 can already go toe to to with a lot of pc games running at max settings
High unlikely consdering it's used really dated looking rasterized lighting, and its quality is wildly inconsistent. The stop and talk scenes are really static, look oddly lit and look decidely last gen (like FFXIV). Cyberpunk 2077 and Alan Wake 2 are in a completely different league.
The Callisto Protocol and Dead Space remake is not cracked
Hot take: if you can't casually enjoy a game that has mediocre graphics, it's not a good game to begin with.
I used to be a PC gamer all the way, but then bought a PlayStation. PS3 won me over with its BluRay player (a debate that became moot after the rise of Netflix). Long story short, I'd rather upgrade my console every 4-5 years, than buying a new graphics card today, more RAM tomorrow, a new mainboard and processor next week and an entire new gaming rig next year.
Side note: I'm playing Uncharted 4 again on PS4, and that game has aged very well! Should easily earn a place on this list.
99.999999% of gamers don't update like what you stated. It makes zero sense but your point was console vs pc and yes a pc is a little more expensive as the sky is the limit. But the experience is by far superior than console. Midrange graphic cards are by far faster than a ps5. A ps5 is low midrange today.
@@seizonsha I used to upgrade that way, but if you're serious about gaming it makes sense to buy a new Alienware laptop every 2 or 3 years.
The beauty is that if you buy a laptop that's on par with a console that came out a few years ago, you know that most of the games that came out for both platforms will run on said laptop. But not on best graphics.

No real gamers use ray tracing. Why lose half your frames for shadows? Nvidia forced that garbage on us
Speak for yourself. In single player story based games ray tracing add a lot to atmosphere and immersion. Story based games don't need 60fps, 30fps is enjoyable enough

Yeah, I still don't see enough of a leap in graphical fidelity to justify it. I mean, reflections and extra AO or light bounce will be there, but you will only look at them because you're conscious you made that trade-off. Otherwise, they're not important details, nor gameplay-useful effects.
but we miss the detailing the designers include with the game, it is beneficial for games atmosphere
