What is so impressive about Paul and Pete is that they're able to find styles and riffs that fit into the feel/vibes of the effects. They have great feel.
Cool to see my homies from Quebec be featured on your show!!
These sounds like a ton of fun! I really like the pedals that try new stuff!
One of my favourite parts of my Randy's Revenge is the tremolo effect. It's incredibly unique. But you guys really need to learn how to use a ring mod before demoing one. An ideal starting place is to set the frequency knob to the pitch of your lick. Don't solo with them unless you want it to sound like a total wanker. If you want a ring mod to sound both unique and in-sync with your playing, you have to tweak with it and find the sweet spot. People think they're just noise makers, but they're highly musical devices once you get to grips with them. They actually feel like another instrument as it encourages you to play differently, like as if you had a capo, slide, or Ebow.
Fairfield Circuitry pedals are just amazing, crazy & very very cool !
Fantastic demo guys :)
I have The Barbershop on my board at the moment and absolutely love it. You get some absolutely glorious tones with the sag circuit. And The Accountant is lowkey one of the best compressors out there, right up there with the Cali76. Fairfield knows what's up.
Really digging the pedals, great review guys. I hope Andertons keep these in stock for sometime to come.. Imagine these with synths too....
The Friedman + Strat + Accountant combo was such a great tone
I’ve watched this video like 10 times. Such good tones for real 🤟😎🍻🔥💯
These sound really awesome!
The Yamaha just keeps sounding better in every video. And the barbershop od was smokin.
thank you for turning me on to a company from my own hometown! didnt even know they existed, ordering myself a randy's revenge and a barbershop right now!
I really did love these pedals. I wonder if the captain gives Christmas presents to his staff.
All this video did was make me want a Friedman DSM that much more. Crazy good sounding.
True that!
Oooooh the Modele B is NICE!!! Might be having me one of those!!!
Wow fun to see pedals from a company in my neighborhood!!! I was surprised to hear the name of my city, Hull, Québec!!!! Actually, 15 years ago, Hull was merged into Gatineau. This is a small company but their products are really great and different!!!
Good video!!! BTW nice shirt Paul!!!
the irony of a guitar paradiso episode that focuses on pedals and mick's not there. ;-) cool sounding pedals and great playing, as usual.
That Yammer is fricking gorgeous.
I love these pedals! I would definitely love to have the fuzz and compression!!!
killer pedals!
Yay! Paul has a paradiso shirt :) Looks like part of the team now.
If Doc Brown made Marty some pedals
The unpleasent surprise is some kind of Josh homme in a box for the first minute you played it !
I've got the unpleasant surprise and it's awesome!
Missing the company's best pedal:
Shallow Water.
siriusisastar wasn‘t out back then
LOL I grew up with Ricky and his siblings in Cole Harbour, NS. Hull/Gatineau is a long ways from me, but I suppose it could be an homage. Bubbles, Mike Smith, is a talented guitar player. Had his own band back in the 80s/90s.
I love the look of those pedals. The have a pro-but-built-in-my-garage thing going on. :-)
The only ring modulator that ever made sense to me was the MiniFooger with the expression pedal plugged into it, which Chappers and the Captain reviewed a few years ago. Chappers played a simple recurring three-note figuration into it repeatedly and made it sound the most evil, sinister thing ever.
Seeing Pete playing ring modulator jazz with his bud while they both wear Hawaiian shirts lifted my soul, strangely.
this isnt a fair demo because they can literally play 5 metal zones going into 2 miku pedals and make it sound amazing
darkinertia2 you say that like that would sound awesome in anyone's hands
Stephen Barlow thats literally the exact opposite i said lol the joke was that they can play anything and it would sound good
darkinertia2 yeah! And I was making a joke like "5 metal zones and 2 Miku pedals is a great set up!"
I KNOW ITS NOT FAIR TO THE METAL ZONE TO PAIR IT UP WITH A MIKU AND RUIN THAT GREAT TONE THAT COMES OUT OF IT
darkinertia2 the thought makes me laugh.
Lovely shirt Paul
pretty sure randys revenge was a southpark episode
One of those "blame Canada" episodes?
Cool video, interesting pedals.
Have you forgotten to mention that the Randy Revenge Ring Mod has an expression pedal input to do wah things or growl cheetah sounds?
(oops, you did mention CV as control voltage, I just didn't hear about expression pedal feature, which uses that same control voltage input)
Search for: Living Wreck "growl" is done with a ring modulator.
Cheers!!!
best sounding fxs
the low mod' delay is awesome
my guess would be that randy's revenge name is a nod to the sometimes random nature of ring modulators
YAY ITS PETER N PAUL, THE DISCIPLES!
time stamps would be nice, per pedal, in future demos...
that last fuzz thing makes me want to throw my money at the people who make it
hadin101 dude, they're super fun
could you do some bass pedals please especially chorus and delay thankyou
They smashed them with their metal knives!
R2-D2, it is you, It Is You !
finally a shirt for Paul..
How can you go wrong? 2 of the tastiest players ever associated with Anderton's...And likely a couple of really nice guys.
Only problem - Pete and Paul can pretty much make a metal box of rocks sound great. No fair using the Friedman though ;P
Yeah, I liked. :)
I have the accountant and the barbershop on my board. I guess I will also need another Fuzz.
did Mick quit?
You should try to balance the volume levels between the guitars and speech cause it's kind of irritating to have such a huge gap between the levels.. but thats just my opinion, also it is nice to see paul more regularly in the videos!!
Yep, agreed. Paul is such a nice guy - but he's still not got the bromance jam thing going on with Pete in the way Mick Taylor has.
Oof that Revstar is beautiful
where are these guys from? where are you guys from?
Unpainted hammond chassis reminds me too much of all the shitty diy pedals i've made :3
Great demos, but you should've shown the CV capabilities too!
Plain boxes yield reasonable prices for such a small pedal company. Oh and they sound groovy, too.
that Yamaha is not the rs420 because the 420 has a tuneomatic + stop tail bridge
Nuno Silva Hi. It's the RSP20CR
paulhindmarshmusic love that guitar :)
'Member the old guys?
Will the accountant work with a bass?
Yes it works very well with bass
Paaaaauuuuuuuuuuuullllllllllllllllllllll
I BET THAT DELAY WITH THE FUZZ WOULD SOUND REDICULOUS
Cool i live like 30 minutes from hull
Nicholas M no but i should
I am from Hull! Bonjour! Vive le Québec
"Canadians" lololol
first, btw you guy should do how to sound like led zeppelin without busting the bank
Already done, Jimmy Page sounds like. I'm not first comment though :( Wubba lubba dub dub
thnx for telling me
Mission Inshirtable
Area 51 in it's spare time.............
these guys are ridiculously amazing players... they could use a tennis racket plugged into a lawnmower and it would sound killer!
These pedals got "Muse" written all over them !
akash gupta yeah very similar to the fuzz factory Matt uses
Stephen Barlow Thought of that the moment I listened to it
I'm unsubscribing. ?
Fairfield Circuitry are out of their mind with their pedals...they sound good but they are nothing special or unique, the asking price is absolutely stratospheric, I don't even know why people buy them. Chase Bliss pedals are also incredibly pricey, but in comparison their complexity, flexibility, features richness and creativity is absolutely unique and there is nothing like that on the market.
cute boyz
lol, the only one I'd be remotely interested in would be The Barbershop Overdrive, they don't demo it. o.0
The Modele B is exactly the Barbershop circuit
Without the Tone toggle.
third!!!!
Canadians 😂
Definitely not a good example of a ring mod.
Great circuits but they're disgustingly overpriced rip offs. Good thing I've built 3 of them for a few quid
