I can feel the pressure of this video I remembered myself playing on season 4 (first time playing league rank) I was on Silver 1 and one more win to go in Gold but the reality was really sad I already win the game but it was too late for 5 minutes then rank frames was given and I remember the victorious skin it was Sivir. 😞 Sorry for my bad grammar. 🤞
Last year I was so hyped and positive on climbing Challenger rank on Wild rift despite it's shenanigans on ranked game like wintrading. I was able to reach diamond which is a very enjoyable achievement for me then Riot removed the Rank matchmaking and started having unranked and bronze silver teammates. That totally devastated me and made me quit the game. That is the most stupid and disrespectful patch I've ever seen. Now, the game is dying. I may not be the only one who felt that way. We did not play so hard just to be matched by lowranking players. I mean no disrespect to them but there is a proper and fair place from them on ranked
Matchmaking has always been terrible across all rankings but season 11 was something else entirely. I literally got a LvL 36 on my Dia II game. And not even like a smurf god or anything. Just a random dude that spent the last 10 mins apologizing for the jungler gap. This is just the funniest of them all. I could tell you at least 20 other ocasions where matchmaking was just trolling everyone involved.
@@VRDejaVu I can stand that trolling before. I fully accepted it as part of the climb. What really frustrated me is having unranked - gold teammates even if i'am on DIA. I immediately stopped playing after that patch
Although they hotfixed that problem in wr ranked, same cannot be said in normals. Getting winstreaks in normals places you deeper and deeper in loser's queue, which, as an emerald I player, gets you matchmade with gold and silver players at first, which is tolerable, then u get the lvl 10 guy who has only played 5 games and is autofilled jungle but has not opened the tutorial yet, or the bronze III 500 games brand otp with a 45% winrate that only goes mid regardless if their role is jungler/support/top. The bullcrap system has affected me to the point i can only enjoy playing in ranked, in which u get matched based on rank, or aram, in which the same forced 50% winrate is used but is not really that obvious as long as people know how to click spells
@@breaddoggo5485 Though kinda frustrating, those things are kinda okay on Normal since nothing is at staked aside from your time and enjoyment. Rank is totally a different thing since you continuously grind in order to climb. It requires dedication. So for you to have low ranking teammates at mid high elo bypasses all the effort and dedication that you did just to reach your rank. That is a very stupid patch. I really supported WR by playing daily and even buying skins and wild pass but that patch truly made me quit the game.
Damn, that sucks hard... That's like losing to the champion in Pokemon by 1 health, or doing a raid boss but losing because time ran out and they had less than 1000 health left.
for challenger it is different bc you need to finish before the ladder updates so if the final ladder updates and you are not there you are out even if u are in a game and would reach challenger after it
Goes both ways, if he won early/didnt dodge 3x he mighta lost/get overtaken by others. I mean that's just a risk of minute climbing. It happened to me in different games as well because I have medical issues resulting in less gamed played=rush at end. But that also means you will have to deal with what comes with it.

People think competition is all about giving your 100% no matter what. But I don't think it's just that. "It is also victory to know when to retreat." You know fully well you are not gonna make it. You know the other person is going to win no matter what. And yet, the frustration inside of you pushed you to keep going, when you know there's no time. You either accept it and let it happen, or go down with the other person as well. The difference is that one of the two choices benefits to no one, while the other one benefits the other person. Now, why would that be so bad? Why would it be bad if the other person wins? Would that mean all of the effort you made was for nothing? NO, OF COURSE NO! You made a great effort to be where you are and no one is despising... except you are. You feel so bad with yourself for not getting to win this one that frustration takes over you and makes you think you are not good enough. But the single fact that you got to be HERE where only a few have reached to get, you don't know how amazing that is. So... now that you are aware that all what you did didn't go to waste. Take the good choice. Let the other person win. If you can't win, then let someone else (in this case) get to Challenger, before it's too late to choose. Competition is great to push our limits further and prove ourselves we can get to be more, to do more. But let's not forget we're still humans, and sometimes, someone else will be better than us. So.. if this situation happens, why not give them a hand as the human beings that we are?
That's such a bummer for him. What's funny though, is I was just saying basically the same thing about the "Grand Master" sounds better than "Challenger" thing, only with a different game with slightly different but similar titles.

I remembered myself playing on season 4 (first time playing league rank) I was on Silver 1 and one more win to go in Gold but the reality was really sad I already win the game but it was too late for 5 minutes then rank frames was given and I remember the victorious skin it was Sivir. 😞
Sorry for my bad grammar. 🤞
You could have been ep 2 of this saga, you should have streamed it
Johnny felt like he's running for his life, man. This story is beautiful.
It's funny how the Twisted Fate ADC was the MVP of that game lmao
3:14 damn it really be all down hill from there 😭😭😭 I know that feel
Edit: 3:38 LOL welp that be the best feel
jamican banana (ivern main) was also in this game and he was also one win away from challenger- it was depressing to watch.
I just climbed from Iron 1 into Bronze 4 and let me tell you, durring them 5 promotion matches, my nerves were failing me like his.
Hey yo if you have an Iron acc, can I play some games on it? Ill boost it for free.
@@shucayb1532 Nah, i climbed plat and stoped playing :D
6:39 not the twisted fate being rude in the chat, guy called it from the beginning 😂
damn this happened to me but i went from bronze 1 to bronze 3
Why would I ever dream about going through that?
This video made me anxious 😬😬
The challenger solo queue scene seems more rigged than boxing matches at Vegas.
Maybe it’s different for Challenger, but I’m pretty sure that as long as you’re in game before the cutoff time the game will count.
for challenger it is different bc you need to finish before the ladder updates so if the final ladder updates and you are not there you are out even if u are in a game and would reach challenger after it
the way he screamed "noooo ! :(" at 7:29 made me so sad for some reason, poor guy
There would be more happy players if Tyler1 said
Gold 😀
Platinum 😕
I would end up in a mental hospital if my team trolls me in the Iron to Bronze promotion.
Yep if he wanted it he should planed it better
@@doomslayer8025 a bit late here but he made a comment saying he had tennis elbow and that it was too painful to play

I'm in the Bronze for 5 years and I'm happy
People think competition is all about giving your 100% no matter what. But I don't think it's just that.
"It is also victory to know when to retreat."
You know fully well you are not gonna make it.
So.. if this situation happens, why not give them a hand as the human beings that we are?
tyler know how to make people stay positive
That's such a bummer for him. What's funny though, is I was just saying basically the same thing about the "Grand Master" sounds better than "Challenger" thing, only with a different game with slightly different but similar titles.
Riot 1stly should punish those that hostaged intentionally and 2nd give those players the win so they achieve their goal.
this man's journey sum up League of Legends perfectly, lol
fr
i rly dont know why loadingscreens can take longer than 60sec
que time select and loadingscreens often longer than the actual game
9:32 GRAND MASTER!! GRAND MASTER!! thrn says challenger in disappointment 😂
Grandmaster really sounds better than challenger
what a roller coaster ride of emotions
He had the whole season to get there.
I do remember feeling that late season pressure to get into diamond though.
Got in with about a week to go. Never got through the diamond 4 promotions though.
3:58 NOT THE CALCULATIONS LMAO
He is a challenger in our eyes.
And our hearts

Thank you my friend!
pretty sure he's going to get permabanned now for being "toxic" so now it doesnt matter that he didnt get challenger x)
4:50 cant stop laughing with your choice of words xdddddddddddd
the bad and sad part is. he played a lot of games. and if ur a league player you know how painful it is to play with trolles non stop.
And the one who tried will get ban for toxic. And the trolls can go troll next games.
Thank you! Challenger has ALWAYS sounded like the second to last rank instead of the final rank.
This is so funny, amazing video. Didn't know a human's life could be so non-existent.
I remember seeing this live from Tylers POV and hoping so much Johnny got it :( Next season bro!
I honestly feel sad for him, it's a shame the game was stalled, hope he make it this season!
@@kbityy he didnt lol
"This CANT be reeeeeal Bro" is legendary soundclip bro
i mean this isn't a sad story, because remember if he got challanger that would mean someone else would go down to grandmaster instead of challanger

So a typical last minute no clutch, he knew the risk he were taking.
Imagine crying over a video game rank
You don't know the feel. League rank is not just a game
@@heerahyouvraj6878 im league player for 3 years I know the feeling but crying over a rank is really showing the players mentality its not worth crying over it very childish it is a useless virtual rank after all

@@pizzatime9173 Indeed! But will they?
I’m pretty late to this, but this guy actually helped me learn how to play Qiyana
3:45 Instead of doing stupid calculations he could have queue up, play the game and be challenger in time. Two minutes lost could have been avoided.
Dumbass. He need to avoid the troll player who pick zigg jg.
Alright maybe i was too harsh but you were asking for it for saying it as a stupid calculation when the narrator himself said why he didnt continue Quing.
@@Ashpkfmdmdmdmd There will always be trolls in solo queue, you just gotta get used to it, I think, specially when it's the last day of the season with only 1 hour left. Extreme situations require extreme measures. It was his fault anyway, he had an entire year to be challenger.
@@inglestopia bro do you know the average experience League player have with League? It probably several year easy if not half a decade.
If a simple advice as telling people to get used to league toxicity actually help. League wouldnt be considered as toxicity anymore. But is.
You do not just get 'used' to it. Maybe some. But the average joe? You think the community is joking around when we warned to newcomers who are interest to play LoL because they watch Arcane TO NOT PLAY League???
We are not fking around. Maybe 0.1% joke. 0.2% meme. But we are serious telling people to stay away from this game.
This game shit. Toxic community. Unbalance game. Shit tier riot balance team that don't even play their game.

Telling league to get used to the toxicity. Fk off lol.

"Challenger 😐"
I keep bouncing between bronze 2 and 3 so don’t feel too bad, we all have our problems

when you tryna finish your project on a last minute
Same, on a different game, won 8 matches in a row only to lose the last match and lost the chance to climb the highest rank.
Realistically the only thing that I don’t understand is that when you are trying to play 2-3 of the most important games of the season in super super crunch/clutch time that you would expect anything to go any amount of smoothly
i remember when you could decay in any rank, crazy times lol gotta grind to make sure i stay plat this year!!
One of the reasons I never go for Challenger, grand master is perfectly fine and as Tyler said it sounds cooler.
In Brazilian server, happen a simillar thing with a player call Jean Mago, a 15 yo boy wo's trying to get top 1. It was really insane how lol comunity united to help he. Maybe one day you make a video about it.
