for the tri wing screws I used a flat head that fit well enough. Just in case other people feel stuck

Everything I’ve cleaned with is Rubbing/Isopropyl Alcohol!

So I followed your video and the ifixit guide and now my wiiU won’t power up. Any suggestions? Honestly, from my research, think I bricked it but I wouldn’t know how that happened

@@MattPassarelli nope the game pad powers up to the quick menu but the console does nothing. I’ve taken it back apart and put it back together three times now looking for a connector I may have missed

If you remove the cmos battery do you lose data? Is it safe to remove?

The CMOS? No, you shouldn’t. The Wii U (for lack of batter terms) pretty standard solid state memory; I think eMMC. You’ll probably lost date and time settings, but no actual memory or save data.
