    Ibanez: What do you want in your signature bass?
    Thundercat: Everything.

  • @louderthangod

    Can’t think of anyone more deserving than Thundercat for a signature model but this is probably more instrument than most can handle especially the midi. Anyone that can go from Kendrick, Kamasi Washington to Suicidal Tendencies and playing with Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins on his solo project is a legend in the making.

      Yeah, and it’s way too expensive to just go all in and mod it to be your own like I would think to do with something already as crazy as this. Maybe I’ll have to custom order a full thickness, full hollow, arch top 6 string bass and get some funky different electronics too

I mean, it IS impressive to look at but I think it matters a lot more what you do with what you've got. Ive never had any complaints, so no Im not even jealous."

      Pat Gannon Ibanez it's known for two things, very good affordable instruments and very high end custom shop work. It's easy to conflate the two because their affordable range is so good but this is definitely a high end custom and they aren't pushing these specs to mass market.

    Sorry, I had to stop watching this due to a number of factors: Please level the audio in his spoken audio track. It goes from off-axis and low to too loud throughout the 1st 3 mins. 1/4’ jacks are ‘outputs’. It isn’t a “13-pin MIDI”. There is only one pronunciation for “piezo” and a few more things. It all adds to be fatiguing and I can’t assume that the review is either knowledgeable or thorough after so many blunders and the volume shifts are unbearable.

    • @KentBuchla
      @KentBuchla 6 років тому +5

      Complete white noise on your part. Your burst doesn't do anything to improve user experience or the quality of content. "Grown ups", as you like to quip, can withstand constructive criticism. Your retort is facile and reveals far more about your ability to think and communicate than it goes toward displaying and critiquing mine.
      Oh, and if you could spare the time to highlight any place wherein I've been factually inaccurate, that would be splendid.

    I like listening to Nashville guys play because they're the least showy but the most passionate bassists in the world. They don't necessarily go crazy on the fretboard but they bring a feeling and energy to songs that no other genre of bassist can do. I think eventually country bands will consist of a few synthesizers, a studio engineer, a few drum loops and a bassist.
