I can't believe youtube hasn't been recommending Mr. Tim's videos. I'd all but forgotten about this amazing channel. Made my day when I saw this pop up on my recommended videos today! Even more so after watching.
@@colinwood9717 When you've been on youtube since it came out, and have over 100 subscriptions stuff falls through the cracks dude. Doesn't help when you're constantly stoned too. Any other questions?
I see Tim shows a lot of old/seen material. I don't see it as a rehash of old content, I see it as an attempt to categorize his toys and make them context sensitive as if for an interactive encyclopedia of old.
Sometimes we reshoot toys that were previously shot in HD (we shoot in 4K now) and even older videos are in SD (Standard Definition) which does not look so good these days. I think another issue is that while we have over 2 million subscribers, many of our videos get maybe 20,000 views. So it would seem that a lot of our subscribers have missed seeing things. And of course quite a few of our views come from people who are not subscribers, and they may well not have seen previous videos. And yes, Tim does work around themes, so sometimes toys that have been seen before appear again in a different context. Of course, any comments about 'old content' mean that as well as having a good memory, you have been with us for a while, and we thank you for that!
2:40 That is actually a really cool novelty 😃 For what its worth, the actual effect derives from the fact that the glass used has an index of refraction very close to water. Add water, and the light rays are no longer deflected by the interface, and the shamrock and ladybug become visible. Edit: Although the indices of refraction are not quite the same, so we do get some much needed magnification, but not so much divergence as with the air that we can't see it.
These cup are in every single chinese restaurant in my country, but with adult imagery, as far as i remember, i always seen them, my dad laughing everytime that the "pervert cup" arrived...
Same. I personally need to go back over a year. Good timing to have some more viewing as I've realised today i can't afford Netflix until next Tuesday. I digress
Whenever i watch tims videos i remember those childrens videos, literal video tapes, from the 70s i lived at my nans when i was a child and she had all my mum's tapes and they where just do random stuff and it had allsirts on there like claymation, short stories and real people just like tim showing you random cool stuff
I love everything to do with Tim's bits and bobs, they've given me a lot of happiness through the ages. It's sad to see Tim's age start to really show on him, the world is still too young to bear the thought of losing our beloved toy historian.
Looking at some of his videos from over a decade ago one thing is clear...Tim is a highlander. The man does not age. He looks exactly like he did in videos from 11+ years ago!
Not exactly. He's showing a bit of aging but the biggest area is in his energy. Compared to his older content from 5-10 years ago he sounds a bit less focused and definitely a little tired. Still love the man though and not his fault.
When I was a kid we had porcelain water warblers like that but they were only the size of an over-large whistle and only took a couple of teaspoons of water, not a whole cup
I love how at the very end, you so innocently roll the dice just to have the water squashed out of it. I would have been scared doing so knowing in advance what will happen!
Im still haunted by the one time Tim was disappointed with a water absorbent hundred dollar bill. I have never seen him so upset with a toy of any type before or since.
While not done by this channel, there is one out there from a few years back, a British news channel interviewed him and we got to see the stacks of suitcases, labeled by year if I recall, that he keeps everything in when not in use. Should be able to find it if you search for the interview.
I've been following this channel for a long time, years, and recently I've learned that Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman actor) was a collector of odd things like these.

Don't panic! (42).
Yeah I think he's a fan of Douglas Adams
can't believe you got past 42 likes.

Same here, this just randomly popped up and I’d forgotten id subscribed years ago coz it’s never recommended
Same! Its been like 4 years since I watched him and all of a sudden UA-cam reminded me of him again :D

I guess y'all don't ever check your "subscriptions" tab??

I like that view of how you see it. I can agree to that, I love seeing the toys he’s previously showcased, as much as the new ones.
yes, that's generally how he does it--he'll show whatever fits the 'theme'

He must be preserved in carbonite for future generations. I will donate to this cause.
Tim has just recorded an episode on novelty diapers which he will be modeliing...also novelty coffins ⚰️
Is that water from the nile perhaps?
Just add water from the Nile.
the crapshoot prank is hilarious. i think the metal cups would have stood up on their own if you slowly filled them
The stainless steel cup was filled too much. You can see it leaning towards the thin wall, while the empty one is leaning towards the thick wall.
Those cups look annoying as hell 😆
Are they drinking vessels or a physics-based demonstration?

...but not from the Nile. Great video!
Notice how there are no cuts or edits. And probably no script though I guess. Man's is just enjoying with the toys and speaks his heart out.
Glad to revisit this channel after a long time.
Super glad to revisit this channel after 6 years, this channel was NOSTALGIC back when I was a kid
These videos will be a reference for future generations looking up the history of toys for a very very long time. Good work! Very interesting.
We should all feel grateful, he’s essentially sharing his entire life experiences with us all ❤
Omg i love his vids and im glad he's still alive and kicking and doing good❤❤❤❤❤❤
your videos expand my mind and inspire me innovatively.
My favorite Tim on the Internet.
"It shouldnt do that because that's not what things do"
Makes sense
5:37 You're not using it right. You should pour the water without holding it and let the rising water cause the cup to balance itself.
Those cups with the marble in get filled with saki at our local Chinese restaurant

With the first one, the magnet must be on one side and not the middle, hence why the spider rotates
