I am bursting with excitement to see you play with my stuff!! It’s such an honor to be featured in one of your wonderful videos! Thank you for being you Tim🥰🥰
Bismuth is a beautiful element. Those square patterns that you see are completely natural too. That's just one of the odd properties of the metal, when it cools and starts forming crystals it just builds these square designs.
Those cubic patterns are actually the crystaline structure configuration of the atoms which, if grown slowly over time (thermodynamically reversible process) it's visible macroscopically. Most minerals have such repeatable lattice structures with some like diamonds having more than 1 of which can be found in nature in either forms (best one being a rhombus/diamond shape, hence the name).
@@Ebani it’s radioactive actually! Once thought to be the heaviest non-radioactive element, it was recently discovered to have a half-life about 20 Quintillion years!!
I can only imagine what a delight it must be to share your creations with someone who appreciates toys as much as Tim does. Thank you for sharing, Chuck! I might have to steal that rubber band toy design for my own cats. ;D Something that's easy to miss in this episode is Tim's knowledge of both bismuth and water's inherent properties. Never lose your curiosity and wonder at nature, my friends! This universe is full of cool things!
Ha, the ticket roll thingies! Used to do the exact same thing with those paper rulers they had hanging around in the furniture store as a kid. Nice to see that again in this form.
I love this mans enthusiasm over things that seem so simple yet have the capacity to bring such enjoyment to him. When seeing them through his perspective it adds a whole new level of appreciation for these small knickknacks and oddities. Every video is so wholesome and heart warming. Truly an underrated channel that needs more attention.
I love when people with 3D printers contribute to their favorite UA-camrs. :D There was a fan over on the Shaun Woods channel 3D printing mousetraps based off antique ones that were reviewed on that channel.
Fun fact: Bismuth is the least-radioactive radioactive element. There is technically no completely stable isotope, but the _most_ stable, Bi-209, has a half-life of approximately 10 billion times the age of the universe, so its radioactivity is harmless and basically impossible to measure.
Not sure how Tim's doing it but a pattern with Tesla valves might also work, if that isn't how he's doing it already. Imo that toy looked like it was 3D printed
I suddenly remember a trick I read about a long time ago. You hold a coin (20-25 mm or so) vertically between the table and the tip of your left index finger. Then with the other hand you move your right index finger quickly down your left finger (you can change left/right if convenient). That sends the coin spinning on the table. Let the spectators try - they won't make it. The trick is that the tip of your right thumb just hits the edge of the coin and sends it spinning. But nobody notices. I wonder how I forgot that.
I wouldn't have such long strings and elastic bands around cats, it doesn't take long for a cat to swallow a string or an elastic band due to their essentially automatic swallowing mechanism and it could be a disaster. I have 4 cats at the moment, had them for many years now and I've kept cats my entire life so while playing with strings is ok if you hold onto one end firmly and know the cat won't get ahold of the whole thing, wrapping strings around your ankles especially ones made of different smaller strings could end badly. This might just be me being overprotective but I felt like saying it's a bad idea :) Awesome awesome toys tho, loved the green one on a string, it somehow gave me frog vibes.

Superb! Amazing stuff you've designed!
Did Tim mispronounce Iowa?
Congrats chuck!
Great job Chuck Hilliard from Aye-Oh-Wah
Dude this is amazing! I saw your video where you sent them and I was hoping it would wind up like this! Sincerely cool!
Tim got old enough to be a kid, and then decided that that's the best age, and just stayed that way, an inspiration to us all.
WTF
@@RSSPLOTER what
True. Grow old, but never grow up ❤
@@RSSPLOTER LOL
Apparently he doesn't have any kids himself :'(
Such a calming voice
And then 3:54
And even better at 5:43
This is remarkably sweet, fun and wholesome. We love you Tim! 💕
You know it's going to be a good Friday when Tim drops a 10 min video.
Tim is right, I do like a bit of water now and then

Yes. It also emites a slight amount of radiation that will not harm you. It's rare that an element can do that.
@@galadis123 Not really, color is also a type of electromagnetic radiation, all "radiation" is.

All too right, I’m am literally jumping with joy!! The rubber band toy is a super-sonic whip so play carefully!
8:22 Is that water from the Nile?
Awesome stuff, Tim! This has got to be one of the best channels on UA-cam ❤️
Chuck is a very talented dude, good to see his work being appreciated! Great vid!
Always fun to watch. Thanks, Tim.
Nice one Chuck, great fun Tim, and thank you Grand Illusion team. Always fantastic.
So wonderful to see two of my favorite play and puzzle appreciators interact like this! 🥰
You are one of my heroes. Never lose your sense of wonder!
Had a bad day so I've just been binge watching grand illusions for the past hour. Really helps put my mind at ease, thank you Tim 😊
i still have y button and thread spinner from when i was 4, mine is made of twine, and cedar
You know what they say... There's no bismuth like show bismuth.
If that's the case, then bismuth be your lucky day!
Some of those look like great fidget toys! The card spinners are genius in their simplicity and I love the patterns as they spin. Clever stuff!
Thank you Chuck for Tim's content for another charming video :)
This,

is how Tim corrupts minds with his channel. Encouraging people to pursue amusement and wonder.
A nice way to spend a Friday night, starting the binge rn

This 4k Tim is amazing. Many thanks to all involved.
Tim, the man who will always be young at heart!
lovely stuff
When I look at Tim, the smile on my face doesn't go away . . . 🙂
bismuth from the nile!!!!
I get my bismuth from Bismarck. If someone asks you where you get yours from and tell them it’s none of their bismuth. 😂🤣

I am so glad to see u still make vids!(btw love ur content
This is the coolest! These are the coolest toys, Chuck!! :)
Tim is proof childishness and maturity can coexist
Tim you are the best
excellent way to display surface tension (especially in water) :)
Super cool Tim
I find incredible comfort here.
I get the feeling that these might make wonderful toys for some autistic children, as well as other Sped kids❤️!
Great if more adults felt it was ok to say I've been playing this would be a better world.
I think my favorite was the water device.

Let’s go the coolest tiktoker getting his inventions out there

love your vids tim!!! i look forward to each upload, glad to have caught this one early! hope you're doing well :)
Thank you Tim!
Could it be due to water surface tension?
That pulsating universe really is something
Super Rare gems!
Would be interesting to see the elastic band and strong on an elastic band gun. 😊✌️
A week and a 1/2 feels like 3 or 4 days when you're having fun
Tim is the real asmr king
7:42 This is because the atoms expand as they cool. Same reason why ice floats in water
Guess we’ll never know what the thing at the beginning was.
Such strange shapes the Bismuth takes.. when solidifying.
8:55 it went to the Nile, that's where water from the Nile is from
That's none of your bismuth!
You sound different god bless you tim❤🎉
I love this channel
Can't believe Tim didn't put the ticket bowl on his head. He's always wearing strange things as hats!
I've been coating my glass work in bismuth for years, its a crazy weird medium to work with, it's the most random medium i've ever dealt with
I want to play with those rattling plastic things SO bad

multicultural too as well
it’d be quite nice to get a toy of your own creation on Tim’s youtube channel
Nice AT field there Tim...
Love your videos.
Yes, she certainly is.
Grandpa Tim is still here
I wonder of Tim still collecting toys. This is all men's dream to have all kind of toys and show it to everyone and future generation..
I enjoyed the bit where Tim blasted his microphone with that spinning green thing.
What an entertaining video Tim! However, this may be the loudest video to date...
