Way back when at TK Maxx you used to get about 10% of the bags/luxury goods that really were Actual Closeout Stock💜💜 - & if you found something (you had to really hunt obvs) that was v cool (there's always closeout stock Worldwide my Grest Aunt used to say) & she would go there when I was little; & occasionally come over afterwards to dance around the room with her "prize!"🤭💜
Now - actual Givenchy/Balmain etc Coseout stock is VERY rare💜💜 there & like this lesser brands make things Actually FOR TK Maxx🫣💜(the DKNY & Moschino etc is a disaster & most of those "Designer" items are so cheap & nasty. I found the odd decent thing this past 2 years but it's rare now If only a real closeout (smaller) store became a chain; my Aunt always saif there was lots & all of it had to be sold if psbl (she worked in the Actual Fashion Industry & for a Magazine + knew her subject) but TK is Not what it used to be! Some of the stuff there - as it Used to Be could be 5 Years old or more - but if it was Classic Designs that didn't matter at all but now it's a made to order goods supermarket & if you find anything good that is Actual Closeout it's unusual (they still send emails so I occasionally look on the Website! (but the store near is has nothing much it's not great) We need a real closeout stock chain!🙏🇬🇧

Every Michael Kors purse I've ever had has broken. My daughter worked at Macys and she said they get returned the most. Get a Coach or Doney & Burke instead.
Yess my mom has a Michael kors purse the straps r falling apart after only like 5-6 yrs but she has a coach purse tht she’s had like 12 yrs n it still looks brand new
I have a Kors Hamilton bag from a decade ago that’s wonderful and still going strong. I don’t know what happened to the brand after but it’s a shame.
Coach’s parent company recently acquired MK, so hopefully things will change soon 🤞 I will say boutique MK is somewhere between Coach Outlet and main line Coach in quality, and some of their Michael Kors Collection bags are made better than LV.
I have a MK black bag, ive had it for 7 years now, used it almost every day in winter and it looks like brand new😍😍😍 i however bought a backpack 2 years ago and the leather is coming off a bit, so i dont know, maybe they went down in quality.

Watching this has made me realize the marked down leather jackets in the mall leather store are actually better quality than about anything in the dept stores.
as a owner of a tannery i assure you that most brands don't use high end leather just acceptable

Every Michael Kors thing I have ever bought has broken down immediately. My watch lost the coating of "rose gold." So did both pairs of sunglasses, and the leather bags fell apart immediately. My wrist warmers were crap too. I will NEVER spend a dollar again at Michael Kors. It's trash.
did you buy from the outlet or retail store?coz I have bags, wallets and sunglasses from their retail and they still look brand new after 5 more years just a little scratches from wearing. I have issues from the outlet coach though, won't last a year but those from retail still good. So I stay away from those outlets items for good.

I don't know where you bought this or what kind of bag it is, but I have many bags from this brand and they have all been in excellent condition for many years.
Agree. I don’t like their design so much, especially full of logo, but all their bags keep good condition for a very long time. I guess MK has something like cheaper line for outlets and that one in the video was one of those goods.

I have an MK bag that we purchased back in 2013 at Nordstrom. It’s still in great condition to this day. Survived Florida weather and California weather. It used to be more structured, but it got softer overtime. The hardware hasn’t faded. There’s no issue with stitching. No scuffing in the leather. But we got it back in 2013 at Nordstrom…so the quality is definitely different than the ones from the outlet and discounted stores.
Oh yea deffo, this bad news doesnt apply to any of my purses either. At least, I feel better about myself if i tell people that! 😂

There is a difference between the Michael Kors collection that is closer to $1,000+, which is your higher end bags, and Michael Kors outlet which is what you get in malls for around $100-$300 ish. The quality is going to be very different from a $100 bag and $1,000 bag.
this is definitely for the outlet. I also have bags, wallet, watch and sunglasses from them and they still looks like new except a few scratches from wearing. I got some item from coach outlet too and those are the worst didn't last a year, such a shame. Since then I stay away from the outlet items and buy from the retail and so far all my coach items are still good even after 5 years.
I bought mine between 2014-2016 from Macys. Most are still intact but I guess I don't use them much. The camera bag I used the most has worn our on the strap.

I’ve been waiting for a MK review I bought two purses from them a year ago online. One was on sale for like 80 something and it is that type of leather he just showed. The quality looked very cheap I was disappointed and I went with a Coach this last time I bought a purse after one of his reviews said it was worth it. Top grain leather is the inner looser layer of fibers from a cut of leather. The good stuff is on top of the top grain/genuine leather/suede and has a tighter fiber structure. What they did here is take the top grain leather, sand it or “refine” it and smack a layer of polyurethane on it for durability. That way they can still call it real leather even tho it’s crap quality

I had a big black one and it lasted me 6 + years. I purchased it at Macy's ( New England ) I paid $600.00 for it. My favorite purse I've ever owned.

600 should last longer than 6 years.
My MK bags and & wallets have never broken down. I change them out every 3-4 months. One is around 15 yrs old. I wipe them down between use, fill them with paper. One tote I use every summer I finally had to have new contrasting handles made, get lots of compliments on that one. They all look brand new.
I have a Michael Kors purse that last me for seven years with rain, snow cold weather summers and everything. I guess it depends what year they decided to make cheap quality but the old classic Michael Kors purse they are great and it last a long time for me but I do manage and take care of my purse with regular cleaning and touch’s up . Hahaha I should make a video how to manage and make your purses last longer 😊

years ago I bought a mk satchel. I still have it to this day. best ever purchase. and I handle it with the least case. it has a paint worn out at the edges but it still is awesome
I have read the comments, and I have 3 ML purses. Plus, the wallets to match. I have never had any issues with any of them.
All my MK bags have held up for years. Nothing has ever faded, worn out, or broken..Guess I’m one of the lucky ones
I stick with Coach. Been a customer over 30 years and all of my bags have withstood the test of time. They can get run over by a car and still look like new after cleaning. Ask me how I know! 😏

I get michael kors because i want alot if options and im not wanting to spend a ton of money because i have bigger priorities and Michael kors hold up far far better then what ive seen sold for around 200$
Case by case. My three-quarter zip wallet from a Kors outlet has been holding up quite well. I got pink and I love it.

I had MK wallet for 9 yrs that I used EVERY DAY and I was surprised how long it lasted. The stitching and glazing never had an issue. The only thing that broke off eventually was the metal hook for the wristlet.
I have been buying Dooneys since the end of 1980's and still use Dooney, they are made in Connecticut, yet purchased a coach wallet and was embarrass the way it got within months and when back to my old Dooney wallet, till I got another one this holiday season
I bought cute small Versace bag. I was caught in the rain. My white coat was left with MASSIVE black marks from the bag and straps. These days it's all abut sales, quantity. It's not about quality anymore.

bath tub. The purse fell apart........ It was made in side of nothing but glue and thick cheap

I don't get the hate in the comments. I've had an MK bag for over 2 years now. It's literally the only bag I have. I got it from an outlet store and I use it every time I go out. I don't know how you've been using your bags, but mine doesn't have a single scratch on it. The only wear and tear you'd find is in the clasp and it's underneath the flap. It's also made from the same "Saffiano leather" in this video. I don't know how you abuse your bags. I just store mine on a table next to my desk with all my daily essentials still inside.
A lot of people here are simply lying. These bags are designed to withstand moderate wear. They’re acting like these bags are disposable.

I appreciate your videos so much. Just please understand that many of us, if not most, will never buy a Prada or a Chanel or an Hermes bag, either due to lack of funds or unwillingness to use the funds for a bag.

I've heard a lot of designer's produce lower quality goods specifically for shopping malls, especially those with big name outlets. They imply that they're selling last year's stock. Given the quality of their true designer stock, I wouldn't expect a production run big enough to have any excess.
Def get Marc Jacobs instead. I've got a saffiano Snapshot bag; doesn't feel quite as nice as Prada but very close, esp considering it's about 1/4 the price of even entry-level Prada bags. Construction is also surprisingly good; I've overstuffed mine a couple times, still retains shape after and the seams are all even and solid.
MK makes good fragrances and decent watches. I can't think of anything else that's really worth the money.
I bought 3 satchel MK bags at Dillards in florida. I loved them. So easy to use and holds so much. The two leather ones did very well, but the Shiny metallic one that I used everyday for years didnt do well for the long haul.

Ladies find a local leather working craftsman. I got a custom leather purse with my cats tooled on it. Main color is teal. It sits upright on a flat surface and holds a water bottle. Pocket big enough for iPhone. Hardware to clip stuff to like key fobs. Cross body strap. All the feature I want in a purse. Worth every penny of $200 I paid. Will last the rest of my life. People love it. A stranger in the airport asked to take a pic of it. 🥰

I have a soft, pebbled leather MK backpack that is really nice, but it was $300, I believe. It’s only gotten softer with use & has held up well with regular use. Quality depends so much on what materials are used.

Ok so the MK purses I see at Ross are low grade and (ugly). The stuff online was same as I saw at the outlet mall and same prices. However, the MK purses I saw at Nordstrom rack where BEAUTIFUL and I never seen those styles elsewhere. Was worth buying from Nordstrom rack because the leather was very nice quality (look and feel)
Go for Coach. Great quality. Mid range prices.. I have a couple of bags. They are in perfect condition after 5 years of daily use.

Furla is really durable. So far only one of my furlas(small kelis) has leather comming off the handle and it's in use since 2016. My Lotus bag I got like 2 years before that one still looks good, the handles are intact.

I have 20 MK handbags that I bought 2013-2016 in mint condition. I used them rain snow and very hot weathers. They seem to last pretty long. The newer MK might be not as good 😢

I got a wallet that got surface cracks in the folds and the top layer started peeling, thankfully I got it in the UK TK MAXX sale section for dirt cheap and trust me it performed like it was dirt cheap, 3 months of careful use and it looked like it'd been baked in the sun

my mom is a MK fan so we have a bunch of little cross body bags in different styles which she literally worn out to the very last thread (some of them are fabric not leather) and recently she bought MK leather backpack and it is well made and has been holding very good so far, so i guess it all depends on which batch bag is from. also you can’t expect nice leather for 89$ so….
