this is by far the best mental trainig video ever exist on youtube! i love this mental videos from you!!! thx mate. greets from austria, vienna (quarantine)
Fantastic stuff, thank you for the reminders. The simplicity of your meditation is helpful, and the reminder that the way we do one thing is the way we do everything, in that discipline is practiced in many areas of life is spot on!
Great tips on developing patience and discipline! 👍I can see you have done a great job developing your patience and discipline after playing with you. Good stuff!
Thanks for the video, I've recognized that these are the two most important things I need to work on most in my life as well as the poker table. Nothing else works - no advice, strategies, diets etc. useless without these two elements in your life.
Hi Eric - absolutely I completely agree. Your mental game is #1 in my opinion, not just for poker but also for life. Especially when as poker players we are dealing with money everyday it is so important to be able to stay disciplined. I'm happy you liked the video bud and thanks for your message :)
Woww.. this is really good. Very different.. I dont play poker but I just like the topics and how to develop certain qualities and apply in our own lives.. would like to see more from you.
Great video Sam, very nicely put together. I’ve been meaning to get into meditation myself to help with not just poker but with everyday life, so thanks for the tip! I’ll also be watching Topgun again :D . Keep up the good content brother!
Thanks for sharing your experience. Even so I think you are a bit of an outlier in your ability to stay focused for 10-12 hours a day, 6 days a week. With the best of effort, I don't think this is possible for most people. Anyway, you are a very good presenter as well.
Thanks Sam for the honest advice. I find your content very relatable and charming. Hope i can implement what you have said. I really enjoy the battle that is poker. I can usually have a good run for weeks and be highly profitable, but will eventually throw everything back in one crazy uncontrolled session. Loved and played and thought about the game for many years, at times thinking about just giving up and feeling i will never get any better. Hope i'm not the 'fish'. Will keep persevering though. Thanks heaps Sam. Regards. Liked and Subscribed. 👍
Thanks Phong for your kind message I really appreciate you taking the time! Yes many times in the past I have built my roll online only to decimate it in just a couple of sessions, withdraw all my remaining cash then 'quit' the game for a year so. Any serious poker player who tells you they have never gone broke is lying :) Good luck at the tables and I hope you can take useful lessons to apply in your personal life too!
THAT WAS AN AWESOME VIDEO - I SUBSCRIBED AND ABOUT TO CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE IN A FEW MINUTES - i LEARNED A LOT AND HAD MY SON LISTEN TO YOU! HE LAUGHED AT YOUR MEDITATION ABOUT THINKING ABOUT DINNER LOL
Hi Jason thanks very much for your kind message! You'd be surprised just how random some thoughts can be, when they suddenly pop into your head out of nowhere while meditating :)
That helped a lot, I should be a winning poker player but discipline let’s me down. (I’m pretty sure I’ve a mild form of adhd) I knew I had to do something but didn’t know what/why/how. Thank you. Oh and, I’m betting ironing is not in your daily disciplines 😉😂
Hi Major, and thanks for your comment I'm happy you found the video useful! Building habits is very powerful way to build your discipline, if you haven't already I recommend you read Atomic Habits by James Clear - I will be making a video about this soon. Great name by the way :)
@@Sam_Ho I was impressed with how natural it looks. Most vloggers look uncomfortable so yours was a big contrast. Let’s have some more vlogs of you playing!
I have little Patients in everyday life but somehow developed them at the Poker Table. I watch people lose their patients All the Time at the table. Their money is what they lose next.
How do you stay patient on the poker table? And how do you develop self control over your money and your mind? Let me know what you guys think!
- Sam.
Smart insights there, thanks
@@hoey77Thanks David, glad you liked it 💪

@@Sam_Ho thanks, I will look for the book. (Several generations of Major Spencer’s) 😊
You look like a guy who is very comfortable on camera. Like you had a job in the industry before poker. Nice work.
Thank you Nicholi that's very nice of you to say :)

Developing as a poker player also develops your character off the table too, its a very good life teacher :)
