I shit you not. I played this past weekend and I cannot believe how many 3/4 card flush or 3/4 to the straight came out every fucken board. The whole table was blown by it too.

@@id10t98 Because they are far from being the best, now they are more like celebrities. Look at Adrian Mateus, Boris Angelov and others. Poker is definitely skill in the long run, but if you play cash games once a week or occasionally, yeah, its more based on short term luck. But after all poker players do not aim to make a final table every time, their goal is to be a profitable player by making the best decisions possible and only then, the math is gonna reward you sooner or later. (Do you think blackjack is luck or skill?) Just curious.

Look at Adrian Mateus, Boris Angelov and many many other poker crushers that have such a high EV from poker. But after all the main goal of the proffessional poker players is not to make a final table each time, but rather to be a profitable player. It is pure math combined with skill in the long run. So for example if you have AA vs J4o you still can lose 14% of the time, which means you can maybe lose 100+ times in a row mathematically speaking but in the long run it is gonna balance and you will be profitable if you put the money in with 86% equity.
