    For a practical, time saving way of having this kind of juice every morning, you can just juice up your greens, freeze them in an ice cube tray (I recommend buying a tray solely for this, the juice will stain the plastic) and, when you want to have this healthy and refreshing drink in the morning, you can just blend the green cubes with orange juice and ginger, for example.
    Keep up with the great vids, Drinkstube!

    My husband has been making something very similar, and for me it was an acquired taste. I started out drinking it because "it's good for me," but I really like it now. I have to try the fennel and use more ginger. Thanks for all the nutrition info too : )

    Removing the fibres to make it easier on your digestive system? but fibres are very good for the digestive system. Because they don't break down, they 'tickle' your guts, stimulating digestion. But I do get that it tastes better without the pulp.
    Should you drink this every single day, or would that be some sort of vitamin overload?

    • @dhalley861
      @dhalley861 10 років тому +1

      Yes! Fibre is excellent And necessary for the proper function of the digestive tract....For a healthy one, that is! Sadly most of us suffer from an impaired digestive system (due to all of the crop we eat and lifestyle choices!) So we can't actually digest properly. .let alone detox. Juicing gives our digestive system a break to focus on detox and repair...Once in a while we need it :)

    Danielle I am a smoothie lover -going for full value- and I have experimented with a variety of fruits and veggies. I just wanted to add that raw spinach, you use it in your recipe, maybe harmful for our body if it's not rotated.
    Nice juice. For the new friends I recommend adding some organic honey along with the lemon.

    there is nothing bad about making your digestive system work hard...that's the purpose of it... taking the fiber out of the food makes blood sugar levels rise faster and your risk of getting intestines cancer also rises... the average should eat more than 20 grams of fiber each day... try to consume more smoothies then juices.
    also in a juice you end up consuming more food than you need without filling you up... after all you can do whatever you want and what i wrote is my own belief

    Why use a juicer when it wastes so much of the nutritional content? I just run my vegetables and herbs through my Ninja blender and it chops it as fine as a juicer juices and I get "All" of the nutritional content and waste nothing. Plus fact a juicer is a slow way to get to your goal. I can finely chop/blend all the fresh vegetables in my Ninja blender in 30 seconds. Just add some extra water and you are good to go. No tap water though. Well filtered water only.

    • @danniemck

That's my biggest concern, I know I can put kale in a normal blender but it takes so much bloody time and blending.. Also I'd love to be able to chuck some ginger in there.. do you need to chop up the ginger finely to put it in the Nutrininja and how is it on kale?

      +Kasandra Get a Vitamix. It can pulp ANYTHING in seconds. Then you just rinse the container (it's like a biiig blender) and once in a while you can wash it by putting one ( 1 ) drop of dish soap and a little water and run it at high for 10 seconds and you're done. They cost around $400, but worth every penny. Check them out right here on the " -- tube".

    The fibre is not hard on the digestion. In fact, the intestinal flora breakdown the fibre and the byproduct is the release of the phytonutrients. Otherwise, you are only getting sugars and water from the plants along with some trace nutrients. Its better to eat the whole food and not waste the fibre, unless one is rich enough to drink a £15 glass of vegetable/fruit/root extract.
