Great, why did I watch this video. I’m trying to save money right now and the last thing I needed to watch was a video on some cool AF storage systems that utilize the underused portion of my Ram Dually. Especially when I’m towing the Toy Hauler with the Harleys inside. I’m gonna kick myself in the pants for months to come every time I think about this cargo system and all those tools I can carry to repair the motorcycles, Rv or truck if needed. Thanks Gents! ✌🏽
We've been looking at the "Van Thing" as a solution for extended weekends away, but we're not impressed with any of the vans on the market. Came across this concept and really think they have something here. Building around a great quality truck makes sense, and the quality of the work looks great along with the functionality. We'll be contacting SherpTek soon.
@@bradb4164 And the EarthRoamer is a dedicated RecreateVehicle with zero capabilities to remove the quarters and use the truck for hauling. I prefer multi-use.
Why can't the camper be wide at the bottom, to go on top of existing aluminum flatbed?.... These always seem to be narrow at the bottom, like a pickup truck bed camper..... My flatbed is 8 feet wide by 11-12 feet long, sitting on a 6-wheel 3500 chassis and I'm exploring the options for a camper with about that dimension on the bottom.
$70-90k for the truck, $70-100 for the camper and upwards of $50k for the bed…..all depending on options of course. This setup shown is probably approaching $170-200k! But dont worry, even if you wanted the setup, they wont email or call back.
@@talonpilot I hear yah. But I continued looking for one cheaper than 50K. Luckily on craigs list I located on the Island of Sumatra. It was priced at 600 us dollars. I paid up front and am expecting delivery next week as they said they would rush it. Its the first time i bought from the internet but am happy I did it. Look forward to boondocking.
@@NewsNowCalifornia glad you found something that MAY work for you; Craigslist is an awesome place to find great deals. I use it ALL the tim! A typical flatbed is great for all around use, especially as a farmer (who typically uses flatbeds for many different jobs). I think the attraction of the Sherptek beds are that they are somewhat ‘made’ for people with campers and that type of usage. The ‘flank side’ doors fit neatly against the camper allowing the space that is usually occupied by the bed wheel wells to now become usable space for storage. Something that is invaluable when you’re boon docking and only using the space you have in your truck. If you tow a trailer then this is less of a concern. They seem like an awesome option but it costs to get that level of usability. You really have to commit to it at their prices. Again, hope the bed works out for you. Good luck.
It's a shame the owner of the channel can't be bothered to answer any comments. I'm guessing he runs the business the same way, I would worry about buying anything from him.
This looks amazing. That Ram with the garage is basically my new dream rig
Prices are OUT OF THIS WORLD !!!

nice to see my truck in there... 100% agree with everything Ryan talked about the build quality and engineering
What is your truck model in the video?

I love their work. Gotta do it.
You seen the prices lol
A lot cheaper than an earthroamer. Those conversions go for 650k and up.

No [not giggling].
My dream rig!
Do you recommend the Liquid Spring suspension system?
❤how long of a wait list is there? And how many weeks do you need to build the bed?
Looking good!
Nice stuff no doubt about that 250 g setup ?
Where is your shop located and btw that front garage locker is on point!
@brya,
According to the WorldWideWeb, SherpTek is in Prineville, Oregon (near Bend).
.
Located.
Can you add the “garage” to a non-Sherptek bed? Like a CM for instance.
Awesome 😎
Did that truck have an 8' or 10' flatbed?
I have emailed, is an 84CA recommended with the front garage or is it camper dependent?

Hypothetically, what what a rig set up like the one with the host cost, ballpark$

How does this rig handle on the road / off road?
Price for 8' bed?
Are you kidding? You show the outside and not the inside of the camper.
They do not build or modify campers... maybe that's why.
@june,
This custom flatbed and storage is engineered for the factory camper you choose.
Which camper do you prefer?
