I'm not in the market for something like this but I can appreciate the amount of detail and workmanship they have put into their product, and if ever am in the market for one of these beds and I had the cash I'd definitely buy one. Good job guys.
Cool bed! I can't afford it, but I can't afford the truck or the camper either, but it's still cool. Maybe when that lottery retirement plan happens.....
I have been struggling with getting a toy hauler or a motorhome or a camper. I ruled out the motorhome as I do not want another motor/transmission/brakes and so on. so my next idea a toy hauler and the problem with that is space for the wide range of trips and toy I do and have. I just could not see one that would work for me. so it's coming down to custom building a trailer for hauling what I want to play with, so I started looking at campers to put on the truck. after looking at everything I could not get over how much space is wasted with a camper. so I started looking at flat beds and building my own camper on that. then today I came across the ultimate truck bed and it gives me back all the wasted space, I'm ordering a new truck with no bed and buying this one as it fits all my needs and gives me back all the space I would lose with a normal truck bed.
This is like top of the line, everything for a truck bed..very very nice from concept to completion this looks like something that will not only look awesome but last as well? Not sure but if I needed something like this I would be calling these guys for sure..hopefully it's as good as it looks
Thanks! We've designed our beds to last the life of the truck. Hopefully you can see one in person sometime so you can judge for yourself if it's as good as it looks!
You should build a heavy duty bed with the air and water system for a work truck. Welder set up or with 5th wheel for small car haulers, racers, lots of customers there.
Beautiful work guy this is a winner system that is lite works w/Host camper perfect can b hardened, just perfect, U Hve My sale! I was wondering just how well other ppl side boxes would work w/w/Host dimensions. Can the hardened bed version b tilt bed sturdy enough to b match ability of the truck. If just flat no problem but 4500 when not camping or towing is a Work Truck. Almost hve to take standard tilt bed & let u make it Host match box approved.
bad placement for the air connectors. easy to get grit into it and cause a jam. i do not see any use for a remote light switch. a lower rail bed for fifthwheels?? i do like this...but at what cost?
Yep. Our beds are built-to-order for any size and any type of truck. You can complete our "How to Buy" form (sherptek.com/howtobuy/) to start the conversation and get more specific pricing information.
All that crap can be deleted. The longevity, torque, reliability and resale value of a cummins equipped truck far outweigh the hemi. Fuel mileage? Have you ever driven a 9000 pound dual rear wheel truck with a 5000 pound camper strapped to it? Let alone up any sort of grade, WITH A GAS ENGINE? You'd be lucky to get 5 miles per gallon. And as far as working on them at home, my 5.7 hemi is so shoe horned into my 1500 that you'd have to dismantle half the engine bay to change the spark plugs. It's a wonder the hood can still close. Every engine is all computers and almost built to be dealer serviced. I cant imagine how bad that bigger 6.4 hemi is. The emissions shit is a government mandated pain in the ass but with this owners budget its a no brainer that the hemi was a mistake.
Just need truck,ha & the Host doors on both sides w/taller under storage so can store potentially super single I think they ran 41" tall & not sure the width for under slide storage. The back window needs to come out easily for loading bulky items 2 prts max. 1 company had washer dryer in sofa spot under window. I would use 2 combo washers that dry, w/table on top. Tri slides r v/heavy no need to rear slide a combo or 2 combo washers. 2 side slides make alot of sense. Want a pop top but Host doesn't offer that yet. Solar & lithium prep or better installed that can work w/ pop top. 5500 extended rear 1 ft quad cab 4500/5500 4by 4 they don't hybrid make yet.
I would like to get something similar. Actually this would be my dream set up since i want a mammoth as well and a ram 5500. how much does this same set up goes for? (just want to know for research purposes. Thanks
Thanks for your comment! I'll share with you what I shared above. Hope to hear from you soon! "All of our products are high-end, built-to-order using aerospace materials and construction techniques, and held to the highest quality standards. They are light and strong and built to be abused for the life of the truck and beyond, and the modular nature means this truck bed can be changed and adapt to your needs throughout that time. One of the biggest benefits is that if you choose to go with one configuration at the outset, you can end up changing it completely years down the road if your needs change ... you're not stuck with one utility bed. Due to the many variabilities for each build, which often include aftermarket truck upgrades that we do in-house, we prefer that you fill our the "How to Buy" form (sherptek.com/howtobuy/) to get more specific pricing information."
We do all kinds of custom decks, so if this is your main need you may want a different setup, which we can do! If you're interested in continuing the conversation, complete the "How to Buy" form (sherptek.com/howtobuy/), and we'll be in touch!

Judging by their dancing around giving a ball park price im going to say close to or more than the New dodge 450 you're buying for. No reason they can't quote the price for the one in the video it's been built they know the costs and what they sell it for. Any place that makes you give a email just to get a ruff estimate knows their prices are an instant show stopper lol.
Do you mean a portable Honda or Yamaha generator? If so, definitely! And it will leave plenty of room for much more. We'll post a photo soon to Instagram and Facebook to show how one of those looks in the flank sides of this build.
Why do I think, price of the truck and everything you guys supply and camper would come out to the same price if you bought a small house... Just sayin'... Good stuff thanks for posting...
You bet! Our beds are built-to-order for any size and any type of truck. You can complete our "How to Buy" form (sherptek.com/howtobuy/) to start the conversation and get more specific pricing information.
they said in a bunch of other comments that they make the bed custom to each order, so I'm sure if a welder requested the ultimate welders bed, they'd make it lol
People will definitely spend that for their custom camping rig! Have you seen the starting prices for some of these Sprinter based class B motorhomes... talking $200K and up for some of them! Hell I've seen people spend $20K and much more on a luxury watch.
Incredible amount of functionality however aesthetics are awful, you show no use of the flatbed other than to hold the camper we would like to see what the capabilities and details of the flatbed are as it’s a transitional bed for multi use... As being in truck sales for 25 years you need to show the capabilities the weight load limits the usability in every setting, job performance, vacation performance and so on...
That is a seriously impressive piece. Well thought out, well done.
I'm not in the market for something like this but I can appreciate the amount of detail and workmanship they have put into their product, and if ever am in the market for one of these beds and I had the cash I'd definitely buy one. Good job guys.
Love seeing young ambitious Americans chasing the dream and building with pride.
Very well done! Nice to see a young guy getting after it with innovative ideas and products! Congrats
That is the most over the top truck bed I have come across. Job well done!
I’m sold... ‘been dreaming about a proper GVWR and proper matching utility box/bed.
This is one of the nicest builds I have seen. I’ve been looking for something for a while and hopefully I can afford this.
Thank you!
That's an awesome use of truck bed space.
I could see this bed system on a class 8 tow tractor, very cool setup!
Thanks! We can build to any length and width and look forward to putting one on some heavy duty rigs!
Cool bed! I can't afford it, but I can't afford the truck or the camper either, but it's still cool. Maybe when that lottery retirement plan happens.....
Thanks, Chris! We'll be sending positive, winning vibes your way ... [7|7|7]
Chris VanOsdol Funny thing, i have the same retirement plan! Lol I contribute a couple dollars daily!
2 3 years you can buy one used
I have been struggling with getting a toy hauler or a motorhome or a camper. Some serious thoughts went into this design kudos!

Im sold, i will be buying from you guys when the time comes.
Stunning design and concept. Here's to a long profitable business. Cheers!
Sick truck then u see that Hemi bage and now it's just a sick bed
You don't need diesel to haul a truck camper; you need all the payload you can get...hence the gas engine.
Seriously how is this video not my re popular? This is very nice.
Next level tech and design man love ur story man keep it up .absolutely an upgrade from factory truck beds
Just awesome. Well thought out and executed.
Wow! Very well thought out and executed
I NEED THIS for my camper!! Sick! Love it!!
It’s a work of art
Wait to you see the quality in person!
Looks awesome, well thought out design!
Amazing product. Great work!
damn, you guys should build campers also, they'll integrate well with your truck bed.
I'll be ordering one for my tacoma in the future!!
Great design!!! Congrats!!!
You should build a heavy duty bed with the air and water system for a work truck. Welder set up or with 5th wheel for small car haulers, racers, lots of customers there.
I’m impressed think bout getting a 5500 for my camper this looks perfect. Do you color match?
Very nice set up, well done
I have been waiting to find a utility body that doesnt look like a work truck. Im excited to see you build a bed not custom to camper.
Nice setup! 😀
I have one thing to say great idea but I have a bad feeling it's worth more than the majority of slightly used pickup trucks.
American Innovation at work
This is beyond incredible. Can you do a Super-Single conversion for a Ram 5500 Chassis Cab?
Hope you have plans for a 5th wheel version would really be intrested
HOLY SHERP !,,, this is cool
Is this able to accommodate different makes and sizes of truck campers? I see you have a Host but what if I have a Arctic Fox?
Cool design. Have a website?
Nice bed
Can you get auxillary fuel and water tanks installed?
If only they built a pop up camper too.
Awesome....!!!
That's awesome, can you do this on a fuso/canter?
You bet! We can build to any length and width and can't wait to get one on a Fuso.
Beautiful work guy this is a winner system that is lite works w/Host camper perfect can b hardened, just perfect, U Hve My sale! some kind of chrome still bumper winch front & rear no extreme crazy lites.
Can one of your beds be mounted on a cab & chassis to convert it into a CA legal smog exempt diesel pickup?
The on bed side storage from the video only looks water resistant rather then water proof. Is that true?
Impressive
Can you do a video on a Silverado with your "storage bed"? You are making something that I've been thinking of doing to my Chevy Silverado.
No videos yet, but we do have some pics on Instagram that you might be interested in, especially this post: instagram.com/p/ByqG-WsgPWY/!
so nice!
Im like the design but my question is how are the rear wheel wells. Gonna handle a tire blow out would the storage boxes by the wheels be destroyed
How thick is this rear aluminum bumper that someone though it would be an ideal place to mount d-rings?
Cool concept, not very robust.
Wow! Nice setup!
Thank you! Looking forward to watching more of your channel. Adventure on!
I'd love to see what you could do for an RV hauler bed
When the camper is removed the stored items will be loose. Do you offer an enclosed box rather than using the camper as a storage wall?
Yes, that is an option.
bad placement for the air connectors. easy to get grit into it and cause a jam.
i do not see any use for a remote light switch.
a lower rail bed for fifthwheels??
i do like this...but at what cost?
does your bed systems come with gooseneck option
Wouldn't it be cheaper to get a flat deck and bolt some tool boxes to it?
This thing... Is fucking.. Nice....
You make flatbeds for the ram powerwagon?
Yep. Our beds are built-to-order for any size and any type of truck. You can complete our "How to Buy" form (sherptek.com/howtobuy/) to start the conversation and get more specific pricing information.
SherpTek thanks bro, that's awesome
The camper is sitting higher that normal (above wheels) but looks lined up like usual. Is there special campers for flat bed?
Four wheel campers and Bundutec make flat bed campers. Hallmark might as well I believe.
Your trying to tell me someone spent all that money and skipped out on a cummins for the power plant? Wtf!
Chase Memmott you read my mind!
New diesels suck. DEF, DPF, crap millage, can't work on them at home the list is long. At that point just get a gas hog.
All that crap can be deleted. The longevity, torque, reliability and resale value of a cummins equipped truck far outweigh the hemi. Fuel mileage? Marc Laky do you own a new Cummins or a 6.4 hemi.
No one wants a diesel is crazy cold environments. Its the dually part which gives it enough payload.
where can I find a flush mount air coupler like that
We developed it internally.
could I purchase 6 of them from you?
you have to buy 3 beds to get them.
Just need truck,ha & the Host doors on both sides w/taller under storage so can store potentially super single I think they ran 41" tall & not sure the width for under slide storage. Whats the average cost for one
Sherptek looks great where are you guys based?
Thanks! We're based in Eugene, Ore.
Do you have a bed to fit on a Chevy 2500, short wheelbase?
Yes. Our beds are built-to-order and can fit any size truck.
Can hydronic lift be installed to lift the bed, as in bed dump.

Ron Weber --- no hydronic, but I'm sure they do hydraulics 😃👍
That is a very nice build to put it lightly. What is the setup, 15k?
Seriously nice build, gives me tons of ideas for my next flatbed build.

Can’t find even a starting price anywhere
Hi. Where Are you located ?
800 Pounds? Wow, that's like $1000 USD! Amazing deal! Where do I place my order? Do you have a shop in the USA?
He said the loaded bed weight is 800 lbs, imperial/American, not a cost of £800.
The bed probably costs as much as the truck. LOL
Is there room for a generator?
Do you mean a portable Honda or Yamaha generator? If so, definitely! And it will leave plenty of room for much more. We'll post a photo soon to Instagram and Facebook to show how one of those looks in the flank sides of this build.
ok price?
I like this I like to video well done the people don't understand the probably not smart enough
Badass
I would go to your website but it's probably 10K for a new bed my truck's not even worth 10K two of my trucks is not even worth 10K lol
Dj fxdb
More like 30 or 40k
I want it
Why do I think, price of the truck and everything you guys supply and camper would come out to the same price if you bought a small house... Just sayin'... Good stuff thanks for posting...
Could you guys work on my 99 ram 2500?
You bet! Our beds are built-to-order for any size and any type of truck. You can complete our "How to Buy" form (sherptek.com/howtobuy/) to start the conversation and get more specific pricing information.
Lack of storage is always a problem for truck campers
i hope it doesn't cost much
Hi like you sys how fine you to call you and see how much it will be sir
Just a tip, only for a second! Make a bed for rig welders. You guys will sell hundreds if not thousands! Rig welders love throwing their money away.
they said in a bunch of other comments that they make the bed custom to each order, so I'm sure if a welder requested the ultimate welders bed, they'd make it lol
Take my money 💵💵💵💵💵💰💰💰💰💰
Did you really just say "these ones"?
People selling more cool stuff at high price, dam. Should have been made of plastic.
YOU NEED BETTER FILMING OF THE BED. TOO MUCH CAMPER. CANT REALLY SEE WHAT YOU ARE SELLING.
Hank Clingingsmith exactly. I have no idea what it looks like. But I can see that he wore the dirtiest t-shirt he could find. Cmon maaaan!
Did you guys not watch it to the end? It showed it without camper and as a flatbed towards the end of the video.
Just saw this is 20 grand.... for 20 grand its not worth it
Erick Fernandez --- lol, that's a lot of pocket change, fo'shizzle
People will definitely spend that for their custom camping rig! Have you seen the starting prices for some of these Sprinter based class B motorhomes... talking $200K and up for some of them! Hell I've seen people spend $20K and much more on a luxury watch.
You’re trying to sell a truck bed but all I see is a camper.
dutch971 the bed was custom made to fit around camper. Without camper it doesnt make sense.
justin j it's a modular system so it does make sense without a camper especially since it can become a flatbed
Overkill
Why even buy a fiat if you don't get a cummins with it. Lol
Incredible amount of functionality however aesthetics are awful, you show no use of the flatbed other than to hold the camper we would like to see what the capabilities and details of the flatbed are as it’s a transitional bed for multi use...

hi A T...

let explain about this camper truck
It is ugly like my soul.
