+mohammed bostan Yes. It's much deeper without rasp or drone. I'll have a full in car and out review in a couple days so you can hear normal, sport, idle, and of course fun shift noises under load! Look for it this week!

Been waiting for you to install the V2 exhaust. I saw it at eh most recent Mountune meet and was impressed by the finish. Your coverage of unpacking and installing was spot on. I was also watching your post on the RS FB group. Stellar job and i'm looking at buying this exhaust, glad I waited for the release.

hey chris, sounds great I wasn't going to get a cat back but now I'm thinking otherwise. keep up the videos as they are very thorough . I like mountune a lot seems like they have quality stuff and warrantied by ford. I have there tune in my RS and there air filter and what a crazy difference . thanks chris

Only wish is that Mountune had more options as far as the finish on the exhaust tips like other high-end brands, great video as always Chrisopher Ayres.
+bumatlarge51 I black option would have been good but at least the tips are 304 too. Most companies use cheaper stainless on their tips than the rest of their exhaust.
I agree, I have a stealth grey RS and would have loved a black tip option, but the system is expensive enough without having options.
+bumatlarge51 it's because of the v band and steel, not to mention being the best sounding RS exhaust thus far. A lot of engineering went into this specific to the RS by mountune.
Looks like I'll have to wait for the exhaust, took the car to Ford today and have coolant leaking into the cylinders. My car didn't even make it to its first scheduled oil change.

Been a subscriber since the beginning of your RS series. It's great, Chris. And proves you don't need a lift to do work like this on your car. Looks tricky for someone whose 195cm tall like me to get under there though!!
Quick question about oil...did you notice if installing the breather plate reduced your cars oil consumption? Mines using around half a litre every 6k miles. And it's going somewhere. :(
+Paul Groves I kind of installed it before knowing weather or not I was consuming oil but since the install I have been not loosing any noticeable amount. I hope that helps.

+vivamia thank you, best 4 cylinder exhaust I've ever herd in 20 years. That's Wesson the shop dog. Actually knows certain tools, if I ask for a ratchet under the car he will grab it and bring it over or bring it but keep pulling it away like a game. I'll get him helping in the intercooler install.

Very impressed. Lotta the exhausts I hear on this car sound like fart cans. This is the one I am getting for my RS. Deep and aggressive sound. Yummy

+Christopher Ayres Sorry to comment on an old video, but what model Race Ramps do you have? I'm trying to take advantage of Black Friday deals and can't decide between the 56 and the 67 inch model. I like the 2 extra inches of lift on the 67, but I'm not sure it's worth double the price. Thanks in advance!
Cinca0989 you only need the 56. Don’t buy the 67 unless you see a Pugani in your future. Waste of money and clearance. Get the 56 for sure. They fit even my lowered RS with no issues and about 2 feet of room under.
Christopher Ayres Thanks a bunch for the response. I ended up buying the 56 anyway before the sale ended at midnight and got them for less than 200 shipped. Not bad! While a Pagani is definitely in my plans, I'll just get the 67 before I take delivery of it. ;)

+Canadawerule It's a very aggressive exhaust. It's more than just louder, there are really cool aspects I e hearing the turbo spool when decelerating, etc. you'll love it. Thanks for watching.

Christopher Ayres what happens then do you get the chance for new car . I have got a focus st eco with the mr300 . I think that ford just have went to the egde with it . Milling the block out to 2.3 . The mk2 rs with the volvo 2.5 is all most indestructabul .
There is no stricter to the cylinders to the inner block but at the bottom. The cylinders are thick they just have no secure to the inner block on the top end.
I have read that ford are trying a piston liner . In the uk the rs price is falling . There is more up than just a head gasket from a muststang .
The block itself is flawed. They should try filling in the dead space between the cylinder walls and the inner block with aluminum then all problems gone, but that costs about 2 times as much to mold and manufacture.

+victor ST In a past car I would. I don't like to sell stock parts because I'll likely move to something a bit more fun. Let me think on it as the Mountune unit can be sold easily on car. I will let you know.

+Randy Schenk this is lower than borla. That was a cold start on a new exhaust. At idle it just rumbles like bass.
just got a price on this system. ugh!!!!! will be over 2 grand for me in Canada. 1300 for borla and 500 for down pipe!
