The standard 6 Barra motor non turbo, and turbo motor are basically the same, the internals are over kill for this engine. As mentioned, the only weak link in these engines are the valve springs, that is if you have ba falcon. The bf turbos and later have the heavier valve springs. I don't know this guy from a bar of soap, but I have a mk11 ba falcon turbo, upgraded the valve springs, 1000 cc injectors, 4inch xforce dump into 4 inch 100 cat, but run factory exhaust from cat back. 5 inch Cai from lower air dam to the factory air box. Msd ignition and coils. Tuned at 18 psi on 98 which is my f preferred fuel anyway, 600 hp and does low 10,s all day, and mine is a 6 speed manual. Cost, just under $5000...

Keep finding stuff like cat back exhaust for $2,000. lol
You forgot pistons and rods but it can be done on the budget, depends who you see or where you are in Aus. If you really wanna do it on the budget have to fit some of it yourself or buy some of the parts 2nd hand. I bought rapid cooler cause Im a tight ass and dont see point in getting Plazmaman or Nispro or PW stuff, Piston and rods you forgot to mention as BA arent that good

There is nothing restrictive about the stock exhaust, twin 2.5" has more cross sectional area than a 3.5" exhaust, 3.5" is good for 400rwkw so sounds like you don't know what you are talking about. People are legit making 500+rwkw on spaghetti rods especially bone stock FG grey tops with valve springs and maybe head studs and oil pump gears, plus E85 Legit some forged rods, good harmonic balancer, timing chain and guide kit, and other supporting mods and you're good for 1000hp at the fly

What kind of box is this thing running? I know they have had lots of problems with the so-called ZF milkshake! Barra engine is a tough thing of beauty but that german ZF shitbox not so much.
I have A big problem with my 6 speed ZF it has the Milkshake: could I replace the old box with a secondhand ZF and have it flash tuned to the car or is that impossible.

I think the owner must have forgot to mention in the description that he'd done pistons and rods last tax return... The figures are very hard to swallow.. Also those gearboxes tricked will only last half a dozen runs with that sort of grunt... Speaking from experience.....

And, further insult to injury, I flogged the ass off a Ferrari barachetta at the creek in the same year, because all the Carrara Porche drivers were watching and started calling the ford t3 the ultimate Aston Martin decoy. And these were laps. Now, my xr6 turbo, like I said, runs 10,s all day, without your bullshit promises, and highly elevated prices, and guess what, I'm going to deliver a package deal, that will put you all out of business. @@mickfares depends how its tuned. If you know how to manage the torque delivery you can make the rods last at 400 on e85 pretty easily.

How does going from a big 3.5" dump to the small restrictive factory exhaust not cause a massive bottle neck? Surprising power figure
its a twin 2.5" exhaust though so would flow roughly the same as a single 3". They flow well from the factory as this car shows.
