Not a barra fan but bugger me they are making some bloody power, im sure this set up cost at least 4000 bucks. Would love a video like this on Australia's most powerful home grown engine. Bubbas "Holden" motor still holds that title if im not wrong at 2400rwhp.

Problem is thar you start running into phaser control when you exert crazy backpressure or charge air pressure on the backside of the valves. Plus, you're fighting higher spring rates. Oil pressure can only exert so much pressure on the vanes in the phasers.
The Chevy 6 where I’m from are making 2500 on stock block and head running 5s. Don’t have access to Barras here. But it’s cool to see one that can make 2k
If the intake valve is left open for a fractions when the piston reaches the bottom, the momentum of the incoming air will continue to maximize full filling of the cylinder.

It’s awesome seeing what some of these builders are coming up with, especially in recent times with the wider availability of E85 and race fuels. I’d love to see someone take a completely different approach and screw something together with just one limitation: it can only run on 91 octane, proper dog shit fuel. Yes, that will limit things like boost and compression, but I’ve never seen anyone find the true limit of the power potential of the petrol your mum runs in her Camry.

Hey guys, great vid thanks heaps. One quick question, a mate of mine is putting an inter-cooler in his project car BUT because of room restraints the cooler needs to go in what I'm calling upside down, so the in/out are now at the top NOT at the bottom where I believe there meant to be, am I right or it just doesn't matter. I thought the hot air had to come IN the bottom and rise through the cooler, cross over and OUT the other side at the bottom to get excellent cooling. Seeya Rob

That oil pump set up was impressive and the injectors look different, 8000 rpm, vernier cams, wonder what the oiling solution will be ?
The injectors are actually called atomizers. They are basically just big ass fuel injectors haha.
Add a push/pull overflow sump to the existing pan to add volume, or replace with a larger custom pan. Dry sump is also an option.

Variable cam timing is something you definitely want to keep. There's some funky stuff you can do with it and makes for less lag etc.
Higher compression helps with lag also. The FGXR6T has a low 8.9:1 cr.
All 2021 OEM Tunbo cars run 11:1 cr.
