I unfortunately read Verity because I didn't learn my lesson after the first 2 CoHo books I've read, and it's bad. Not the worst book out of all the books but spoilers: The male love interest is still a bad guy who might have killed his wife, and the main character is still willing to overlook this. CoHo continuously writes toxic, evil men that are always forgiven by the main character.

How did I know the worst love interest line has to be about November 9 (and I didn't even read it 😆). I did read Verity aka Rebecca rip-off and the biting the bed scene is very memorable, unfortunately.
You should read Soul Catcher by E.L. Todd. I picked this book up from GTM so you know it’s a treasure lol. Her other books look like your run of the mill romances but this romantasy really captured my 17 year old heart. Though I absolutely hated the love triangle in the second book and haven’t read the third book because I’m scared to see who she ends up with. Maybe now that it’s been a few years I’ll like it. Anyway I think you’ll either like or love this book because 1- it’s not long. 2- the characters are usually pretty good 3- theres sex 4- there’s plot 5- it’s funny, they stuff leaves into wounds without preparing them as if that’s how medicine works and at one point the main character shoves leaves down the love interests throat.

@@withcindy Why do I feel like CoHo actually needs that- 😭💀
*calls jesus* start the rapture
Hey Cindy. Thank you! You've inspired me to go start using libraries again. I've actually read 12 books this year (compared to 1-2 for the last few years) and bought none :)
Wonderful! What was ur fave book?
@@withcindy Probably Hyperion by Dan Simmons! I've read a lot of Sanderson's books this years too, caught up with things other than Archives. I enjoy his worldbuilding a lot :)
Any video where Cindy roasts the heck out of books is one I will watch.
Glad u enjoy hatred
i have read all i want for Christmas and I've never been so agitated and shock by the AUDACITY of a book boyfriend before. the amount of time I've screamed while reading like sir can you please just TALK
My biggest pet peeve in anything is scars/birthmarks on the face that are seen as “ugly” but are either faint or tactically placed to not be too distracting. Like in Ready Player One.
If you are gonna make someone feel ugly for their scars you better go full Phantom of the Opera
Time for people to ignore your best books video, watch this and call Cindy a book hater 😂
Tale as old as time
I love hater Cindy
19:05 Not the police sirens starting as you talk about a CoHo book! 🤣🤣
Shoutouts to libraries for not making you have to spend money on books. It's like piracy, but legal!
Never hated a book as much as i hated from blood and ash bc it felt like i'm reading a bad wattpad story with no plot whatsoever and cringey interaction between the perverted male lead and the "not like other girls" main character
the way he never listened to her consent either smh
@@withcindy the fact that the consent problem happens in the first pages of the book should've been enough for me to stop reading
i feel like the ending of verity is just the “oh shit” version of “and when she woke up, it was all just a dream”
1:40 the QUEEN of smooth transitions
🙈 This was the year end list I was rlly waiting for ✨ happy holidays Cindy!! ✨ It’s always nice to watch you slay for every upload I can’t imagine how chaotic 2024 will be for books but I pray for you 😭🙏
One can only hope 😭
my prayers are finally being heard: Cindy will do a From Blood and Ash 1-hour-long hate rant
Every year I wait for this video. Its A Wonderful Life kinda anticipation. And you never miss. I'm on my couch in pajamas past noon and this video is my caffeine for the day. Thank you for going into the trenches of hell with these books for us Cindy, I dont know if your mental health will ever recover.
I love having the day off and just being in your pajamas!!
just started the video but YESS LIBRARIES!! love to hear cindy advocating for the local public library! i pretty much grew up in libraries i love them so much. you can get anything there. you can get movies there it's incredible. i got The Road by cormac mccarthy at my local library the other day and it destroyed me. love your channel cindy keep it up :D
Yes!! I use my Libby app every day 😁
I guess our collective blood group is B - considering we love this sub genre of videos.
Matches up!
Cindy!! I could give you a giant bear hug! I’ve never heard of Libby and haven’t utilized the library because I don’t read physical books due to hating carrying anything with me and reading while my child sleeps. I need to read possible comps for my work, but money is tight right now. Your recommendation made me go to the library yesterday, update my card, download Libby and another app they recommended, and now I have all the books I need for free and I get to help the library. Thank you so much!! Also, my ten year old wanted her own library card too, so I signed her up. She feels very mature now lol
Aww that's so cute!!
Cindy.. Girl, I need to let you know that you're my hero, because I was planning on buying from blood and ash tomorrow because of all the hype, without knowing that this book includes some of my worst tropes, worst characteristics any character could have and similar writing style to Sarah j maas. I only heard that it is a fantasy romance book between a maiden and a guard and I liked that idea. THANK YOU.😭😭😭
I DO like romances w bodyguards but.... This ain't it 😪
I wish I had watched Cindy's review before diving in 😭I finished it recently, and it pissed me off so badly that I stopped reading for a while and just went back to playing Baldur's Gate 3
Just found your channel through this video and im now obsessed. The way you can be humorous whilst still perfectly articulating your points at the same time is the perfect mixture
also supporting your local library is EVERYTHING I love it
aww thank you and welcome!!
Look, I get be driven towards negativity, but watching these help give me positivity
That's deep
A negative times a negative equals a positive, etc
How did I know the worst love interest line has to be about November 9 (and I didn't even read it 😆). I did read Verity aka Rebecca rip-off and the biting the bed scene is very memorable, unfortunately.
No one has yet to beat the main dude's insufferable personality and sense of humor
Anyway I think you’ll either like or love this book because
1- it’s not long.
2- the characters are usually pretty good
3- theres sex
4- there’s plot
5- it’s funny, they stuff leaves into wounds without preparing them as if that’s how medicine works and at one point the main character shoves leaves down the love interests throat.
This is my safe place when i can be me and stop being supportive and happy about bad books
Ur safe here ❣️
8:48 HELP THE CAPTIONS SAY NIPPLE BABY INSTEAD OF NEPO BAY 😭😭😭
In all seriousness tho, thanks for all the videos in 2023. They were very nice and helpful for me whenever I wanted to escape or laugh.
Nipple baby still works
3:12 Omg the book that is on the spectrum of Hated By Cindy, Loved By Victoria.
P.S. Shoutout to Wendy’s friends for being cool.
she loved from blood and ash too!
From Blood and Ash was a MESS & I'm still haunted by that one scene in which the main character & her love interest have s'x and she starts screaming her head off simply because he touches her although it's not even in an erogenous ~area~ and I was just like??? why is this book so hyped??
One word: honeydew
Also most libraries have an online app that allows you to borrow audiobooks and digital books!
I was howling at this for 28 mins straight. You never miss
Glad u enjoyed bb
I binged your videos yesterday so I am excited about yet another one to listen to at work todayyyy
Hope you enjoy!
cindy making an angry book rant is the perfect Christmas present
The holidays are saved
The Libby app and the library are my best friends! If I love the book, I'll purchase it. Great Video 💚
Colleen Hoover is painful to get through 😭 After that one book I don’t even remember the name of, I could NEVER pick up the book again 😭
19:03 the fact that u starts to hear police sirens when cindy talks about the manuscript 🥹🥹
Was listening to this on full blast at super time and my husband decided to pay attention at 17:26. He got so confused because apparently, he thought I was watching CNN 🤣🤣🤣
From blood and ash was SO long. I thought it’d be a quick little whimsy read to add a book and page count to my yearly reading goals but ohmygAW
Gaslighting as a plot twist is the equivalent of stories written by children finishing by "then they wake up." and like a teacher seeing this for the hundredth time, we cant believe we are reading this again. (anygays great video! I love the paintings in the background just put on the back of the sofa. happy new year!)
Can’t remember but have you ever considered reviewing Otome games? I feel like you’d enjoy the shenanigans that go down in stories like Ikemen vampire or Ikemen Prince (and some are actually pretty well written).
booktok romance picks kinda feel like 50 shades of grey but for people who don't want to acknowledge fanfiction
Love you Cindy! I wish you all happiness, success and health
AND a lot of growth to your youtube channel, I'm down here in Brazil and I never miss ONE video, keep it coming pls ❤😹
Thank you so much!!
I felt my heart lift with anticipation when I saw the title of this video. Cindy with her sass is the best way to start the last weekend of the year.
You're the best!
I absolutely loved From Blood and Ash. The out of left field slang is one of the things that amused me greatly. With that said, your recap has me laugh crying, and I truly appreciate you and your takes 😂
The slang always took me out 😭
Haven’t caught up with all of your vids but I am LOVING the longer hair Cindy! It’s so slay
😊 thank you
THIS IS WHAT I COME TO THIS CHANNEL FOR, NOT SOME POSITIVE AND HEARTFELT REVIEWS 😤
Period
i love your new hair! it gives kenma kozume vibes. iconic
unrelated but your hair is super cute
Thank you! I'm starting to get used to it hehe
@@withcindy it really suits your face :)
10:36 Preach it Cindy. I totally agree with you about the MMC in All I Want For Christmas. I feel like the author of this book stole the sexual assault plot line from Legally Blonde with Elle and Professor Callahan.
My dream is to one day write a novel that Cindy will roast the shit out of. Even if she absolutely despises it I will be giddy from happiness because she even gave it her time and attention. 😂
