Deuteronomy 18 says that any man who teaches against the law of Moses/the Torah is to be killed. Is he saying that Paul did in fact teach against obedience to the Law and therefore should have been stoned? Or even more serious, is he saying that Stephen and Jesus were rightfully murdered because they taught that the Law of Moses is no longer valid?

Check out Torah Class with Tom Bradford and you will learn what Paul really teaches.

Gordon Fee, like Paul, does not believe that the Christian disciple is under the law (Romans 6:14, Galatians 3:24, Romans 7:6 etc). Deuteronomy 18 and all other commands and penalties are irrelevant and superseded in the Spirit. Your question is non-sensical. Apologies if I have missed your point. 😃 Blessings

@@perfectpeace352 As a Christian I don't need a "Torah Class". The Torah, for me was a guardian until Christ came. (Galatians 3:24). Christ has now come, and I am no longer under law (Romans 6:14) This is so because I died to the law (Romans 7:1-4). This death to the law releases me from it, so that I serve in the new way of the Spirit. (Romans 7:6). I do no live my life governed by a written code, but the Spirit writes his code, on my heart. (Romans 7:6, and also anticipated in the Hebrew Scriptures in passages such as Ezekiel 36:27)

So many have misunderstood Paul, and it’s understandable why. His letters where never meant to be taken as doctrine. Jesus did not come to abolish the law, he came to abolish sacrificial rites. He also came to set up a new covenant with his blood. And to bring back the Holy Spirit to only those who believe in him. To make his church kings and priest once again. A right the Adam and Eve lost due to rebelión.

@@elielsolis It seems Jesus also was attacking Pharisees and their bad habits.
